Kobe Sannomiya's Must-Try Sushi Spot: Great Value!

Uoshin, a famous chain restaurant known for its high-quality sushi at a great value!

Since there's one right in front of Sannomiya Station, my friends and I visited it during our Kobe trip!

After visiting ourselves, we understood why it's so famous – each piece of sushi is generously sized and incredibly fresh.

So, let me introduce you to Uoshin, Kobe's incredible sushi spot '-'

1. Kobe Uoshin

Located right in front of Kobe Sannomiya Station, it's incredibly easy to find.

Step through the brown door on the first floor, and you'll find a clean and inviting restaurant with soft lighting.

With both table seating and counter seats, it's a perfect spot for solo travelers in Kobe to enjoy a meal comfortably without feeling awkward.

2. Menu

Uoshin in Sannomiya is more of a local favorite among Kobe residents than a tourist spot, so typically only Japanese menus are available.

But don't worry! By scanning the QR code on each table, you can access an automatically translated menu, including a Korean option.

Plus, each menu item comes with a photo, so even if the translation isn't perfect, you can order without any major trouble.

3. Kobe's Amazing Sushi Spot

Although I visited with several companions, we opted for the counter seats because I wanted to receive our sushi fresh and immediately!

Thanks to that, I got to see the fresh tuna and the dazzling sea urchin (uni) in person, ready to be transformed into sushi 🥹

We ordered a variety of sushi, including egg, eel, tuna, salmon roe, salmon, and uni.

And we were quite surprised by how large each piece was!

Can you see the size of that tuna, nearly as big as an adult woman's fist?!

And the eel was even bigger than my fist, so I ended up splitting it into three pieces to eat! Haha.

The magic of 2 eel pieces transforming into 6! ⭐

And you definitely can't miss a refreshing beer to go with it!

It feels absolutely amazing to wash away all the accumulated fatigue from exploring Kobe with a cool, refreshing beer.

Brush on some soy sauce, add a touch of wasabi, and take a bite –

you'll instantly feel that satisfying thickness,

and the fresh, clean flavor is absolutely divine.

It practically melts in your mouth,

a flavor that just screams for another sip of beer!

And definitely don't miss this one: maki topped with three succulent pieces of raw shrimp!

You'll get that rich, bouncy texture from the raw shrimp,

with the fragrant, slightly bitter kick of shiso joining in at the end

for a truly clean finish.

And oh my, they piled on the uni so generously!

I'll never forget that rich flavor filling my mouth 🤍

Extra Large Buchikiri Sushi 3,500 yen

Even though the generous portions meant I was already quite full,

the sashimi was so incredibly fresh and delicious that

I just couldn't bear to stop there.

So, I went ahead and ordered an extra assorted set!

Good news! You can get a

so it's a fantastic option even if you're dining solo.

I got to try such a diverse array of sushi,

and every single piece was incredibly delicious and fresh!

It made me completely understand why it's known as a top restaurant in Sannomiya, Kobe.

With such a great variety of sushi and generously sized pieces,

it was even perfect for sharing!

Plus, the prices are totally reasonable,

so if you're searching for a sushi spot in Kobe that offers amazing value,

you might want to give this place a try!

It's super accessible, right in front of Sannomiya Station, so it's

highly recommended for anyone traveling in Kobe who wants to enjoy delicious sushi

without breaking the bank :)
