Looking for a hotel for 3 people in Nagoya?
Here is my 100% honest review of a place I absolutely loved.
✅ Incredible value for money
✅ Public bath and breakfast included
✅ Perfectly located near the station
Making airport transfers a total breeze!
If you've been struggling to find accommodation in Nagoya,
you definitely need to check this place out.
The Struggle: Finding a Nagoya Hotel for 3
It was much harder than I expected
to find a decent room for three people in Nagoya.
True triple rooms are surprisingly rare,
the good ones are always fully booked,
and even when you find one, there's usually no space to open three suitcases.
Most of the time, it just feels like a tiny double room with an extra cot squeezed in.
So, I completely changed my strategy.
Instead of looking for a triple room,
I started searching for hotels with connecting rooms.
When you think about it, three people sharing a single tiny bathroom
would have been a massive hassle anyway.
After days of intensive searching,
I finally booked this spot because it's close to the station, great for airport access,
includes a public bath and breakfast,
and is incredibly budget-friendly.
Location & Access
📍 Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisayaodori
1-chōme-12-32 Izumi, Higashi Ward, Nagoya, Aichi 461-0001, Japan
✔️ Check-in: 3:00 PM
✔️ Check-out: 10:00 AM
Luggage storage available
Once I confirmed they had connecting rooms,
the next crucial factor was the location.
No matter how nice the room is,
if a hotel doesn't meet these criteria:
👉 Easy access to and from the airport
👉 Close to the meeting points for day-tour buses
...it's an immediate pass for me.
Kuretake Inn Hisayaodori
is located just 0.2 miles (a 5-minute walk) from the station,
making the airport commute effortless.
It's also only 0.3 miles (a 7-minute walk) from Mirai Tower,
which is the main meeting point for most bus tours.
There are FamilyMart and 7-Eleven convenience stores right nearby,
and a beautiful park is just across the street, which was perfect for morning walks or grabbing a coffee.
If I had to name one slight downside,
it's about a 15-minute walk to the bustling Sakae area.
However, unless you're dragging heavy luggage,
it's a very pleasant, walkable distance,
so it didn't feel inconvenient at all.
Plus, just a 3-minute walk from the hotel,
you can enter the underground walkway
that connects straight to Sakae.
This is a massive perk on rainy or extremely hot days!

I booked a 3-night stay for ~$608,
but depending on the season, rates can drop to around ~$385!
(Based on the same room type and days of the week)
Pro-tip: Book well in advance!
Not only to lock in a great price,
but because weekends sell out incredibly fast.
Non-smoking rooms are always the first to go! 🔥
Connecting Room Review

As soon as we walked in,
my first impression was literally:
"Wow, is this a brand new hotel?"
Everything was spotlessly clean,
which instantly put us in a great mood.

My second thought was,
"Booking a connecting room was the best decision ever."
The space was much larger than expected.
We had all three of our suitcases fully open on the floor,
and we could still walk around without tripping over them.

If you've traveled to Japan before, you know the drill.
Usually, you have to play hopscotch over your luggage...
Especially for a group of 3,
having floor space is absolutely crucial.

Another massive game-changer:
Having TWO bathrooms!
When three people share one bathroom,
getting ready in the morning takes forever.
Having two meant we had so much more time to relax.
The bathrooms were pristine,
and the shower curtains were fresh and dry—
no damp, musty smells at all.
Also, the hairdryer had strong airflow,
which is a huge relief when you're in a rush.

Something I didn't even expect:
The view was phenomenal.
We had a direct view of Mirai Tower! :)
We kept the curtains open the entire time we were awake.
The beds were comfortable,
but I was especially impressed by the pillows.
They offer various height options,
and you can request a different one if yours doesn't suit you.

The room came equipped with almost everything we needed.

And here's a random but amazing detail:
The freezer compartment in the mini-fridge actually works perfectly.
We bought some crème brûlée ice cream from the convenience store,
and it froze even more solid than when we bought it!
We stocked up and enjoyed ice cream every night.
They provided daily housekeeping,
so the room always felt fresh when we returned.
The only minor downside:
They don't provide complimentary bottled water,
so you'll need to grab some from the convenience store.
Public Bath & Breakfast

To be honest, I didn't think
I would use the public bath at all.
But I ended up going every single night! Haha.
After walking miles all day,
soaking in the hot water
completely melted away the fatigue.
It became a nightly ritual.
The bath area isn't massive
(honestly, it's a bit small...),
but it never felt crowded,
so we could always relax comfortably.
It's not the kind of place you lounge in for hours,
but a quick 30-40 minute soak is absolute perfection.
Another hidden benefit:
Because we showered in the public bath every night,
our hotel room never got humid.
Since we weren't using the room showers,
the air stayed crisp and dry, making it so much more comfortable.

The breakfast is a classic Japanese home-style buffet.
It's not overly extravagant,
but everything is consistently delicious.
They serve curry, fresh pastries, udon, and more,
making it perfect for a quick, satisfying bite before heading out.
The curry, in particular, is surprisingly addictive!
The menu rotates slightly every day,
so we didn't get tired of it over our 3-day stay.
It was the perfect way to fuel up
before starting our itinerary.
👉 A public bath wasn't a strict requirement for me,
but it significantly elevated our entire stay.
Other Amenities

The entrance to Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisayaodori
is a bit discreet, so keep your eyes peeled
so you don't walk right past it.

The lobby is small and cozy.
Check-in was a breeze using the self-serve kiosks
with a QR code provided beforehand.

Overall, the vibe leans more towards a
business hotel frequented by Japanese locals
rather than a chaotic tourist hub.
Because of this, it's very quiet
and peaceful, which I absolutely loved.

Also, they host a Happy Hour every day
from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM,
where you can enjoy a free drink in the dining area.
They offer alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, and
even some light snacks.
There are also vending machines (including beer!)
on the 1st floor, so if you're too tired to even walk to
the convenience store across the street, you're covered.

Finding a hotel for 3 in Nagoya was a challenge, but
booking Kuretake Inn Nagoya Hisayaodori
was an absolute bullseye.
Going with a connecting room was a stroke of genius!
Having plenty of space to open our luggage
and two bathrooms to eliminate morning traffic jams
made the trip incredibly smooth.
The location near the station
and the bus tour meeting points
made our itinerary effortless.
I didn't expect much from the public bath,
but going every night
turned out to be the ultimate travel hack for sore muscles.
The staff was also wonderfully kind!
They greeted us with bright smiles every time,
which made our stay even more pleasant.
If you're looking for a Nagoya hotel for a group of 3,
I confidently recommend this place! :)
