I saw on Indiana Jooyoung's YouTube channel,
when she traveled to Las Vegas,
that she and her family went to a buffet in Las Vegas.
Seeing them enjoy it together,
I absolutely knew I had to go too!
And it was none other than The Buffet at Wynn,
located inside Wynn Las Vegas.
I'd heard a lot about how famous Las Vegas hotel buffets are,
but this was my first time experiencing a dinner hotel buffet.
To get straight to the point,
perhaps because my expectations weren't sky-high,
I was actually quite satisfied, more than I expected!
When you're looking for great places to eat in Las Vegas,
while steakhouses, burger joints, and seafood restaurants are popular choices,
I definitely think a hotel buffet is also a worthwhile experience!
While it's not the kind of place you'd wait for hours without a reservation,
if your travel itinerary is set, making a reservation in advance makes it a fantastic Las Vegas buffet experience.
The Wynn Hotel Buffet is
a premier buffet restaurant nestled within Wynn Las Vegas.
Among the many incredible hotels in Las Vegas,
the Wynn Hotel truly stands out with its luxurious and pristine image,
making its buffet a place I'd always yearned to experience.
Operating hours are generally divided into Brunch and Dinner.
Brunch: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Dinner: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
For my visit, I opted for the delightful Seafood Dinner.
Prices, based on the official website, are: Brunch: $59.99 per person, Dinner: $79.99 per person. (Tax and tip are additional.) |
For the Wynn Hotel Buffet,
you can make 'priority seating' reservations up to 30 days in advance, as per their official guidelines.
It's essentially a system where you pre-pay and secure your place in line.
Since I was visiting on a weekend and my travel itinerary was already set,
I made my reservation immediately as soon as the booking window opened a month in advance.
Booking a month in advance meant I had no trouble at all securing my spot.

You need to pre-pay when making your reservation.
I settled the payment in advance,
and then at the venue, I simply left a cash tip after our meal.
My reservation was for 5:45 PM,
and I made sure to arrive a little ahead of schedule.
From my experience, I definitely recommend getting there and joining the queue about 20 minutes before your reservation time.
When I was there, after 6 PM,
both the reservation line and the walk-in line started getting noticeably longer.
It's important to understand that having a reservation doesn't mean you'll be seated exactly at your scheduled time.
Instead, you join the priority line for reserved guests and are seated in order of arrival within that line.
If you're planning a weekend Seafood Dinner like me,
I highly recommend making a reservation for the 5 PM hour,
and then arriving about 20 minutes before your scheduled time!
The Wynn Hotel Buffet's Seafood Dinner
costs $79.99 per person, before tax.
That's definitely not a budget-friendly price point.
However, you know how many hotel buffets in Korea these days
easily soar past ~$69 per adult, right?
Korean hotel buffets often feel more refined, with a meticulous attention to the completeness of each menu item,
the plating, service details, and the freshness of their seafood.
In contrast, the buffet at Wynn Hotel
offered that unique Las Vegas hotel vibe,
a diverse menu, and a sense of enjoying a special experience
that felt more valuable as part of a trip.
So, rather than a place where you'd expect
the delicate quality of buffets like La Seine or Shilla Hotel,
it's probably best to think of it as a place to simply experience
a famous hotel buffet during your Las Vegas trip!
At a buffet, it's always a good idea to try a little of several dishes
rather than loading up on just one menu item from the start, right?
I also tried a little of this and that at first,
and then went back for more of the dishes
that suited my taste.
Since it was a seafood dinner,
the seafood was definitely worth trying at least once.
My friend, who went with me, ate about
3 plates of just crab, LOL!
I also tried various dishes in small portions,
picking out what I liked, and surprisingly,
the salad section was quite good! ;;;
When I go to a buffet, I usually look forward to seafood
or meat dishes first, but eating salad in between
really cleansed my palate and made the meal feel less heavy.
However, rather than every single dish being incredibly impressive,
it seemed that finding the dishes that suited my palate well
was the way to maximize satisfaction!
Of course, dessert is the perfect way to finish a buffet!
I ate a variety of dishes, and then finished off my meal
with dessert and coffee, a combination that was quite good.
Basic non-alcoholic beverages are included,
and there's a separate drink menu,
so if you want a specific drink,
you can order it from your server.
I ordered coffee and drank it, and it was better
than I expected.
The server came by periodically during the meal
to check on drinks, so if you needed anything,
you could just ask then.
For drinks like lattes or cappuccinos,
there's an extra charge,
so be sure to check the menu before ordering.
Tipping is always a dilemma when traveling in the US, isn't it?
My friend and I left a tip of
about ~$30 for the two of us.
However, since it's a buffet,
you're not continuously served course by course
like in a regular restaurant. So,
if two people visit, you can consider ~$10
as a baseline, and if the service was satisfactory,
you can add more if you feel inclined.
I had made a reservation and
paid in advance, so after the meal,
I left cash on the table.
Of course, there's no single correct answer for tipping.
You can give what you feel comfortable with,
depending on how often your drinks were refilled,
if plates were cleared promptly,
and if the overall service was satisfactory.
The Wynn Hotel Buffet's seafood dinner
was actually quite good, exceeding my expectations.
It was my first time having a hotel buffet for dinner
in Las Vegas, and also my first experience
with a Las Vegas hotel buffet overall, which made it even more memorable.
Just looking at the food quality alone,
If you compare it one-on-one with buffets like La Seine or Shilla Hotel in Korea,
there might be a few aspects that fall a little short,
but considering it's a hotel buffet
you're experiencing during your Las Vegas trip,
it was thoroughly satisfying.
I had several plates of crab,
and finishing with dessert and coffee,
it was a pretty good conclusion to the meal.
Before, I also visited
the Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan,
but Wicked Spoon is a brunch buffet,
so it had a different vibe from the Wynn Hotel's seafood dinner.
This time, I was more satisfied with the Wynn Hotel seafood dinner
than I expected,
so if I visit Las Vegas again,
I'd love to try the Wynn Hotel's brunch buffet too.
If you're going for dinner with high expectations for seafood,
brunch might have a completely different menu lineup,
which makes me curious.
If I had to wait a long time without a reservation, I might hesitate,
but if you can book in advance, I think it's a worthwhile
Las Vegas hotel buffet to experience at least once!

Personally,
I didn't feel it was worth waiting for several hours
without a reservation.
However, if your travel schedule is set,
and you can book in advance, it's definitely worth experiencing
at least once!
