Busan Film Festival 2026: Pop-Up Stores & Merch Guide
Dive into the heart of the 2026 Busan International Film Festival! Explore official merchandise, brand lounges like Nespresso, and find all the pop-up operating hours for a fantastic festival experience.

Busan in October is absolutely awash with cinema.
The Busan International Film Festival, celebrating its 31st year,
is running from October 6th to 15th! 🎬
But the fun of the festival isn't confined to just
the screening rooms.
At Dureraum Square, located at the Busan Cinema Center,
you'll find a merchandise shop and various brand lounges,
so you can soak in the festive vibe
even if you're not watching a film.
I personally explored the BIFF merchandise shop,
indulged at the Nespresso coffee lounge,
and checked out the Netflix Sarangbang.
I also took a peek at the Hanmac and Norang Tongdak spaces.
Today, I'll give you a comprehensive rundown, from merchandise stock updates I gathered on-site,
to coffee reviews, and the operating hours for each pop-up.

check before you visit.
2. BIFF Merchandise Shop @p!tt GROUND

This is the BIFF Merchandise Shop @p!tt GROUND,
where you can find all the official festival goodies.
From 2026 official merchandise and mobile accessories,
to goods featuring Bread, the festival mascot,
there was truly a wide variety of items!
How to Purchase Merchandise

The process is simple: browse items at the MD Display Zone,
mark your desired merchandise on an order form,
and then pay at the MD Checkout Zone.
However, when I visited,
many items were already sold out 😭

I asked a staff member, and they informed me that
restocks happen periodically,
and updates can be found on Instagram.
So, if there's a specific item you're set on buying,
it's a good idea to check the official announcements
before heading over.

There were also some items, like the p!tt x IAB STUDIO T-shirts,
that were limited to one purchase per person.
Keycap Zone — Keyrings Thoughtfully Designed for the Cinema

Personally, the Keycap Zone was what I found most fascinating.

Keycap keyrings are usually items that make a 'click-clack' sound when pressed,
but for the film festival,
they actually developed a special keycap body
that doesn't make any noise!
You know, that click-clack sound could be distracting
to other moviegoers during a screening.
So, they designed it so you can close the cover inside the theater,
but then click away to your heart's content outdoors.
I thought it was such a clever and considerate idea,
perfectly fitting for a film festival! 🎹
📌 Customizable with 25 types of keycaps and 4 types of switches
📌 Receive decorative stickers when you purchase a keycap body

And what immediately captured my heart was
the 'Surviving a Film Festival Without Burning Out'
minibook keychain!
The name alone perfectly understood the heart of a film festival enthusiast,
making me chuckle! 😂
💡 Heeheehohi's Travel Tip |
Check for popular merchandise's stock status and restock updates. When I visited, many items were sold out, and a staff member advised checking Instagram for frequent restocks. Besides the Busan Cinema Center, the CGV Centum City 7th-floor merchandise shop is also open, so be sure to check that out too. The operating period is October 7-14, from 10:00 to 19:00. |
3. Nespresso Coffee Lounge

Nespresso, an official sponsor of the film festival,
also opened a coffee lounge at Dureraum Square.
Here, I tried the Apple Cloud and an
iced latte.

Apple Cloud — A Sweet Twist
It's a coffee that blends cotton candy and apple flavors.
At first, you taste the coffee's bitterness,
but then a wave of sweetness follows right after.
A taste like 'bitterness followed by sweetness'! 🍎
If you love sweet coffee,
this was a fun drink to try.
Blue Bottle Capsule Iced Latte
— More ordinary than expected
I was informed that the iced latte was made with
Blue Bottle capsules.
I had a bit of an expectation because of the 'Blue Bottle' name,
but after trying it,
it wasn't particularly impressive.
It was a decent iced latte, but
personally,
it wasn't impressive enough for me to want to buy the capsules separately.
In fact, the film festival exclusive,
Apple Cloud, was more memorable.

