My Honest Review

The basic side dishes (banchan) include a special dakgalbi sauce (a soy-based dressing with cabbage), fresh greens for wraps (lettuce, perilla leaves), pickled onions, spicy green onion kimchi, and refreshing dongchimi (radish water kimchi).
These are all classic Korean accompaniments that perfectly complement the main dishes.

We ordered a variety of makguksu, but after our hike up Unaksan Mountain, the cold mul makguksu was definitely the most refreshing and delicious!
It was light, flavorful, and incredibly cooling – easily the most popular choice at our table.

Now, for the main event: the Dakgalbi!
They offer two flavors: soy sauce and gochujang (spicy red chili paste). We opted for the sweet and spicy gochujang version.

The gochujang-based marinade provided a clean, satisfying heat that made it absolutely delicious.
And remember that cheese fondue service if you call ahead? Pairing the dakgalbi with the melted cheese made it even more amazing!

Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the Unak Makguksu Charcoal Dakgalbi! Its proximity to Unaksan Mountain made it a perfect stop after visiting the streams, and the spacious parking made our visit completely stress-free.
