Our Whirlwind 4-Night, 6-Day Bali Itinerary
Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS) → Gili Islands → Ubud → AYANA Resort (Jimbaran)
Days 3-4: Ubud & Jimbaran
Ubud → Jimbaran
After an incredible, sun-soaked time in the Gili Islands, it was time to head to Ubud. We booked the Blue Water Express fast boat back to the main island. Since we had pre-arranged a private driver for a seamless transfer, we met him right at Padangbai harbor and headed straight to Ubud.
Even though it is a relatively long drive, having a private, air-conditioned car made it incredibly comfortable. Our driver was safe, professional, and took all the stress out of navigating Bali's traffic.
Honestly, one of the main reasons we chose to spend time in Ubud was this gorgeous Airbnb we fell in love with online. We planned our schedule to spend as much time as possible just soaking in the villa's serene vibes.

We arrived at Padangbai harbor around 2:00 PM. To make the most of our beautiful villa, we checked in quickly, dropped our bags, and took a taxi straight into downtown Ubud for a late lunch and some light shopping.
Our afternoon was all about good food and picking up a few local treats.

Pison Ubud
Jl. Hanoman No.10X, Ubud, Kecamatan Ubud, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80571 Indonesia
We had a late afternoon lunch at Pison Ubud, a highly recommended spot popular with travelers. Since we visited during the off-peak hours, we got a table immediately without any wait!

Our Top Menu Recommendations:
Truffle Steak (5/5) - This is an absolute must-order. The flavor profile is incredible!
Chicken Cordon Bleu (4/5) - A crowd-pleasing classic. Think of it as a perfectly executed, comforting chicken cutlet that won't disappoint.
Lastly, we tried the famous Avocado Espresso. While I personally love avocado, this combination was a miss for me. I barely drank any of it, so I'd say skip it unless you're incredibly curious!
Right next to Pison Ubud is Coco Supermarket. Since we didn't want to carry groceries around all day, we popped in right after lunch to stock up on snacks for the villa.

Our Ubud Grocery Haul & Snack Review:
I tried the Qtela Chips after seeing them recommended by a YouTuber, but they weren't really my style. The Yaba Granola was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the Granola Creations was a massive hit! It was absolutely delicious, and I seriously regret not buying more to bring home. The local Kopi Luwak (Luwak Coffee) was also rich and excellent.
After a relaxing night swim under the stars at our Airbnb, we decided to order dinner using Gojek. (Seriously, Gojek is an absolute lifesaver in Bali!)
Warung Makan Bu Rus

Since our villa was tucked away from the main strip, ordering delivery via Gojek was incredibly convenient and fast.
We ordered from Warung Makan Bu Rus, famous for its legendary Ubud pork ribs.
We ordered the Nasi Goreng and the BBQ Pork Ribs, and both were fantastic! The pork ribs are incredibly affordable (around ~$5 to ~$8), making it a must-try meal during your Bali trip.

And of course, nothing beats hot cup ramen after a swim! We brought some instant ramen and a portable travel kettle from home—the ultimate comfort food.
The next morning, we checked out of Ubud to head to Jimbaran, but not before starting our day with a morning session at the iconic Karsa Spa.

Booking Tips:
You can book directly on their official website. However, emailing them usually yields a faster response. Even if you try reaching out on WhatsApp, they often reply via email, so direct email is your best bet.
We booked our spot well in advance, but popular afternoon slots fill up incredibly fast. We ended up booking an early morning slot, which actually worked out great as it was much quieter and more relaxing.
(Most people try to schedule their massages at the end of the day, so if you want an evening slot, make sure to book weeks in advance!)

Since we went straight from checking out of our villa, we were happy to find that Karsa Spa has a secure office where you can store your luggage during your treatment.
We booked individual outdoor treatment rooms.
Honestly, the massive, lush outdoor rooms are the main reason people rave about Karsa Spa. If you don't book an outdoor room, you might miss out on what makes this place so special. I loved the outdoor setup so much that I would go back in a heartbeat!
The experience was pure bliss—a gentle tropical breeze, the soothing sound of trickling water, and the natural ambiance. Even though it was 9:00 AM, I drifted straight to sleep.
The massage pressure is very gentle and relaxing rather than a deep, intense sports massage. It's all about the serene atmosphere. Taking an outdoor shower surrounded by nature for the first time was also incredibly refreshing!
They have hair dryers in the restroom, so you can easily dry your hair and freshen up before heading out.
After feeling completely rejuvenated, we ordered a Grab taxi and made our way to AYANA Resort in Jimbaran. The traffic was a bit heavy, so be prepared for some delays!

Our time in downtown Ubud was short but sweet.

I took the BlueWater Express from Gili to Padangbai Port. After arriving at the port, I traveled comfortably to my accommodation in Ubud using a pre-booked private pick-up and drop-off service.
The Truffle Steak is a highly recommended must-try, and the Chicken Cordon Bleu is also quite delicious. On the other hand, the Avocado Espresso might not suit everyone's taste, so I do not recommend it.
I used the delivery app Gojek to have Nasi Goreng and Pork Ribs delivered to my accommodation. The Pork Ribs, in particular, are very cheap and delicious, so I highly recommend trying them at least once during your trip to Bali.
The fastest way to make a reservation for Karsa Spa is in advance through their official website or via email. Even if you visit right after checking out of your accommodation, you can store your luggage in their office, allowing you to enjoy your massage without worrying about your bags.
