When planning a trip to Yantai, China, the first thing on my mind was finding the best flight deals!
It's always a bit of a puzzle figuring out what's considered a 'good price' for airfare.
With fluctuating fuel surcharges, flight prices can vary wildly, making a pre-booking comparison absolutely essential.
For my recent Yantai adventure, I opted for a direct Jin Air flight from Incheon, South Korea, which took about an hour. The round-trip ticket cost me approximately ~$141.
Today, I'm going to break down the average flight prices to Yantai, share my tips for booking affordably, and give you a full review of my Jin Air experience!
Average Yantai Flight Prices
For a round-trip flight from Incheon to Yantai, you can expect prices to be in the range of approximately ~$140 to ~$155. This is generally considered a reasonable price point!
Keep in mind that prices can fluctuate based on your travel dates, when you book, and whether checked baggage is included, so these figures aren't set in stone.

The flight I booked for two people cost ~$283 for a round trip, which works out to about ~$141 per person.
Since the flight from Incheon to Yantai is only about an hour, it's a perfect destination for a quick getaway, especially for busy professionals who can't take extended vacations.

As of November 2026, a Friday to Sunday 2-night, 3-day trip was priced around ~$140.
If you're flexible and look for a Thursday to Saturday itinerary, you might find prices closer to ~$126. While shifting your travel date by a day could offer a slight discount,
the price difference wasn't huge. So, instead of obsessing over the absolute cheapest date, it's often better to choose what aligns best with your vacation schedule.

My Jin Air Yantai Flight Review
The flights I took were LJ865 from Incheon to Yantai, departing Incheon at 2:45 PM and arriving in Yantai at 3:15 PM. The return flight, LJ866, departed Yantai at 4:30 PM and arrived in Incheon at 6:50 PM.
The total flight time was a comfortable 1 hour and 30 minutes, which made for a very manageable journey.

While there were slightly cheaper flight options available when I booked, Jin Air ultimately proved to be the best choice for me, considering my preferred departure/arrival times and the inclusion of checked baggage.
I initially focused solely on price when comparing flights, but I quickly realized that the cheapest option isn't always the best once you factor in baggage allowances and travel convenience.

Jin Air operates out of Incheon Airport Terminal 2, utilizing the E-F counters.

My boarding gate was 233, which was quite a walk, located at the far end of the airport. After grabbing a meal and coffee, I found myself rushing to the gate, so I highly recommend checking your gate's location and allowing plenty of time to get there!

The B737 aircraft I flew on featured a 3-3 seating arrangement. I was a bit worried the seats might feel cramped on a smaller plane,

but being 5 feet 6 inches tall, I still had about a fist's worth of space between my knees and the seat in front, which was perfectly comfortable.

I was also able to charge my phone onboard. Just be sure to check that you have a USB charging cable with you!

There was even an option to purchase and use in-flight Wi-Fi.
When planning your trip, remember to consider not just the price, but also factors like baggage allowance, flight times, and how easily you can manage your booking information.
The Trip.com app was incredibly convenient for receiving flight change notifications and managing all my booking details in one place.
