Accor by Hyatt Shanghai Bund Review 2026: Prime Location & Value
Planning your last night in Shanghai? The Accor by Hyatt Shanghai Bund offers an incredible location just steps from The Bund, plus modern comfort and amazing value.

As my Shanghai adventure neared its end, with an early flight looming, I was on the hunt for a hotel that could offer both comfort and savings.
My plan was to soak up the vibrant Bund atmosphere late into the evening before heading back, so my search really boiled down to two crucial factors: location and price
Firstly, it's easily walkable to The Bund, and honestly, the **location is almost *too* good to be true!**
What's more, it's a brand-new hotel, built in 2025, so the facilities were absolutely spotless.
If you're currently weighing your options for a stay near The Bund, definitely put this one at the top of your list!
Location

The absolute number one reason I zeroed in on this hotel? Its **location**! It genuinely exceeded all my expectations.
Right outside the hotel, you'll find a bus stop, and just a short walk across the road, the river beckons.

Getting to The Bund's iconic night view spots simply involved a pleasant stroll – no need to hail a taxi, which made things incredibly convenient.
✔️ **The Bund Square, Nanjing Road East** (approx. 15-minute walk)
✔️ **The Bund** (approx. 4-minute walk)
If your travel plans involve frequent trips between The Bund and Nanjing Road East, this strategic location alone offers a significant advantage.
The price range is roughly ~$73-~$146, which, considering its unbeatable location, feels incredibly reasonable.

Check-in 15:00
Check-out 12:00

I arrived at the hotel around noon, but my room wasn't quite ready, so I checked in a little after 2 PM. Thankfully, you can always store your luggage safely at the lobby!

While the lobby itself is quite compact, venture just to the side, and you'll discover a spacious café and lounge area, perfect for a relaxing wait.
For this stay, I opted for the Deluxe Double Room and was assigned a comfortable spot on the 5th floor.

To reach the guest rooms, you'll need to transfer elevators on the 2nd floor. From the outside, you wouldn't guess it, but the interior is surprisingly expansive, and I admit, I did a bit of wandering when I first tried to find my room... haha.
Luckily, there are multiple elevator access points, so once you figure out which one is closest to your room, navigating the hotel becomes a breeze!

The room size was perfectly adequate. It's just right for two people – not overly spacious, but certainly not cramped. You'll find enough room to comfortably open up a suitcase.
The bed was wonderfully spacious with just the right amount of cushioning. Plus, having a sofa and a table made it super convenient for ordering in and enjoying a relaxed meal.
The view, however, was a slight drawback. While I hadn't prioritized a view, the room I was assigned unfortunately looked out onto a wall.
If your main objective is to keep accommodation costs as low as possible, the standard room is perfectly fine. But, if you dream of waking up to a stunning vista from your room, opting for a **river view** is definitely the way to go.

And for charging, as you'd expect from any modern hotel these days,
Being able to plug in USB-C directly into every outlet made charging super convenient.
The room control monitor was also great.
You could operate the lights, air conditioning, and curtains all at once
from the monitor next to the bed. Very modern

The wardrobe had plenty of hangers,
and there was enough space at the bottom for about one suitcase.
The bathrobes were hung up freshly laundered,
which made me wonder if that's how they're usually kept, haha, it was a bit funny.

In the bathroom, the sink, shower booth, and toilet
were all separate.
The sink was right next to the door,
and I especially loved the large, illuminated mirror.
The toilet was a smart toilet!
A hairdryer was also provided.
However, since disposable amenities were scarce,
I recommend bringing your usual toiletries.

Compared to other hotels in a similar price range,
the biggest plus was the minibar.
Capsule coffee, tea, and all the refrigerated drinks and snacks were complimentary.
There were Coke, Sprite, pretzels, and chocolate rice crackers,
and the chocolate rice crackers were surprisingly delicious, so I ate them all... haha!
It wasn't an incredibly luxurious room, but
true to a new hotel, the facilities were spotless.
