Gamcheon Culture Village Busan: Top Photo Spots & Guide
Explore Gamcheon Culture Village, Busan's vibrant hillside gem. Discover colorful houses, captivating street art, and iconic photo spots. Get ready for a whimsical adventure!

When you think of a trip to Busan, what comes to mind first?
Haeundae, Gwangalli, Seomyeon, Nampo, Yeongdo, Gijang
Among them, there's a place that will whisk you away to a world of childlike wonder.
A place that's beautiful just to walk through, and where the sunset view is even more spectacular.
I recently visited Gamcheon Culture Village!

Since this is a vibrant neighborhood where locals reside,
please be mindful and quiet when moving around or chatting.
1. Photo Spots
First up, the most famous photo spot, as you might guess, is none other than
the iconic Little Prince statue.
It gets incredibly crowded, so much so that there are staff members dedicated to managing the waiting line.

See that person in the yellow vest on the bottom left?
And to the right, that's the queue of eager visitors!
Because it's such a popular photo spot, they manage everything from organizing the queue
to preventing people from cutting in line.
❗Want to snag a photo without the wait?
Make sure to visit before 11 AM on *any* day, weekdays or weekends.
These days, with a surge of international visitors, it gets bustling even on weekdays!

Our second fantastic photo spot is the Lighthouse and Asteroid.

The third photo spot is just up the stairs inside Gamcheon Culture Station.
When you ascend, you'll find what looks like an old-fashioned water pump – do they still call it that?
This is a popular spot for photos, and the stairs in the left photo are quite popular too!

Honestly, the entire Gamcheon Culture Village could be considered one giant photo zone!
Wander through the countless alleys, and you'll discover so many delightful and unique spots.

Our fourth must-see photo spot is Rainbow Gamcheon.
While it might not be as crowded as the Little Prince statue, you can still expect a bit of a queue here if you visit in the afternoon.

And below, while it's less of a designated 'photo zone' and more of a landmark, you'll find the incredible BTS mural.
It's a huge hit with international visitors for photos!

One wall features a mural with all the BTS members depicted,
while the opposite wall showcases a mural of the members who hail from Busan!

If you're visiting Gamcheon Culture Village all the way to the framed photo zones,
you'll definitely want to bring extra camera batteries!

2. Street Vibes
As I came up from the opposite direction of the Gamcheon Culture Village Information Center,
I wasn't able to buy a map for the stamp tour.
You can buy a stamp tour map (~$1) at the Information Center,
and if you explore with it, your Busan trip will be even more fun!

I heard that all the bags here are made from recycled parasols.

The shops were selling plenty of Busan and Korean tourism souvenirs.
You know how we often pick up magnets when we travel abroad?
Well, that day, I truly felt like a tourist visiting Busan myself!

Gamcheon Culture Village, which I visited on a Saturday weekend,
was absolutely bustling with foreign visitors.
It's wonderful to see so many tourists visiting our country,
especially Busan – it truly feels like the city is coming alive!

I truly hope we'll continue to see even more diverse sights and experiences like these,
making our cities even more vibrant.
The Gamcheon Culture Village Alley Festival takes place twice a year,
in May and October.
I remember visiting during the festival about 10 years ago.

With the sea visible in the distance, it makes the village even more picturesque.

The alleys connect like a charming labyrinth.
Be careful not to get lost, and remember that residents actually live here,
so it's best to refrain from peeking into homes or
making loud noises.

3. Parking Hacks
Parking Spots Only Locals Know About
