AMC Granada Hotel Review 2026: Perfect for Couples & Value

If you're currently weighing your options for accommodation in Granada, I highly recommend you take a close look at the AMC Granada Hotel.

I recently stayed here with friends, and I can confidently say it's a fantastic value, even for honeymooners, thanks to its unbeatable location and affordability.

1. Choosing Your Granada Accommodation Location

When selecting your accommodation in Granada, I highly recommend basing your decision on proximity to the city's main attractions.

📌 Alhambra Palace
Granada's iconic centerpiece; ideally, you want to be within a 10-minute walk (approx 0.5 miles).

📌 Granada Cathedral
The heart of downtown sightseeing; a 15-minute walk (approx 0.75 miles) or less is super convenient.

📌 Alcaicería Market
A must-visit for souvenir shopping; being within a 15-minute walk (approx 0.75 miles) is perfect.

📌 Mirador de San Nicolás
Famous for its stunning Alhambra night views; easy access to the Albaicín district is key.

The absolute best spot for Granada accommodation, in my opinion, is right in front of Plaza Nueva.

For my trip, I chose the AMC Granada Hotel because it's nestled perfectly between these four key attractions, right on Plaza Nueva.

Being right on Plaza Nueva meant easy access to buses, and I could walk to the Alhambra Palace in under 10 minutes, the Granada Cathedral in less than 15 minutes, and the Alcaicería Market also in under 15 minutes.

With all the major sights concentrated within walking distance, choosing this hotel was a no-brainer, and I enthusiastically recommend it to you!

2. AMC Granada Details

The AMC Granada Hotel, specifically the Double Room (with balcony), typically measures around 215 square feet and features two twin beds.

Having undergone a recent renovation, the entire hotel boasts a clean, bright white aesthetic.

For a 2-night stay from November 9-11, 2026, for a Double Room (with balcony) and including a free cancellation option, I compared prices across several major booking platforms:

As you can see, there's quite a price difference between platforms for the same conditions, so it's always worth comparing before you book.

3. Double Room Experience

The mattress, bedding, and pillows were all impeccably clean and well-maintained. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and even provided us with a Korean-language tourist guide and a list of local restaurants.

There were also plenty of fantastic tapas restaurants nearby.

The only minor downside was the street noise. While having a window and balcony was lovely, I was unfortunately woken up around 8 AM by the sound of the street cleaning vehicle.
