Craving a unique burger with a breathtaking ocean backdrop? Burgeryo Yeongdo's scallop burger is a must-try, plus we've got the parking hack for a free drink!
While searching for a great ocean-view restaurant in Yeongdo, I stumbled upon
Burger Yo Busan Main Branch.
Honestly, at first, I just thought it would be a place to enjoy a burger
while gazing at the ocean.
But once I actually tried it, the Scallop Burger
was far more impressive than I ever imagined!

Even though I arrived right at 11 AM, when they opened,
there were already quite a few customers.
Perhaps because it's a spot where you can dine with a stunning view of the Yeongdo sea,
there were many tourists and the atmosphere was lively.
Parking Pointers & Pro Tips!
There aren't many parking lots directly along Yeongdo Huinnyeoul-gil (White Yeoul Coastal Path).
There's a public parking lot nearby,
but it's on a slope, making the walk after parking quite strenuous.
However, the Huinnyeoul Parking Lot,
located right in front of Huinnyeoul-gil, is supported by Burger Yo,
so you can park there!

It's ~$3 for 2 hours prepaid (*as of May 2026).
It's a private parking lot, so the price is a bit on the higher side,
but it's definitely better than getting a parking ticket for parking illegally...
Plus, if you visit Burger Yo, you get a complimentary can of soda,
so I think it's worth it!

Be sure to keep your receipt after paying upfront!
Show your receipt to exchange it for a complimentary drink.
If you plan to visit Huinnyeoul-gil AND enjoy a burger at Burger Yo,
don't even think about parking elsewhere – just park here.
You'll save both time and energy, trust me!
Only 4 Burger Types, But Each is a Winner!
Unlike other burger joints,
there are only 4 types of burgers.
However, each menu item is a main specialty,
which I actually prefer because it eliminates decision fatigue!

The burgers include Scallop Steak Burger, Snow Crab Burger,
Hollandaise Salmon Burger, and Burger Yo Beef Burger.

As for sides, they have just the right selection of classic accompaniments.
And for drinks, they even offer unique options like Nurungji (scorched rice) Shake or Hongsi (persimmon) Shake!
Besides the special shakes, they also have regular sodas
and kid-friendly options.
My Honest Review of the Scallop Burger
If I had to describe the Scallop Steak Burger in one word, it would be:
a "Scallop Wonderland!"
When I first received the burger, I thought the size was typical,
but when I picked it up, it was surprisingly heavy.
Initially, I thought the price was a bit high,
but once I saw it in person, I immediately understood why.

Instead of mincing the scallops,
they were left whole and formed into a patty, making it incredibly thick!
I had imagined it would have a few scallops, similar to a whole shrimp burger,
but I never thought I'd get to eat such a generous amount of scallops that filled my mouth!
Since the scallops are whole, they provide a distinct chewiness,
and the unique umami of scallops lingers in your mouth for quite a while.

The sauce complemented it perfectly, adding a savory yet
nutty flavor.
As I ate, I truly felt that they didn't hold back
on the scallops.
Seriously, no exaggeration, it felt like I'd eaten several years' worth of scallops in one sitting...
I probably won't need to eat scallops again for a while! haha
I also ordered a side dish,
and personally, I preferred the sweet potato fries
over the regular french fries.
Their sweet flavor paired wonderfully with the burger,
and the texture was great too.
Enjoying the Ocean View While You Eat!
The fantastic food isn't the only highlight of Burger Yo.
When you open the door and step inside, you'll immediately see a kiosk for ordering.
Around the corner, there's a mezzanine-like space (or 0.5 floor, as I like to call it),
and then the second and third floors.

With **ocean views from panoramic windows on every floor**, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking!
On clear days, the satisfaction is even higher. (Though, with such an incredible ocean view, I imagine it'd be wonderful even on cloudy or rainy days!)
There's also a rooftop area, and it felt like the ambiance would change quite a bit with each season.

The rooftop has a mirror on the wall, which was fantastic because it reflects the **ocean, allowing you to take incredible full-body selfies with the sea as your backdrop!**
I highly recommend visiting with friends, as a couple, or even with family – basically, anyone can go and snap some amazing photos!

While the space itself isn't particularly huge, the fact that **most seats offer an ocean view** makes it **perfectly sufficient to soak in Yeongdo's unique scenery.**

Especially if you snag a window seat, dining with that ocean view really makes you feel like you're on a true getaway. (And trust me, even as a local from Busan, I loved it! ^^*)
Tips for Your Visit & Good Things to Know
Even if you go right when they open, there are usually already customers, so **I highly recommend visiting early if you can.**
It wasn't quite a waiting line, but **the cooking time after ordering can take a little while**, so...
...if you have plans afterward, like a parking deadline or a train schedule, **it's best to move quickly.**
Since there's a bit of a wait for your food, it might be a good idea to order first and then explore the place.

After your meal, it's a **self-service system where you return your trays yourself**, so keep that in mind. (There's a return area inside, near the entrance kiosk.)
If there's one slight drawback, it's that the space isn't incredibly spacious.
During peak hours, you might find yourself waiting not just for a window seat, but for any seat at all.

Compared to a regular burger joint, the prices might feel a bit on the higher side.
However, considering the generous portion of the scallop burger and the quality of ingredients, it felt quite reasonable.

If you're looking to enjoy a special burger while gazing at the Yeongdo sea, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
Especially if you're a fan of scallops, I think you'll be highly satisfied! :)

We recommend using the Heenyeoul Parking Lot, located right in front of Heenyeoul-gil, for BurgerYo Busan Main Branch. Parking here costs ~$3 for 2 hours (as of May 2026), and you can receive one complimentary can of drink by presenting your BurgerYo receipt.
BurgerYo's Scallop Steak Burger is made by forming several whole scallops into a thick patty without mincing them. Its distinctive features are the satisfying chewiness of the whole scallops filling your mouth and the unique umami flavor inherent to scallops.
Even if you arrive right at BurgerYo's opening time of 11 AM, there tend to be customers, so it's best to visit as early as possible. Please note that cooking time after ordering can be a bit long, and after your meal, it's a self-service system where you return your trays to the designated area behind the kiosk.
There are a total of 4 types of burgers: Scallop Steak Burger, Snow Crab Burger, Hollandaise Salmon Burger, and BurgerYo Beef Burger. Side dishes include French fries and sweet potato fries, with sweet potato fries reportedly having particularly high satisfaction.