Lucky Draw — 5th Place Twice!
Each time you buy a drink,
you get one chance at the lucky draw.
The grand prize was a Vertuo Up coffee machine,
so I excitedly drew twice.
The results...
Both were 5th place sticker packs!
Still, I followed Nespresso Korea's Instagram and
received free popcorn.
There was also a photo booth, but the line was
too long, so I gave up on taking photos.
Two coffees, two lucky draws,
and even popcorn —
I still had a pretty fulfilling time.
4. Hanmac Smooth Lounge · Norangtongdak Chicken Zone

Hanmac Smooth Lounge
At the Hanmac Lounge,
they were selling Hanmac Extra Creamy Draft Beer 16oz
for ~$3.
If you bought a draft beer, you'd get a
popcorn package on a first-come, first-served basis,
and they also sold limited edition merchandise 🍺
There were also comfy bean bags near the lounge.
It looked like a great spot to take a break
while exploring the film festival.

Norangtongdak Chicken Zone
Right next to the Hanmac Lounge was the
Norangtongdak Chicken Zone.
It's a place that sells crispy chicken with flavors enhanced by
traditional Korean sauces 🍗
The setup was perfect for enjoying beer and chicken together,
but I didn't have 'Chimaek' (chicken and beer) here.
Instead, I made a quick dash to the Shinsegae basement food court! 🏃♀️
Instead, I thought it would be great to use both spaces together.
🎧 How to Experience |
The recommended route is Norangtongdak Chicken Zone → Hanmac Smooth Lounge. Wouldn't it be perfect to buy chicken first, then grab a draft beer and relax on a bean bag to fully soak in the outdoor film festival vibe? This isn't a review from having 'Chimaek' myself, but rather a recommended course I thought of while exploring the area. Note that the Chicken Zone closes at 7 PM and the Hanmac Lounge at 8 PM, so plan your time accordingly. |
5. Netflix Sarangbang (Closed)

The Netflix Sarangbang, which I personally visited,
unfortunately ceased operations on October 10th.
However, it was a fun space,
so I'll leave a record of it here.
📌 Location
1st Floor, 30 Centumseo-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan
(Across from Centum New York Coffee, opposite the Busan Cinema Center)

Netflix 4-Cut — Free Commemorative Photos
What I loved most was that **at the 'Netflix 4-Cut' photo booth,**
**you could take free commemorative photos!**
High-angle shots were also possible,
allowing me to capture unique commemorative photos
with a different vibe from the usual! 📸

Beyond that, if you picked a keyword,
you could receive famous quote cards
from Netflix titles.
There was also a space to reflect on Netflix titles from the past 10 years
and leave a message. From photo stickers of featured works and 10th-anniversary stickers,
to a 10th-anniversary magnet you'd get for participating in a photo verification event,
there was a fantastic variety of souvenirs!

You could even see the autographs left by Director Lee Chang-dong and actors Sol Kyung-gu, Jo Yeo-jeong,
Jo In-sung, and Jeon Do-yeon, among others, who visited!
If you're a movie fan, I bet it would have been incredibly fun
to seek out each and every autograph ✨
The Busan International Film Festival pop-up was truly
**a place where you could soak in the festival atmosphere**
**even without watching films.**
While the goods shop had many sold-out items, which was a little disappointing,
I still got to see interesting merchandise, like a keycap keyring designed for moviegoers.
At the Nespresso booth,
I enjoyed an Apple Cloud and an Iced Latte,
and even participated in a lucky draw!
And at the Netflix Sarangbang (a delightful gathering place),
I enjoyed free commemorative photos
and a variety of interactive experiences.
**From merchandise shopping to coffee, and commemorative photos,**
**the joy of the film festival extended far beyond**
**the screening rooms!**
While the film festival itself runs until October 15th,
most of the pop-ups at Durerae Square will only be open until the 14th.
If you're planning a visit,
make sure to check the operating hours and merchandise availability in advance.
