When choosing accommodation in Phuket, many people look for hotels with great swimming pools, but just as important is whether you can walk from your accommodation to the beach. No matter how amazing the pool is, taking a shuttle just to get to the ocean can be inconvenient and less appealing!

I found a place with three beautiful, spacious pools, right on Bangtao Beach, with direct beach access.

It's relatively unknown to Korean travelers.

Perfect for families, and it was a fantastic fit for a sisters' trip like mine!

With its expansive grounds and diverse facilities,

it's brimming with charm that anyone would love.

So this time, instead of those overly famous spots where you might feel self-conscious around other Korean travelers,

how about this place?

Right here it is!

I stumbled upon it on Instagram and immediately thought it looked great.

I booked it just the day before my stay,

and even though it was the low season, the room type I chose was the very last one available.

(I tend to find accommodations locally without booking too far in advance...)

Let's kick off with a detailed look at the room, pool, breakfast,

and nearby amenities, all based on my personal experience!

First, if you watch the video, you'll probably want to book it right away!

I booked a Deluxe Pool View Twin Room,

and my room was on the second floor.

The best part? This area is so quiet,

all you hear are the happy sounds of people enjoying the pool!

The room featured two beds, a TV, and a sofa.

It was wonderfully spacious, comfortable, and spotless, earning it an A+ from the first impression!

The balcony was perfect for admiring the views and drying laundry,

and the air conditioning worked perfectly – a real bonus!

The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub,

and they even provided bubble bath,

which was perfect for unwinding after a fun day at the pool and beach.

They even provided bottled water for brushing your teeth,

and so many amenities that I brought them all back to Korea with me! Haha.

As soon as I entered the room and opened the curtains, I gasped in delight!

Seeing families happily swimming

felt like a scene straight out of a movie, and I loved it.

How lucky are the kids whose families come on trips like this every year!

But here's a secret: this isn't the only pool!

There are a total of three outdoor swimming pools,

one of which also doubles as a beach club.

Most rooms are designed to have easy access to a pool,

and the pools feature varying depths, making them suitable for everyone from kids to adults.

And of course, there's a kids' pool too!

The resort's white buildings and the bougainvillea blooming everywhere truly added to the joyful atmosphere. Another pool near the breakfast restaurant offered stunning beach views, and even the entrance to the outdoor showers was incredibly beautiful.

While my second-floor room offered lovely pool views,

for anyone who absolutely loves the water, imagine just opening your door and jumping straight into the pool from a

first-floor pool access room! Wouldn't that be incredible?

In fact, the first-floor rooms are so incredibly popular that there wasn't a single empty one!

Bangtao Beach Hotel

I love Khao Lak, and

Bangtao Beach had a similar vibe, which made me like it even more.

It's quiet, peaceful, and wonderfully cool!

It's no coincidence that luxury resorts like Banyan Tree and Angsana Laguna

are located here.

It offers experiences you can't get in a swimming pool, and

since it's right on the beach,

that's a huge charm in itself!

So, if you're planning a Phuket family trip with young children,

I highly recommend this area.

My sister and I went together, but

couples, families, and solo travelers alike

everyone seemed perfectly at home in this scenery.

Just gazing at it, happiness truly washed over me.

The reason I want to recommend this place is because,

whether it was due to the sea breeze or the surrounding trees,

sitting in the shade of the sunbeds, I didn't feel hot all day.

After checking out, I bought some fruit and snacks and relaxed on the beach, and

it truly felt like a slice of heaven.

The staff maintaining the beach were also incredibly tidy and responded so thoughtfully. I wanted to give them an award!

If you're planning a trip to Phuket for relaxation,

even if it's not the specific hotel I'm introducing,

this area has everything – a beach, swimming pools, and convenient facilities,

so feel free to search for a place that fits your budget right away.

It's a popular area among Westerners, so many accommodations get booked up quickly.

November to March is peak season, so basic rates are higher.

Amora Resort Breakfast, Recommended Inclusive Rates

It goes without saying,

breakfast at a resort is always a hotel breakfast, right?

You'd want it to be delicious and offer a variety of options, and

this place was exactly like that.

My sister and I love to eat until we're stuffed at breakfast, and

amazingly, there wasn't a single item that wasn't delicious...

It was the best breakfast we had on this trip, taste-wise!

Seriously, I genuinely recommend booking with breakfast included here,

so don't add it on arrival and spend more money,

just book it with breakfast included from the start.

And if a full-board option happens to be available, I recommend that too!

(We also had dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious as well!)

For reference, I booked a pool view room with breakfast included

for ~$149 per night in early October.

From now on is peak season, so it might be slightly more expensive than the price I paid, and it's unlikely to be cheaper than this price until next March.

Since there are many Western guests, Agoda seems to have the best prices.

Sometimes resorts are fantastic, but

Even though it might feel like you're far from everything,

you'll find a taxi stand right next door,

Tops Daily is conveniently located right out front,

and a 7-Eleven is just a ~2-minute walk away.

This means you're perfectly set for snacks and daily essentials – no hassle at all!

You'll also find several local restaurants nearby (delicious, but be prepared for the prices… haha)

There are spots selling chicken and kebabs,

and in the evenings, a fantastic roti stand opens up.

Seriously, it's so delicious, you absolutely *must* try it!

If you're craving a larger shopping mall or a buzzing food court,

Porto de Phuket is just over a 10-minute journey away. The hotel even offers a shuttle, or you can grab a Bolt for just the base fare!

And here's a pro tip: there's a huge fruit wholesale market in the open space right next to Porto de Phuket – perfect for grabbing some fresh, delicious fruits!

Whether you're dreaming of an entire stay within the resort,

or prefer to venture out for some shopping and dining,

this location caters effortlessly to all!

How to Get to Bang Tao Beach from Phuket Airport

I traveled from Amora Beach to the airport,

departing at 8 PM,

and the journey took about 40 minutes, so it's quite convenient from Phuket Airport!

Given my late arrival and departure times,

and quite a bit of luggage,

I made sure to book both pickup and drop-off services.

While transport in Phuket can be pricey and often involves haggling (which can be exhausting!),

with a pre-booked service, you avoid all that hassle and can trust your car and driver.

I definitely recommend it for longer journeys.

Your Last Stop in Phuket: Accommodation with Shower Facilities Available!

After booking this as my final accommodation for the trip,

I debated whether to book a 'half-night' hotel for my departure day

or simply extend my stay here.

Ultimately, I chose late checkout, soaked up some more hotel fun, and then headed to the airport.

(Money saved, win-win!)

If you're flying direct to Phuket with Asiana or Korean Air,

you'll know that evening flights can make your last day's schedule feel a bit tricky.

Up until now, I'd always booked a separate 'half-night' hotel,

and this time I even thought about exploring Old Town.

But honestly, the hotel's beach was just too cool and inviting,

and I knew time would simply vanish having fun at Porto de Phuket.

Late checkout is offered until 1 PM,

and you can book a shower room for 1 hour with an advance reservation.

Making such fantastic use of the hotel right up until the very last day,

it felt like enjoying two nights for the price of one – what a feeling!

I think this will be my go-to strategy for future departure days!

If your trip is all about relaxation and rejuvenation,

a fantastic pool is a must, and direct beach access is non-negotiable!

And if convenient facilities are nearby, well, that's just the icing on the cake!

This gem doesn't even have Naver reviews yet,

and honestly, the lack of Korean visitors gave me a wonderful sense of freedom from everyday gazes.

Now, for those wondering about the presence of Russian tourists here,

it was mostly families with young children, not just couples, which I found even better and more peaceful.
