LCT Observatory Parking & Photo Spot Guide
Even Busan locals hesitate to visit
the Haeundae LCT Observatory because of the price tag.
As a traveler who loves a good deal,
I debated whether spending nearly ~$23 on a single observatory was worth it.
But after finding a discount ticket, I decided to go for it✌️
Once I got to the top, with Haeundae Beach stretching out in front
and Mipo and Cheongsapo behind...
I would have seriously regretted missing this view. Phew.

If you're on the fence about the Busan X the Sky admission fee
like I was, here is my complete guide to getting a discount,
navigating LCT parking, and finding the absolute best photo spots!

Busan X the Sky Parking Tips
When using the LCT building's underground parking,
level B2 is usually much quieter than B1.
Level B1 connects directly to the observatory entrance
at the far end, which makes it super convenient, but...
It's also shared with the ClubD Oasis waterpark
in the same building, making parking a total nightmare.

Once you park, make sure to register your license plate
at the 1st-floor ticket office to get your validation.

Best Photo Spots at LCT Observatory
1️⃣100F Shocking Bridge (Glass Floor)

You'd think the highest floor would be the best for photos,
but between the pop-ups, photo booths, and event spaces,
it's actually pretty hard to get a clean portrait with the scenery.

However, the panoramic views of Haeundae from here
are absolutely breathtaking, so definitely soak it all in.

Oh, and the transparent glass floor of the Shocking Bridge is the highlight,
so make sure to snap at least one photo looking down! :)
2️⃣99F Sky Garden & Stairs

The staircase leading down from the 100th to the 99th floor
is a surprisingly great photo zone for portraits.
Have the subject stand on the lower steps,
and the photographer shoot from the upper steps
to capture Haeundae Beach perfectly in the background.

Once you reach the 99th floor, you'll find the Sky Garden
opposite the restaurant. Here, you get gorgeous
views spanning Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong.

It's an open-air space with no ceiling,
so you can literally breathe in the fresh air from 99 floors up.
Don't skip this spot for photos! :)
3️⃣98F Below Starbucks

This is where you can take your time, relax,
and get the best overall shots.
It's the ultimate spot for portraits with the ocean as your backdrop!

With restrooms, lounge areas, and a souvenir shop nearby,
it's super easy to spend a good chunk of time just chilling here :)
World's Highest Starbucks on the 99th Floor

Did you know the Starbucks located on the 99th floor of
the Busan X the Sky observatory is officially the highest in the world?

You have to walk up a set of stairs from the 98th floor to reach it,
and since the store itself isn't massive,
it gets incredibly crowded. I honestly didn't even dare try to grab a seat! ㅠ
They are famous for their signature 'Cotton Sky Yogurt Blended'
and sell exclusive merchandise, so it's definitely worth checking out!
Best Time to Visit for Views & Nightscapes

Personally, I prefer heading up to the observatory
during a bright, sunny afternoon.

To truly appreciate the vibrant contrast between Busan's city skyline
and the deep blue ocean, daytime is unbeatable! But if you love city lights,
I highly recommend timing your visit right around sunset.

The LCT is the second tallest building in South Korea
and a true landmark of Haeundae Beach.
You won't find these views anywhere else,
so it's 100% worth the trip up there.
Just make sure you grab that discount ticket before you go! 😄
