For those who've journeyed to Tokyo with a budget airline,

your final stop on the trip is likely Narita Airport.

Especially if you're using Terminal 2 or Terminal 3,

these terminals are known for having fewer dining options.

Today, I'll be introducing a great spot for travelers like you:

a delicious restaurant at Narita Airport Terminal 2,

Yoshinoya, along with its price information and my review!

📍 Yoshinoya Terminal 2 Branch is a restaurant located on the 2nd floor of Terminal 2, before you go through departure procedures.

It's a value-for-money chain specializing in donburi (rice bowl dishes) like gyudon,

allowing you to enjoy an affordable final meal before your departure.

Although I departed from Narita Airport Terminal 3,

to get to Terminal 3, you actually need to alight at Terminal 2

and walk to Terminal 3.

Since Terminal 2 seemed to have more dining options than Terminal 3,

I decided to have my meal here before heading over to Terminal 3.

A Look Inside Yoshinoya at Terminal 2

First, let's take a look at the interior of Yoshinoya at Terminal 2.

The interior has a long, narrow layout,

and there were quite a lot of customers inside.

Overall, the interior was simple and modern,

and the space was well-maintained and clean.

To accommodate solo diners comfortably,

there were about 10 counter seats available.

When solo guests were guided to their seats by staff,

they were usually directed to the counter seats.

Since I had a lot of luggage, I opted for a two-person table.

Generally, I noticed that locals took the counter seats,

while foreign visitors preferred the table seats.

Each table was equipped with water, chopsticks, shichimi (seven-spice blend), and pickled ginger,

and for a value-for-money chain, having these condiments and side dishes available

made it feel even more affordable and generous.

Yoshinoya Terminal 2: The Menu

Next, I'll explain the menu and how to order.

You can place your order using the tablet

located in front or next to each seat.

You can switch the language to English (or Korean) in the settings,

so you won't have any trouble ordering.

I visited around 8:30 AM, quite early in the morning,

and the set meals perfect for breakfast were around 500 JPY,

while gyudon was incredibly affordable at around 600-800 JPY.

This is a fantastic spot to eat your fill, as much as your heart desires!

I ordered the Nikudaku Gyudon (regular size) for (~$5) and a soft-boiled egg (~$1).

Plus, I went for the Tsuyudaku option for my Gyudon, which basically means extra sauce!

Just a heads-up: since this is an airport branch, menu prices are about 10-20% higher than what you'd find in the city.

My Order: A Taste Test of the Gyudon!

After about a 5-minute wait, my Gyudon arrived, looking just as appetizing as in the photo!

The soft-boiled egg arrived still in its shell, and that vibrant yellow yolk looked incredibly rich and inviting!

While peeling the egg was a slight bother, it was reassuring to know it was a truly fresh egg, and that made it all the more enjoyable.

Next up, it was time to check out the star of the show: my Gyudon!

However, one thing initially puzzled me: I had ordered 'extra meat,' but the portion looked surprisingly small.

I even started to wonder, 'Do airport branches just give smaller servings?'

It turned out a staff member had simply forgotten to add the extra meat by mistake!

As you can see in the photo, they kindly brought the extra meat to me in a separate bowl.

Once the extra meat was added, it looked much more substantial, and thanks to my choice of extra sauce, every single grain of rice was perfectly drenched in that delicious savory goodness!

The meat was wonderfully tender, the rice perfectly fluffy, and with that sweet and savory sauce, it was absolutely divine!

Just as the sweet and savory notes began to reach their peak, adding the soft-boiled egg introduced a delightful, rich, and clean flavor that balanced everything out perfectly.

It kept me going, never getting tired of it, right until the very last bite!

Overall Verdict: The Perfect Pre-Departure Meal!

Airports often come with a dilemma: overpriced food or questionable quality.

It was such a relief to find Yoshinoya, offering both genuinely affordable prices and consistently delicious food.

While the price is indeed about 20% higher than in the city, the great news is that the taste and quality are exactly what you'd expect from a city branch. So, I walked away completely satisfied with my meal!

If you're flying out of Narita Airport Terminals 2 or 3 and need to grab a final meal before your flight, I absolutely recommend Yoshinoya in Terminal 2.

Especially in the mornings, they even have fantastic value breakfast sets, making for an even more satisfying and wallet-friendly start to your day!
