While most people only budget a quick day or two in Granada, this city has a special place in my heart. To truly soak in the Andalusian charm and take a few day trips to nearby towns, I decided to spend three full nights here.
When you're staying in one spot for three nights, finding the perfect hotel is absolutely crucial. A bad accommodation choice can easily put a damper on your mood and ruin your travel stamina. After hours of careful research, I found a place that exceeded all my expectations.

Granada has a slightly elongated layout. The main bus terminal is located in the northern part of the city, while the bustling historic center sits just south of the middle. The area surrounding the Granada Cathedral is the absolute sweet spot—this is where you want to base yourself.
Going on a tapas crawl is a non-negotiable experience in Granada. Because many of the best tapas bars run late into the night, staying in a central, highly walkable location makes getting back to your room incredibly easy and safe.
While the bus terminal is a bit far from the Cathedral, the two areas are connected by frequent, easy-to-use local city buses.
As you can see on the map above, Boutique Hotel Luna Granada (marked with the star) is perfectly situated in the city center, just a scenic 10-minute walk (about 0.5 miles) from the Cathedral.
2. A Perfect Blend of Location, Style, and Value
On average, hotel prices in Granada tend to be slightly more affordable than in neighboring Seville. This makes Granada the perfect destination to treat yourself to a gorgeous 4-star or 5-star boutique hotel without blowing your budget.
Boutique Hotel Luna Granada is a beautifully restored historic building located right in the city center. Because it's a preserved heritage property, it only stands three stories tall, but the interior has been completely renovated into a modern design lover's dream.
The main entrance sits right on a bustling avenue, leading into a chic lobby with cozy seating areas.
(The lobby has such a warm, inviting aesthetic. I seriously wanted to copy this interior design for my own home!)
Just look at those colors! I fell in love with the hotel’s design the second I walked in. There is even a sleek modern fireplace behind the sofa that adds a wonderfully cozy touch to the lobby.
The reception area is small and intimate, and the two staff members on duty welcomed me with incredible warmth and hospitality.
After checking in, I took the elevator up to my floor. The color palette of muted pinks and warm wood tones throughout the hallways is absolutely gorgeous. Time to tap the key card and check out the room!
3. Standard Double Room Review
I stayed in the entry-level Standard Double Room for my 3-night stay. The layout of this room is incredibly unique.
As soon as you walk in, you’ll find the vanity and sink immediately to your left, while the private toilet cabin is on your right.
If I had to point out one minor drawback of this hotel, it would be this split-bathroom layout. Let me explain why.
The vanity area comes fully equipped with a high-quality hairdryer and premium bath amenities.
In line with modern eco-friendly trends, the toiletries are provided in large, refillable bottles, but the quality is top-tier. They use products from RITUALS, a beautiful Dutch brand that is highly popular across Europe. The scent was absolutely divine!
Step past the entryway, and you’re greeted by a wonderfully spacious bedroom. The clean tile flooring feels crisp and cool, and there is plenty of floor space to lay out two large suitcases without feeling cramped.
See that door on the right side of the photo? That is where the actual shower room is located.
It's a dedicated shower cabin. While having the toilet, shower, and sink separated can be convenient if two people are trying to get ready at the same time, it can feel a bit disjointed if you prefer a traditional, all-in-one bathroom layout.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and ensured a great night's sleep.
The large bed featured crisp, clean linens and two types of pillows—one ultra-plush and one slightly firmer.
I loved that both sides of the bed had their own nightstands, light switches, and power outlets. It's a small detail, but so important for overnight charging!
Opposite the bed is a large Smart TV, a wide work desk, and a sleek, open-concept wardrobe. Instead of a bulky closed closet, the open shelving and hanging rack made the room feel even airier and made unpacking a breeze.
On the desk, they provided a kettle, a capsule espresso machine, two complimentary bottles of water, and some delicious local almond treats (which were absolutely addictive!).
The open wardrobe unit also houses a digital safe, plush pool towels, and a mini-fridge tucked neatly underneath.
4. Beautiful Hotel Amenities
Let's take a look at the stunning dining and lounge area located just past the lobby.
Right at the entrance, there is a complimentary 24/7 coffee and tea station for guests. It was such a nice perk to grab a hot drink after a long day of exploring!

The central courtyard features a beautiful, traditional Andalusian-style water fountain and a gorgeous, light-filled dining space.
Since I arrived late on my first evening, the courtyard was quiet and beautifully lit. Let's see how stunning this space looks when the morning sun shines through!
Up on the rooftop, you'll find a small, refreshing plunge pool. It overlooks a lively public square below. The entire neighborhood felt so vibrant, safe, and cheerful to walk around, even late at night.

This is the view of the courtyard from my room during breakfast hours. The natural light flooding the space is absolutely breathtaking, isn't it?
Because I had busy, early-morning itineraries, I didn't opt for the hotel breakfast, but it looked incredibly inviting.
The breakfast spread features fresh fruits, artisanal breads, Spanish cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, and yogurts. The landscape design of this courtyard patio is pure perfection.
With a stellar 4.8 rating on Google, Boutique Hotel Luna Granada lives up to every bit of the hype. It offers an unbeatable location, stunning design, and exceptional value for money.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is the service. Out of all the hotels I stayed at during my European trip, the staff here were hands-down the friendliest and most welcoming. Their hospitality felt incredibly genuine and made my stay so memorable.
The front desk staff went above and beyond, marking up a map with their personal recommendations for the best local tapas bars and hidden gems.
