On my last day in Singapore, I visited Atlas Bar, one of the World's 50 Best Bars.
I took a taxi and got off at Singapore's Parkview Square building.
It's quite centrally located in Singapore.

If you enter that honeycomb-shaped building, you'll find the Singapore Atlas Bar.
The height is immense, and even the ceilings are all
Delicate gold-like decorations are meticulously incorporated everywhere.
It doesn't feel like it was hastily put together just to look grand, but rather like some kind of
Egyptian + Greek? It feels like an ancient ruin.
It feels like a place ancient people built to be a palace.
I heard that walk-ins are usually quite successful during weekday afternoons without a reservation, so
I just confidently walked in, and didn't have to wait at all.
I immediately succeeded in walking into Singapore Atlas Bar.
Since I was a party of one, getting in seemed even smoother.
There are designated time slots for Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, and After-Dinner,
And while there are quite a few walk-in seats available without a reservation,
The wait can be very, very long on weekends or during dinner hours, so
Reservations are highly recommended.
And especially if you're traveling to Singapore with a larger group, or if you want a table with a great view in the center,
Reservations are essential.

Last order time for each reservation slot is
15 minutes before the closing time
Lunch reservations 12pm, 2:30pm (last order 2:15)
Grazing light nibbles 2:30pm-6pm
Atlas Afternoon Tea reservations 3pm, 3:30pm, 4pm
Dinner 6pm-10pm (last order 9:45)
Late night dining 10pm-12am

Cocktail prices at Singapore's Atlas Bar range from 25-35 SGD, which is around ~$21-$28.
Considering Singapore's cost of living and the scale and reputation of a bar like this, I felt it was a very reasonable price.
I read reviews mentioning the '3 Times Charm,' a Martini Sampler course featuring three signature Atlas Bar martinis: the Atlas Martini, Momento, and Espresso Martini. At 42 SGD, it seemed like a great value with a wonderful presentation, but since I was alone, I decided to pass on it.

When you first sit down, they ask if you'd like water, sparkling or still.
They don't explicitly mention it, but water costs an extra 6 SGD.
Was sparkling water more expensive? Anyway,
if you choose sparkling water, they bring you a large bottle, and the staff refills your glass whenever it's empty.
For such a luxurious bar, I felt this cost was acceptable.
At Singapore's Atlas Bar, the Espresso Martini looked delicious, so I ordered it,
and it was truly, truly amazing!
Was it from this moment on that I started only ever drinking Espresso Martinis? 😉
Oh, and at Singapore's Atlas Bar,
you can also order meals, with dishes costing around 25-48 SGD each.
And for small bites that pair perfectly with drinks,
they are around 12-20 SGD.
They also serve complimentary snacks, like these sweet potato chips!

I was seated at the bar, and it was right opposite
the iconic 8-meter-tall Gin Tower at Singapore's Atlas Bar,
which houses over 1300 types of gin.
This spot was fantastic for photos and offered a perfect view!

And the Japanese couple sitting next to me
asked what that painting in the center was,
and I listened in as the bartender explained it.
Turns out, that painting isn't just some anonymous character;
the owner of this building is Hwang Chou Shiuan, a real estate mogul from Taiwan, and
the founder of Chyau Fwu Group = Parkview Group.
And this very building, home to Atlas Bar, was actually his last major architectural project!
So this building is owned by the Hwang family,
and this bar within the building
was actually created by his granddaughter.
She envisioned it as a place to honor both her grandfather and the magnificent spaces he brought to life.
So, that painting? It's a portrait of her amazing grandfather!
To put such a grand, truly breathtaking, and utterly overwhelming bar
inside a building like this,
both the grandfather and his granddaughter were truly magnificent!
If you head up the stairs next to the towers on either side,
you'll discover a fantastic second-floor space.
From here, looking down at Singapore's Atlas Bar,
you can capture some truly spectacular photos!
Since it was my last day, I went with all my luggage in tow.
They kindly stored it for me right at the entrance.
But even so, it was a bit inconvenient, and
dare I say, a little embarrassing…
If you sit or stand in that very spot, your photos will turn out absolutely stunning!
Especially during the day, when that second floor doesn't take reservations, it's even more perfect for getting those incredible shots.
Just a heads-up though, it's a visible spot from below, so you might want to be mindful of that.
It seems wearing something a little long and dressy really helps capture the perfect vibe!
And for Singapore's Atlas Bar,
based on many review photos I've seen,
it seems bright daytime shots actually turn out much better than those taken at night.
Oh, and guess what? When I mentioned it was a bit chilly at Atlas Bar, they were so kind to lend me a blanket!
Even the restrooms were decorated in this magnificent, golden-hued style.
Oh, and as you'd expect from such a high-end bar,
Singapore's Atlas Bar also has
a 'smart casual' dress code.
This dress code is strictly enforced from 5 PM onwards.
For men, shorts and open-toed shoes are prohibited,
and for everyone, sneakers, sportswear, flip-flops, Birkenstocks, Crocs, and similar casual footwear are not allowed.
For women, it also seems that excessively short outfits might be an issue.
From the ceiling decorations to the intricate details of the murals and bronze ornaments, everything was simply
stunning!
Personally, I felt that Singapore is a country with incredibly beautiful architecture.
First, the Singapore Art Museum, and second, Atlas Bar.
You absolutely must visit!

During weekday afternoons, walk-in access without a reservation is relatively easy, and the author successfully entered immediately without any wait. However, during weekends or dinner hours, wait times can be long, so reservations are recommended.
The dress code applies from 5 PM onwards. Men are required to wear long trousers and closed-toe shoes. Women should avoid overly short attire or slippers. For both men and women, athletic wear, sportswear, and flip-flops are prohibited.
Cocktails range from 25-35 SGD, and coffee types are 5-9 SGD. Food items are 25-48 SGD, and small bites are 12-20 SGD. Water costs an additional 6 SGD. A representative 3-glass Martini Sampler Course is 42 SGD.
Time slots are divided into Lunch (12 PM-2:30 PM), Afternoon Tea (3 PM, 3:30 PM, 4 PM), Dinner (6 PM-10 PM), and Late Night Dining (10 PM-12 AM). Afternoon Tea, in particular, is available by reservation only.
You can take great photos from the bar seats opposite the 8-meter-high Gin Tower, or from the second-floor area accessible via the stairs next to the tower. The second floor, in particular, does not take reservations during the day, making it ideal for photos, and pictures generally turn out better in bright daylight than at night.
