1. Bohol Travelog ATM Withdrawal Fees
For my cash withdrawal,
I used the BPI Bank ATM
located in Alona Beach, Panglao.
📍 Bank Of The Philippine Islands
Alona, Entertainment Village, Alona Beach Rd, Panglao, 6340 Bohol, Philippines
I headed over to the BPI Bank, which is
📍 located right across the street from Goong Spa Branch 1.

📌
Maximum withdrawal limit per transaction: 20,000 PHP
Fee per transaction: 250 PHP
The fee is 250 PHP per withdrawal
(which is roughly ~$4).
Whether you withdraw 10,000 PHP
or 20,000 PHP,
the flat fee is always 250 PHP.
I was so organized and topped up exactly 20,250 PHP,
expecting to withdraw it smoothly.
But then my PIN got locked, and I totally panicked! 🤣
There are actually fee-free ATMs in Bohol.
However, they aren't located near Alona Beach,
and their locations are a bit awkward.
When you factor in the cost of a round-trip tricycle ride,
it might save your sanity to just pay the fee
and withdraw from the BPI ATM nearby.
(Fuel prices have gone up lately, so tricycle rides aren't cheap anymore ㅠ)
First, I'll walk you through the withdrawal process,
and then I'll share how to fix it
if your PIN gets locked!
2. How to Withdraw Cash Using Travelog at a Bohol BPI ATM

I was staying at a diving resort,
but on the first day, I needed to exchange money
and get some dinner.
So I headed out to Alona Beach
and stopped by the BPI ATM.
I made my way to Alona Beach by using the pickup service from

Even if the Bohol BPI Bank branch is closed,
the ATM booth is still accessible, so you can withdraw cash anytime.

Let's withdraw some cash!

These are the types of cards accepted here.
Just for reference, I used the Hana Money Travelog card!

Once you're at the ATM,
✔️ insert your card first.

✔️ Enter your 6-digit PIN
Your 4-digit PIN + 00
Even though you set up a 4-digit PIN when creating the card,
you just need to add "00" at the end here.

Confidently type in your 6-digit PIN

✔️ Tap "Other"

✔️ Enter 20,000
✔️ Tap "Submit"

✔️ Select "Savings"

The anticipation is real... 🤞

A notice pops up showing a 250 PHP fee
✔️ Tap "Yes"

✔️ The slot will flash, telling you to take your card

Once you take your card,
✔️ your Pesos will dispense from below!
Haha, my card got locked on the very first try,
so we went to get a massage, had some lunch,
and finally succeeded in withdrawing cash 3 hours later!!!!!!
3. What to do if your Bohol Travelog ATM withdrawal fails
📌 What to do if your Travelog card gets locked due to an incorrect PIN
How to Reset and Change Your Travelog PIN After an Overseas ATM Error
Just take a deep breath, reset your PIN,
and try withdrawing again.
When Alona Beach is crowded,
the internet connection itself gets super slow!
(Whether you're on Wi-Fi or eSIM,
the area right around Alona Beach is the slowest)

Luckily, we brought an extra $100 in cash,
which saved the day...!
Since we had a pre-booked schedule to catch,
we just popped into the nearest money changer
right next to the BPI Bank at Alona Beach.
And it turned out this place had
the absolute best exchange rate in Alona Beach!
Face BPI Bank,
walk to the left,
and it's right across the street from Goong Spa (Branch 1)!

While other places offered 58 or 59,
only this place was giving over 60.

Even if your withdrawal fails because of a wrong PIN,
don't stress if you have your Travelog card.
✔️ Lamoy
✔️ Gerry's Grill
✔️ Jollibee
Several great spots around Alona Beach
accept Travelog card payments,
so you can head over to grab a delicious meal
while you sort out resetting your PIN.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the withdrawal limit per transaction and the fee for the BPI Bank ATM at Alona Beach in Panglao?
The maximum withdrawal amount per transaction is 20,000 pesos, and a fee of 250 pesos is charged per transaction regardless of the withdrawal amount. There are ATMs without fees, but they are far from Alona Beach, so considering the round-trip cost of a tuk-tuk, using BPI Bank might be more advantageous.
How should I enter the 6-digit PIN when withdrawing cash with a Travelog card at a BPI Bank ATM in Bohol?
You need to enter a total of 6 digits by adding the numbers '00' to the end of your previously set 4-digit card PIN. If your card gets locked due to incorrect PIN entries, you can change and reset your PIN through the app.
If cash withdrawal fails, which restaurants around Alona Beach accept direct payments with a Travelog card?
Popular restaurants around Alona Beach such as Lamoy, Gerry's Grill, and Jollibee accept Travelog card payments. Even if you don't have cash right away, you can eat here while resetting your card PIN.

It is a money changer located to your left when facing the BPI Bank directly, right across the street from Goong Spa Branch 1. As of late March, while other places offered exchange rates of 58 to 59, this was the only place offering 60 or more.
