When searching for accommodation in Ubud, Bali, my biggest dilemma was clear:

After experiencing it firsthand, I can confidently say it was the perfect place to immerse ourselves in Ubud's characteristic tranquility and Balinese charm. The price point was significantly more approachable, making our stay incredibly satisfying.

1. Immersed in Balinese Charm: Our Ubud Sanctuary

Dwarka Royal Villas felt more like a boutique sanctuary, beautifully preserving traditional Balinese aesthetics, rather than a sleek, modern resort.

Stepping inside, we were immediately greeted by classical interiors and intricate carvings reminiscent of Balinese royalty. It truly evoked that 'this is the Ubud vibe' feeling.

With a limited number of rooms, the resort maintained a wonderfully quiet and private atmosphere.

Unlike some accommodations right in Ubud's bustling center, which can be noisy with crowds and traffic, Dwarka offered a peaceful escape, just slightly removed from the hustle and bustle.

2. Royal Suite Rice Paddy View: A 3-Person Family Trip Review

We stayed in the Royal Suite Rice Paddy View.

While not a full private villa, our Royal Suite was located right in front of the main pool, giving us a delightful 'private pool' feel – a definite plus!

Opening our balcony doors each morning revealed a stunning view of the pool against a backdrop of lush rice paddies – truly capturing Ubud's relaxed essence.

Personally, I felt this experience was more than enough, without needing to splurge on a dedicated private pool villa.

The resort also offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom private pool villas, and their Presidential Suite even boasts four bedrooms – perfect for larger families or groups of friends traveling together.

We stayed as a family of three with our elementary-aged child, and an extra bed was easily accommodated.

The room itself was quite spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of three, and the large balcony was a perfect spot to unwind.

The bathroom also left a great impression.

The shower and bathtub areas were thoughtfully separated, ensuring a clean and comfortable experience, and the basic amenities were well-stocked.

I particularly loved how the amenities were presented in elegant glass bottles, adding a beautiful touch to the decor. Just be a little careful not to break them!

3. Proximity to Ubud Center & Complimentary Shuttle

Dwarka Royal Villas is located about a 5-minute drive from the heart of Ubud.

Initially, I wondered if being slightly outside the center would be inconvenient, but it turned out to be the perfect distance.

The resort offers a complimentary shuttle service to Ubud town, making transportation a breeze and completely hassle-free.

Ubud center felt quite busy to me, so it was always a welcome change to return to the peaceful ambiance of the resort.

Relaxing amidst the lush gardens and rice paddy views was exactly the atmosphere I had hoped for in an Ubud accommodation.

And while the resort is a bit outside Ubud center, it's certainly not in an inconvenient location.

Nearby, you'll find convenience stores, cafes, and local eateries, perfect for quick necessities or a casual meal.

4. Complimentary Massage & Satisfying Breakfast

Upon check-in, guests receive a complimentary 15-minute foot massage, which was surprisingly good!

These thoughtful little extras really elevate the overall satisfaction of your stay.

Breakfast was also a highlight.

It wasn't a buffet; instead, you ordered from a menu, which offered a delightful variety of options, from Western classics to Indonesian specialties.

The food was delicious, and we loved that we could order multiple dishes without restriction.

It seemed many guests in the private pool villas opted for floating breakfast, which meant the main breakfast restaurant was relatively quiet, allowing for a wonderfully peaceful start to the day.

5. Dwarka Royal Villas: Pricing & Discounts

Dwarka Royal Villas in Ubud, Bali, truly feels like a luxurious boutique resort within the region. However, its prices are notably more affordable compared to larger global chain resorts.
