If it's your first time in Shanghai,
where you stay is super important.
This place is located so close to The Bund,
making it the perfect spot to walk back to
after enjoying the gorgeous night views.
✔️ About a 5-minute walk to The Bund Plaza
✔️ About an 8-minute walk to East Nanjing Road
Since the location is absolutely perfect,
it's also a great option if you're traveling with kids!
The hotel is tucked slightly away in an alley.
I was worried it might be noisy since it's close to The Bund,
but it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful, perfect for resting.
There are quite a few
Atour Hotels in Shanghai alone,
but the specific branch I stayed at is
the East Nanjing Road Shanghai on the Bund branch.
Since there are several branches
with similar names near East Nanjing Road,
make sure to double-check when booking and navigating!!

had a incredibly clean and modern lobby.
We arrived in Shanghai in the evening,
and as we were heading to our room,
we noticed they were offering late-night snacks!
How amazing is that?
If you're tired after a late arrival,
you can easily grab a quick bite here.
Interestingly, they put an '8' in front of all room numbers,
which can be a bit confusing...
Don't get lost trying to find your room!
Superior Family Room
The room we booked this time was the Superior Family Room.
The bed setup comes with
one single bed and one queen bed,
making it perfect for up to 3 people!
Overall, the room was super clean and neat.
While it wasn't massive,
It was more than spacious enough for three people.
As soon as you open the door,
you'll spot the clothes rack and sink right on your left.
The bathroom was super clean with a separate shower booth,
and all the essential amenities were provided.
The toothbrush they provided was surprisingly high quality...
Honestly, I should've packed it to go!🙄
The towels were individually wrapped in plastic like this,
which made me feel like they really care about hygiene.
All the drinks in the mini-fridge are completely free!

I booked a Saturday night stay in the ~$122 range.
Since I booked nearly three months in advance,
I managed to snag a pretty great deal.
On weekends, you can usually book a room
in the ~$128 to ~$160 range per night.
Prices can vary depending on your travel dates,
so make sure to compare prices before booking!
(Pro tip: Trip.com is usually the cheapest for China!)

We booked our room with breakfast included and decided to give it a try.
The breakfast buffet had a surprisingly wide variety of options,
and it was definitely worth trying at least once.

On the other hand, if you prefer eating out,
booking without breakfast
is a great way to save some extra cash.
