Today, I'm going to share a comprehensive post with 'honey tips' for Blueline Park, covering everything from booking and parking to air conditioning and boarding methods!
First-time visitors often find it confusing to differentiate between the Beach Train and the Sky Capsule,
or where to board and alight. 🤔
Along with my honest review,
I'll neatly organize tips on how to book tickets without fail,
details about air conditioning, and parking information for each station !
1. 🚂 Beach Train vs. 🚡 Sky Capsule: A Quick Comparison
The two trains operate on different sections.
I recommend choosing based on your purpose and group size !

➡️ In conclusion, the **Beach Train** is like a regular train where many tourists ride together, while the **Sky Capsule** is the capsule train you've probably seen a lot on social media, perfect for taking 'life shots' (amazing photos) with your group.
💡Summer ~ Early Autumn Boarding 'Honey Tip' ✨
The **Sky Capsule** only has fans, no air conditioning, so it can get a bit hot during the daytime in mid-summer.
On the other hand, the **Beach Train** has air conditioning, so it's cool and refreshing..!
If you don't want to miss out on those 'life shots' with the Sky Capsule, I recommend a combination:
take the **Sky Capsule for the [Mipo → Cheongsapo] section**, and for **the rest of the route** or your return journey, opt for the cool **Beach Train**.
2. How to Purchase & Book Tickets
Both the Beach Train and Sky Capsule are very popular, so **it's difficult to board without booking in advance.**
**The Sky Capsule, in particular**, is even harder to book.
Tickets for a full week (Mon-Sun) four weeks out are released all at once on the official website every Tuesday at 7 AM.
Due to the high number of foreign tourists, it's incredibly challenging to book.
The **booking method I recommend is Trip.com**! +_+
For both the Beach Train and Sky Capsule,
even if they're sold out on the official website, **Trip.com often has separate allocated tickets due to its partnership, so there might be availability**!
In particular, with other partner sites,
you often can only check availability for your desired date *after* purchasing tickets 😓.
Only Trip.com allows you to **check availability before payment and then purchase**,
and **most importantly, you can book at a lower price than the official website**‼️
(Trip.com offers its own discounted prices)
What's more, once you've purchased your ticket, there's no need to exchange it for a physical one!
You can simply enter directly using the QR code you receive,
which was incredibly convenient. 😊

3. How to Book the Beach Train
For the Beach Train, your first boarding is only possible from three stations:
Mipo, Cheongsapo, or Songjeong.
(Re-boarding is possible at all 7 stations)
When boarding, you absolutely must enter the station at least 10 minutes prior
to departure.
You should simply select the ticket for the station where you'll first board from the options above.
After selecting your desired date,
you'll need to choose between a 1-ride, 2-ride, or 7-ride ticket.
If you have a 🚘car and need to return to your starting station,
you should purchase at least a 2-ride ticket.
I boarded at Mipo, then explored Cheongsapo and Songjeong,
and needed to return to Mipo.
This meant I needed a total of 3 rides,
so I opted for the 7-ride ticket, which covers all stations!

4. How to Book Sky Capsule Tickets
You can select these options and then purchase: 1. Date of use 2. Desired boarding time
3. Boarding location (Mipo→Cheongsapo or Cheongsapo→Mipo)
4. Number of people (2/3/4 passengers)
Even when I checked this screen on August 14th,
most dates were sold out until the end of August.
As I mentioned, booking is incredibly difficult. 🥹
Even so, thanks to Trip.com,
there were still some morning slots left for the end of August!

5. Parking Information 🅿️
✅ Mipo Station
▪ Official Parking Lot: Blueline Park Parking Lot
▪ Discount: 2 hours free when you scan your ticket
▪ Special Notes: Tower parking lot / SUVs and large vehicles cannot park
▪ Alternative: Use nearby private parking lots or the Mipo Public Parking Lot
▪ Actual User Review: I used the Mipo Public Parking Lot (a 5-minute walk away),
and it was great because there were quite a few things to see on the way to the station!

✅ Cheongsapo Station
▪ Official Parking Lot: None
▪ Alternative: Use the Cheongsapo Public Parking Lot, located directly across the road
from the station.
▪ Discount: No parking discounts with your ticket
▪ Actual User Review: Since this is an intermediate station,
there are fewer visitors, making parking convenient,
and its location directly across the road means great accessibility.

▪ Official Parking Lot: Blueline Park Parking Lot
▪ Discount: 2 hours free when you scan your ticket
▪ Actual User Review: It's right next to Songjeong Station,
so accessibility is excellent, and there are fewer visitors!
4. Beach Train Ride and Itinerary Review
I used the Beach Train all-stations pass (7 rides).
Unfortunately, the Sky Capsule was sold out, so I couldn't experience it. 🥹
I planned my route as follows,
and I was absolutely thrilled with it!
① First boarding at Mipo
② Get off at Songjeong and explore
③ Re-board at Songjeong, then get off at Cheongsapo and explore
④ Re-board at Cheongsapo and return to Mipo

When you're waiting in line at the station,
the queues for first-time passengers and re-boarding passengers are separate,
so make sure to check the signs carefully before you queue up.
Boarding closes 10 minutes before departure,
so it's best to arrive at least 15-20 minutes beforehand.
The Beach Train has all its seats facing the ocean,
arranged in a two-tiered theater style. The front row seats are definitely
the best spot for a wide-open ocean view!
Even if you don't get off the train,
you'll still catch glimpses of Haewol Observatory and Daritdol Observatory.
Since you're already on board, why not alight at the final stop,
Songjeong Station, and soak in the beautiful blue Songjeong sea?
After re-boarding at Songjeong,
I got off at Cheongsapo Station on the way back.
The crosswalk right in front of Cheongsapo Station is
a perfect spot to capture a once-in-a-lifetime shot with the train and the sea.
It's a famous photo zone,
so many tourists wait for the train to pass by.

The Sky Capsule is an aerial rail capsule train that only accommodates groups of 2-4 people, and instead of air conditioning, it uses fans and window ventilation. The Beach Train operates along the entire route from Mipo to Songjeong, while the Sky Capsule only operates between Mipo and Cheongsapo.
Tickets for the Sky Capsule are released on the official website every Tuesday at 7 AM for four weeks in advance, but they are very difficult to book. Using Trip.com might offer remaining stock due to their partnership allocation, allows you to check availability before payment, and can be booked at a lower price than the official website.
The Sky Capsule does not have air conditioning and only operates with fans, so it can be hot during midday in mid-summer. For a cooler experience, we recommend a combination of using the Sky Capsule for the [Mipo → Cheongsapo] section, and the air-conditioned Beach Train for the remaining sections or the return journey.
The Beach Train allows first boarding only at Mipo, Cheongsapo, and Songjeong stations. If you need to return to your starting station, you should purchase at least a 2-ride ticket. The article's author purchased a 7-ride ticket, which allows boarding at all stations, to sightsee Songjeong and Cheongsapo from Mipo and return to Mipo.
The official parking lot at Mipo Station is a tower parking facility, so SUVs and large vehicles cannot park there. Cheongsapo Station does not have an official parking lot, so you must use the Cheongsapo Public Parking Lot across the street, which does not offer ticket discounts. The official parking lots at Mipo and Songjeong Stations offer 2 hours of free parking when you scan your ticket.
