Busan Family Itinerary 2026: 1-Night, 2-Day Fun with Kids

You've got a lot to ponder, right?

Busan, from Haeundae and Gwangalli,

has so many famous tourist spots,

that for a short itinerary,

it feels like there's even more to ponder

when deciding what to include and what to leave out.

With my elementary school-aged daughter,

my family of three went on a 1-night, 2-day trip to Busan.

We saw the sea,

browsed cute accessory shops,

visited a character shop that my child would love,

and included cafe breaks along the way.

It's important for a family trip to blend

places I want to visit with

spots my child will adore, you see.

Today, let's put the delicious eats aside for a moment!

Focusing on the places we visited,

here's our 1-night, 2-day Busan family travel itinerary,

and I'll organize some great places to visit with elementary school-aged kids.

Exploring Jeonpo Accessory Shops

Day 1,

before checking into our accommodation,

we had a little time left, so we stopped by two accessory shops

I'd really wanted to visit.

I also absolutely love browsing beautiful home decor items.

These were Bracket Table and Paper Garden.

Bracket Table was instantly my cup of tea the moment I stepped inside!

However, since we were traveling,

I couldn't carry heavy items around,

so I chose a lightweight tray,

and for my daughter, a keychain.

Paper Garden, too,

from aprons to items perfect for table settings,

was a place full of delightful things to browse

if you love beautiful home decor.

Gwangalli: An Essential Stop on Your Busan Family Trip

Of all the places we visited on this Busan trip,

if I had to pick one that was most memorable for our family,

it would definitely be Gwangalli.

You can't come to Busan

and not see the ocean, right?

The sea at Gwangalli looks completely different

at different times: during the day,

at sunset,

and at night.

We even deliberately chose accommodation with a view of Gwangalli Beach.

On our way to dinner,

strolling along Gwangalli Beach,

taking photos with my child,

and simply walking while gazing at the sea,

even the path we took

felt like a scene from our trip.

If you're planning a trip to Busan with children,

rather than cramming your schedule

to see one more tourist spot,

I'd suggest this approach.

And absolutely carve out some time to simply do nothing by the sea, just strolling along.

Gwangalli's Night View, Even Better Than the Daytime!

Gwangalli really shines at night.

The night view with Gwangandaegyo Bridge is stunning,

and there's that unique ambiance of the night sea.

Even on our way back to our accommodation after dinner,

the sea was so captivating

that we ended up taking another night stroll. Haha!

If you plan to catch the drone show,

I recommend not scheduling your evening and dinner

too tightly.

For us, the wait at the restaurant was so long

that by the time we finished eating,

the drone show was almost over.

It was incredibly spectacular,

but we only got to see a little bit, which was a real shame... haha!

Book Accommodation Where You Can Watch the Drone Show From Your Room

On our second day,

we explored Huinyoul Culture Village.

If you've ever looked up photos of Busan trips,

you've probably seen images of charming alleys that stretch along the coast

and beautiful scenic views.

The atmosphere, where charming alleys and the sparkling sea blend together,

truly felt like quintessential Busan.

More than anything, if you're traveling with a child of elementary school age,

rather than a tourist spot where you just see one place and leave,

strolling through the alleys allows you to take photos in beautiful spots,

browse various shops,

and occasionally gaze out at the sea,

making it perfect for a leisurely walking tour.

Since the day we visited

was a scorching summer day,

while exploring Huinyoul Village,

we stopped by Cafe Haille.

Enjoying the stunning ocean view,

our child recharged her energy, and we also

got to relax and catch our breath.

Kid's Favorite?

Miffy Store: Right Up Mom's Alley!

Whenever we travel within Korea,

we make sure to visit any Miffy Store we find.

And naturally, a Miffy Store

couldn't be missed in Busan, could it?

Honestly, it's a character shop

that I love even more than my child does!

Miffy in her sailor outfit is just adorable, isn't she? Haha!

Among Our Busan Family Trip Itinerary,

The Most Memorable Place Was the Accommodation!

When I asked my daughter

what she remembered most from our Busan trip,

surprisingly? It was the accommodation.

Even for a child,

an accommodation with a panoramic view of Gwangalli Beach

must have been the most impressive.

In family trips like this, traveling with children,

I really feel that choosing the right accommodation is also an integral part of the journey.

​

If we were to embark on another family trip to Busan,

this time too,

I'd probably start by looking for accommodation around Gwangalli.

We could play in Gwangalli until evening

and return to our accommodation without traveling far,

and in the morning,

it was wonderful to wake up and take a refreshing stroll along the beach.

Especially if, like us,

you value the Gwangalli sea and its spectacular night views,

comparing accommodations that offer ocean-view rooms

is a fantastic idea.

In Busan, even for accommodations in the same Gwangalli area,

prices can vary quite a bit depending on the date and room type,

so once your travel dates are set,

make sure to compare prices based on *your* specific dates.
