Actor Gu Seong-hwan's Month-Long Stay on "I Live Alone"
Busan Gwangalli Ocean View Accommodation
My Honest Review (Paid with My Own Money)

(Just a heads up, this photo was taken directly from the room's window...)
Hey there, Global Explorers!
Today, I'm thrilled to share an incredible find: an amazing ocean-view accommodation near Busan's Gwangalli Beach that I recently visited and paid for myself. No sponsorships here, just a genuine recommendation!
For those familiar with Korean entertainment, you might know actor Gu Seong-hwan from the popular reality show "I Live Alone" (Na Honja Sanda). I was captivated by his recent month-long stay in Busan featured on the show.
And guess what? The Gwangalli accommodation I just stayed at seemed to be the exact same building, with an identical layout to the one Gu Seong-hwan called home for a month! Talk about a hidden gem!
The ocean view was genuinely... shockingly good, and I just had to share this experience with all of you!
Gu Seong-hwan's Accommodation
In "I Live Alone," the actor's stay appears around the 3-minute, 3-second mark. Let's take a closer look at the layout from the show's screenshots.

As you can see, it has an "officetel" vibe, with a combined living and kitchen area. The front boasts expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panoramic view of Gwangalli Beach.

It's not blocked by other buildings; instead, it's situated right on the road facing the beach!

Step further inside, and you'll find the bedroom, which also features a full-length window, offering a perfect Gwangalli ocean view.
When I watched the show, I remembered thinking, "Wow, that's a great place... but it was probably lent by a friend, so I'll never find it." Well, I actually managed to track it down!
My Gwangalli Accommodation Experience
The moment you step inside, you're greeted by this breathtaking view through the floor-to-ceiling windows... My friend and I literally gasped when we walked in!

Next to the entrance, you'll find the kitchen area. This layout is also identical to what was shown in the "I Live Alone" episode!

While the exact floor might be different, it definitely felt like I was staying in the same building!
Honestly, when I first saw the listing on Agoda, I was a bit skeptical, but it turned out to be the real deal! (You'll understand why when you see the booking page photos later...)
The bathroom isn't shown in the video, but it's located opposite the kitchen, right by the entrance.

They even thoughtfully provided neatly folded towels, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all available!

This view is beyond romantic... When I sent photos to my sibling, they immediately asked how long it would take to get to the beach. Seriously, if you sprint from the 1st-floor entrance, you could be on the sand in about 10 seconds!
The Gwangalli Ocean View Bedroom
And what's even better? It's not just the living room; the bedroom also boasts an unobstructed ocean view!
The interior is meticulously decorated and incredibly clean. I admit, the photos on the booking page made me a little nervous, but seeing it in person, it was so much better and more pristine than I expected!
Booking Your Busan Gwangalli Stay

Here's the proof of my self-funded stay and the Agoda booking page. Now you can probably see why I was a bit apprehensive about the photos, right? Haha! You'd expect a place like this to be on Airbnb, but it was hidden away with these somewhat unappealing pictures...
Despite the photos, the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Everyone kept saying they'd love to come back, so I decided to take a chance.
And when I arrived, I realized it was the very place I'd always wanted to visit: actor Gu Seong-hwan's month-long Busan retreat!

However, the moment you open the window, you're greeted by the Gwangandaegyo Bridge view, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll along the beach.
My friend and I walked from here to Millak The Market multiple times – it's a fantastic route!
While the weather is a bit warmer now in August 2026, during the early mornings or late evenings, you'll see plenty of people out for a run!

I'll wrap things up with some beautiful night photos of Gwangalli!
At night, we turned the table towards the window, enjoyed some drinks, and watched the illuminated Gwangandaegyo Bridge. It truly felt like we had the whole world at our fingertips!
My friend even suggested we come back here for our own month-long stay next time – that's how much we loved it!
