Granada to Seville Alsa Bus 2026: Booking & Price Guide

When moving from Granada to Seville,

deciding on the mode of transport can be a bit tricky.

With options like trains, buses, and even private car tours,

it can feel a bit overwhelming.

I, however, finished my Alhambra tour in the morning

and grabbed some lunch before my journey.

I traveled from Granada to Seville

by Alsa bus.

The bus I took departed at 3:30 PM and arrived at 6:30 PM,

taking approximately 3 hours.

The regular fare was 30.23 Euros, but

I booked in advance and got it for just 17.5 Euros!

The bus was as comfortable as an express coach,

complete with Wi-Fi, USB charging ports,

and even a restroom,

making the journey much more comfortable than I expected.

However, I did hear of a fellow Korean traveler

who had their suitcase stolen from the bus's luggage compartment,

so I was quite vigilant with my belongings.

I'll cover everything from how to book an Alsa bus ticket,

why I chose the Superflexible option,

and my actual boarding experience.

1. Alsa Bus from Granada to Seville: Price and Schedule

Alsa is a long-distance bus company connecting

various cities across Spain.

I used it to travel from Granada to Seville's

Plaza de Armas.

The bus I booked had:

✔ Regular Price: 30.23 Euros

✔ Actual Cost: 17.5 Euros

The timing was perfect for me, allowing me to do my Alhambra tour in the morning

and have lunch before heading off.

But what I loved most was the price!

The regular fare for the bus I took was

30.23 Euros,

but by booking in advance,

I bought it for 17.5 Euros.

It was almost half price,

'I'm so glad I booked in advance...'

I thought to myself. 😂

From what I saw, as the departure date got closer,

the discounts decreased, and the price moved closer to the full fare.

If you've already decided on your travel date and time

from Granada to Seville,

I highly recommend checking Alsa bus prices

in advance.

2. How to Book an Alsa Bus Ticket & Why I Chose Superflexible

I booked directly on the official Alsa website.

Although it's in English,

the booking process itself wasn't difficult.

& select your date and number of passengers.

2. Choose your desired departure time

& select your ticket class and seat.

3. Enter passenger information and proceed to payment.

Alsa bus tickets vary in terms of

change/cancellation conditions and

baggage allowance depending on the ticket class.

I purchased the Superflexible ticket.

When I made my reservation,

the price difference between the other tiers

was only about 1 to 2 Euros,

and because of the seat selection and 30kg luggage allowance,

I figured the Superflexible option would be best anyway.

Its change and cancellation policies were also

the most flexible among the three tiers.

Especially since my itinerary involved moving between cities

with a suitcase,

luggage weight was a pretty important factor

for me.

Once payment is complete,

you'll receive a PDF ticket with a QR code via email.

There's no need to print it separately;

you can just show the PDF on your phone.

This was also more convenient than I expected.

3. My Actual Experience Riding the ALSA Bus from Granada to Seville

I did the Alhambra tour in the morning

and had lunch,

then took the 3:30 PM ALSA bus

to Seville.

The estimated arrival time was 6:30 PM.

It took about 3 hours,

pretty much as scheduled.

Stepping onto the bus, it immediately felt like,

'Yep, this is a Spanish express bus!'

😂

It felt similar to the express buses

I've taken in Korea,

and the seats were comfortable,

so I even managed to get some good sleep during the journey.

Three hours is quite a long ride,

so I was a bit worried at first,

but once I was on board, it was much more

comfortable than I expected.

And the bus's interior facilities

were better than I thought too!

There was Wi-Fi and

even USB ports, so

I could charge my phone.

You could also eat simple snacks

on the bus.

And surprisingly...

there's even a restroom!😂

I didn't personally use it,

but just knowing there was one available

during a three-hour journey gave me peace of mind.

📌 My Biggest Concern: My Suitcase

While the ALSA bus itself was comfortable,

my biggest concern was

my suitcase in the bus's luggage compartment.

I met a Korean traveler in Granada who had their suitcase

stolen from a bus's luggage bay.

They said that sometimes people pretend to take their own bags

but then grab someone else's suitcase instead.

Since someone I knew actually experienced this,

my worries weren't unfounded.

So, after putting my suitcase in the luggage compartment,

I didn't get on the bus right away.

I stayed outside, keeping an eye on my suitcase

until just before the bus departed,

and then boarded with the driver

when he got on.

While the ALSA bus itself was comfortable and the ride was smooth,

if you're putting your suitcase in the luggage compartment,

I recommend checking on your bag until just before departure.

4. ALSA Bus VS. Transfer Tour

Since it was a trip with three guys,

we weren't super interested in the sea 😀,

and we wanted to see the Alhambra in the morning

and then head straight to Seville, so I chose the ALSA bus.

For 14 Euros and about 3 hours,

I could travel comfortably and even sleep,

so the ALSA bus was a perfect fit for me.

However, if you're traveling with your parents,

or if you want to visit Frigiliana, Nerja, and Ronda

on your travel day from Granada to Seville,

a transfer tour might also

be worth comparing.

From Frigiliana and Nerja,

seeing the Mediterranean scenery,

and then visiting Ronda

before heading to Seville – that's the itinerary.

If your goal is simply to travel

to Seville, like mine was,

the ALSA bus is straightforward.

But if you want to use the travel day itself

as a full day of sightseeing,

there's another option, I discovered!

Although I didn't use it myself,

if you're concerned about managing your luggage in the bus hold,

or if you want to see Frigiliana, Nerja, and Ronda

all in one go,

then compare it with the ALSA bus

and make your decision.

The private transfer tour I looked into

departs with a minimum of 2 people,

and there were additional on-site charges:

€40 (approximately ~$47) per person for 2 people,

and €20 (approximately ~$23) per person for 3 people.

For 4 or more people, there's no additional charge.

If you add luggage,

a carry-on costs €5 (approximately ~$6),

and checked luggage costs €10 (approximately ~$12).

So, make sure to confirm before booking.

I saw the Alhambra in the morning

and then had lunch,

after which I took the 3:45 PM ALSA bus

and arrived in Seville around 6:45 PM.

I had bought the ticket, originally €30.23,

for just €14 by booking in advance.

The seats were comfortable,

and with Wi-Fi, USB charging ports,

and even a restroom on board,

the 3-hour journey was

more comfortable than I expected.

Especially since I

slept well during the ride,

if your plan is to travel directly

from Granada to Seville,

using the ALSA bus was a great option.

However, if you've placed your

luggage in the bus's hold,

be sure to double-check that your bag

is there before departure...

The day before I left, a fellow Korean traveler

actually had their suitcase stolen,

so I really made sure to

keep a close eye on mine! 😂
