How to Book Busan Sky Capsule Tickets
Haeundae Blueline Park Discounts
I recently discovered the Haeundae Blueline Park,
and I had absolutely no idea that
booking a Sky Capsule would be this competitive!
I consider myself a meticulous travel planner,
but my biggest mistake was underestimating the popularity of this local gem.

If you're like me and started panicking when you saw
the red "Sold Out" text on the official website,
don't worry! Here is my ultimate guide on how to get tickets
when the Busan Sky Capsule is sold out, plus some great discount tips.
※ Note: Prices were updated as of May 1, 2026!

Capacity | Dozens of passengers | 2 to 4 passengers (Private) |
Route | Total ~3 miles Mipo-Cheongsapo-Songjeong | Total ~1.2 miles Mipo-Cheongsapo |
Duration | 25 mins one-way (Hop-on/hop-off available at 7 stops) | 30 mins one-way (No intermediate stops) |
Pros | Tickets are easy to get More affordable | Unobstructed ocean views Private cabin experience Highly photogenic |
Cons | First-come seating Standing room if full 2nd row has bad photo angles | Booking tickets is extremely difficult |
The Beach Train feels a bit like a crowded subway
during peak hours, packed with people.

Since I wanted to snap those perfect selfies with the ocean backdrop,
and enjoy a peaceful, private ocean view,
the Sky Capsule was a no-brainer for me.

If you're traveling all the way to Busan for the sea,
riding the Haeundae Sky Capsule is an absolute must!

Effective May 1, 2026

I literally just rode this yesterday,
and the prices have already gone up as I'm writing this lol
The sooner you book, the better,
so guys, stop hesitating and secure your tickets first!
One-Way Fares (USD) | Beach Train | Sky Capsule |
Adult | ~$8 | 2-Pax ~$38 3-Pax ~$42 4-Pax ~$46 |
Child (36 mos - Elementary) | ~$5 | |
Senior / Disabled | ~$6 | 2-Pax ~$37 3-Pax ~$41 4-Pax ~$45 |
Busan Resident | ~$5 | 2-Pax ~$31 3-Pax ~$35 4-Pax ~$38 |

The good news is that operating hours have been extended!
⏰Beach Train 1st departure 9:30 AM → Changed to 9:00 AM
⏰Sky Capsule 1st departure 9:00 AM → Changed to 8:30 AM

1️⃣Official Website Booking
Tickets open every Tuesday at 7:00 AM
for dates exactly 4 weeks in advance (Monday to Sunday).
*But be warned, they are currently selling out instantly!
2️⃣On-Site Purchase
Your only option here is the "open run"!

With the first train moved up to 8:30 AM since May,
the ticket office opens earlier too.
You need to line up by 8:00 AM minimum to have any chance at a same-day ticket.
3️⃣Booking via Travel Platforms

This is the method I highly recommend,
and here's why:
✔️ Up to 22% cheaper than the official site
✔️ They often have seats even when the official site is sold out
✔️ Partner platforms have their own separate ticket allocations

🔗Save ~$8 by booking via Trip.com here
Do not give up just because the official site says sold out!

Personally, my top recommended platform is
Trip.com, and here are the perks:
🔸 It offers the lowest prices
🔸 You can check real-time availability
🔸 You receive an instant QR code barcode

On the other hand, with platforms like Yanolja (NOL),
you have to purchase the voucher first,
and then select your date/time on a separate booking page.
This means your desired date and time
might be gone by the time you try to lock it in!

Plus, it costs around ~$36,
which is only ~$2 cheaper than the official site,
and about ~$6 more expensive than Trip.com lol
So, always try Trip.com first,
and use Yanolja as a backup!
If you absolutely cannot find a ticket online, you'll have to do the early morning open run.

Even on Trip.com, as I'm writing this and checking,
the available slots are disappearing
in real-time, so there is no time to overthink it.
Book it first, figure out the rest later!
You can even cancel up to one day in advance👍

To everyone reading this because
the Busan Sky Capsule tickets were sold out,
I sincerely hope this guide helps you secure your ride! :)
If tickets are sold out on the official website, you can try purchasing them on-site or through a travel platform. For on-site purchases, you should queue at least 30 minutes before the ticket office opens at 8:30 AM. Among travel platforms, Trip.com is highly recommended.
The Sky Capsule can accommodate 2 to 4 people, and the one-way fare for 2 people is ~$33. The Beach Train is a multi-person ride that can accommodate dozens of people, and the one-way adult fare is ~$7.
The first departure time for the Sky Capsule has changed from 9:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and for the Beach Train, it has changed from 9:30 AM to 9:00 AM. These changes are effective from May 1, 2026.
Trip.com allows purchases at up to 22% cheaper than the official website, and its advantages include real-time remaining ticket checks and immediate QR code issuance. In contrast, Yanolja uses a payment-then-date/time selection method and costs ~$31, which is approximately ~$5 more expensive than Trip.com.
