AND HOTEL HAKATA
A Complete Review
If you're planning a trip to Fukuoka in 2026, finding the perfect accommodation is probably at the top of your to-do list.
It gets even trickier when you're traveling with a group of friends or a family of three or four.
You definitely want to choose wisely, right?
Finding a hotel room in Japan that actually offers enough space for a group to comfortably hang out without breaking the bank can feel like looking for a needle in a haystack.
After hours of searching, I finally struck gold with
AND HOTEL HAKATA!
So today,
I'm sharing my honest, first-hand review of this fantastic new Fukuoka find,
AND HOTEL.
Quick heads-up: There is another property nearby called "EN HOTEL,"
so be very careful with the spelling
when you make your reservation!
Location: Right in the Heart of Hakata

AND HOTEL HAKATA isn't just great for your wallet;
its location is absolutely unbeatable.
It's a 10-minute walk to Hakata Station,
5 minutes to Gion Station, and a 20-minute stroll (roughly 1 mile) to Canal City Hakata.
The transit connections are fantastic.

Because it's such a central transit hub,
you can get pretty much anywhere with ease.
It offers quick access from the airport,
and hopping on the subway is a breeze.
Whether you want to shop at the Tenjin Underground Mall,
visit the famous yatai (street food stalls),
or go on an epic foodie tour, this is the perfect base camp.
A Budget-Friendly Haven in Hakata
AND HOTEL offers a wide variety of room layouts, including Standard Rooms, Family Rooms,
Premium Rooms, and Superior Twin Rooms.

Whether you're a solo backpacker
or traveling with a squad of four like us,
they have a setup that works perfectly.
As you might already know,
Japanese hotel rooms are notoriously compact.

However, the Superior Twin Room
comes equipped with two semi-double beds,
offering plenty of space for 3 to 4 people to sleep comfortably.

Family Room | 1 Double Bed + 2 Single Beds |
The Family Room is
slightly pricier than the Superior Twin Room,
so choose based on your group's
sleeping preferences and dynamics.

Since the four of us didn't mind sharing beds two-by-two,
we opted for the more economical
Superior Twin Room.

Room Size: 18m² (approx. 194 sq ft)
Max Capacity: 4 Guests

True to its "new hotel" status,
the interior was spotless, modern,
and incredibly cozy. I absolutely loved the vibe.

One unique feature that really surprised me:
while most traditional Japanese hotels still use physical keys,
this place uses a digital keypad door lock system!
Honestly, it was my first time seeing a digital lock at a hotel in Japan.

We actually had enough floor space to fully open our suitcases,
and it was perfectly comfortable
for four girls to share.

The room had great air conditioning,

along with complimentary bottled water, an electric kettle, and a mini-fridge.
The fridge kept all our drinks ice cold, too.

There's a small circular table right in front of the TV,
which became our designated spot for late-night snack parties every evening.
The only minor downside? It only comes with two chairs.

One of the absolute best perks of this Fukuoka accommodation
was the spacious bathroom and shower area.
If you've ever struggled in a tiny, airplane-style Japanese bathroom, you'll appreciate this.
Not only is it roomy, but it even features a deep soaking tub!
The layout is quite unique,
so check out the video below
for a better sense of the space and dimensions.

High-quality, multi-use dispensers for
shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the shower.
Unbeatable Value for Money
With hotel prices in Fukuoka steadily
creeping up lately,
AND HOTEL HAKATA offers exceptional bang for your buck.
Rates hover around ~$54 per night for 2 guests,
and roughly ~$77 per night for 4 guests.
Finding such a clean, spacious room
at this price point in Fukuoka
is an absolute steal. It's a no-brainer, right?
Of course, rates fluctuate depending on the season,
so be sure to check current pricing before you book.

Amenities and Guest Services
Beyond the comfortable rooms, AND HOTEL HAKATA
provides several thoughtful services
and convenient facilities.

There's a self-serve amenity bar in the first-floor lobby
where you can grab whatever you need.
They have everything from toothbrushes and toothpaste to assorted tea bags.
They even provide cozy pajamas,
so you can leave yours at home and save some luggage space!

They also offer a free umbrella rental service,
which was an absolute lifesaver on rainy days.

With a 7-Eleven and a FamilyMart
just a 3-minute walk away,
we decided to skip the hotel breakfast.
Instead, we grabbed delicious egg sandwiches
and onigiri (rice balls) for breakfast,
and stocked up on late-night snacks for our evening hangouts.
Seriously, Japanese convenience store food is on another level...

There's also an outdoor terrace on the first floor
that guests are free to use and relax in~
Exceptional Staff and Service
The check-in process was a breeze,
and the staff were incredibly welcoming
and helpful throughout our entire stay.

From location and pricing to facilities and hospitality,
AND HOTEL HAKATA checked all our boxes!
If you're mapping out a Fukuoka itinerary,
definitely put this spot on your radar~
Just one last reminder: be careful
not to confuse it with the similarly named EN HOTEL
when you book!
