The rain was on-and-off in Ubud, so I decided to head out for a walk. I never mind a little rain when I'm traveling; in fact, I quite enjoyed this gentle drizzle!
As I strolled through the streets of Ubud, I spotted Utama Spice. It was already on my must-buy Bali shopping list, so there was no way I was passing it by! Fair warning, the shop exterior isn't super flashy, so you'll need to keep your eyes peeled to find it.
Utama Spice is renowned for its commitment to natural cosmetics, a tradition they've upheld since 1989. Because of their all-natural approach, their lip balms are a popular must-have gift. And if you're a yogi, you'll find their essences and oils are perfect additions to your practice.
2. Utama Spice Product Range
Their famous lip balms are a steal! A single lip balm is around ~$1 (or 21,000 IDR), and a set of five goes for about ~$3. They're absolutely perfect for gifts!
They also offer home sprays, yoga mat sprays, and essential oils. Since many of my friends are into yoga, I grabbed a few yoga mat sprays. At about ~$6 each, these are another fantastic gift option.
Beyond that, you'll find body oils and more lip balms. Honestly, the scents are divine, and the quality feels far superior to many chemical-laden products out there. I found myself wanting to stock up on so many things!
Another popular item is their range of home fragrances and oils, which double as natural mosquito repellents – an absolute lifesaver for families with kids! It was also great to discover they offer facial lotions and serums.
As I was checking out, I even noticed they sell skincare products for acne and blemishes. Since everything is natural, you can truly trust the quality of these products.

I initially went in just for the yoga mat spray I'd been asked to pick up, but I ended up with a basket full of lip balms, serums, and body oils to gift to friends and family!
The products are perfectly sized, and it's easy to buy several without feeling overwhelmed when heading home. My shopping basket filled up so quickly! And the scents are just incredible. I honestly regret not buying more of the body oils in every fragrance. If you're in Bali right now, make sure to add Utama Spice to your must-visit shopping list!
