Our room was recently remodeled and absolutely pristine – a huge win!

For me, when I travel, accommodation location and room cleanliness are non-negotiables. Even for a single night, I seek out places with stellar room conditions.

And Hotel Porcel Navas delivered, just as the reviews promised – the room and bathroom were sparkling clean! ✨

The location couldn't be better. Right on Navas Street, famed for its tapas bars, it was perfect for evening strolls and dinner.

Plus, after hopping off the airport bus, it was only about a 10-minute walk with our luggage to the hotel.

Our Double Room and Amenities

We had booked a double room with one bed, but to our surprise, we received a spacious room with three single beds! It felt like a complimentary upgrade.

The bathroom was spotless and featured a convenient shower stall, ample towels, and toilet paper. A hairdryer was also provided.

This budget-friendly hotel truly thought of everything, offering a wardrobe, electric kettle, safe, mini-fridge, and even adorable welcome cookies!

Why Hotel Porcel Navas is the Best Location in Granada

Hotel Porcel Navas boasts an incredible location just a 5-minute walk from Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, making it ideal for exploring the city's main attractions on foot.

As soon as we checked in, we grabbed lunch at a highly-rated spot nearby.

Our itinerary included browsing souvenir shops and admiring the Cathedral before heading to the Alhambra Palace.

After our visit to the Alhambra, we returned to the hotel's vicinity to find a top-rated tapas restaurant on Navas Street.

We quickly discovered that Granada offers some of the best tapas prices and an amazing atmosphere compared to other Spanish cities! 🍻

The convenience of dining just steps from our hotel was perfect for our short trip!

Getting Around Granada: Airport Bus & Alhambra Transport

Getting around was a breeze! From the airport, we took the ALSA bus number 245 and got off at the Gran Vía de Colón Cathedral stop.

It was a straightforward 10-minute walk with our luggage to the hotel – super convenient after a flight!

To reach the Alhambra, we simply walked to a nearby stop and caught one of the red ALSA minibuses.

If you're planning your trip, look for the C30 or C32 buses for direct service to the Alhambra.

Note on Renovations During Our Stay

During our stay, we noticed renovation notices in the elevator and a section of the hallway blocked off with plastic sheeting, indicating ongoing maintenance.

Since we were mostly just sleeping at the hotel, it didn't significantly impact our experience, but it's worth noting for future guests!

One Night in Granada Wasn't Enough – We'll Be Back for Two!

After enjoying an evening of delightful tapas, our short time in Granada flew by!

We were a little bummed we didn't get to explore the Albaicín district or visit Mirador de San Nicolás for those iconic sunset views. 😔

If we return to Granada – which my partner and I definitely plan to! – we'd love to stay for at least two nights. That would give us ample time to see what we missed and savor the tapas experience even more leisurely.
