Izuhara Tiara Mall Shopping Guide 2026: 100-Yen & Gachapon Fun
Discover Izuhara's largest shopping hub, Tiara Mall, in Tsushima! Find budget-friendly souvenirs at Tokutokuya 100-yen shop, try your luck with gachapon, and capture memories at purikura.

When you're exploring Izuhara, the largest and arguably only true "shopping mall" experience you'll find is Tiara Mall.
While it might not rival the sprawling malls of major cities, it's a fantastic spot for a casual evening outing. It houses a MaxValu supermarket and on its second floor, you'll discover a 100-yen shop, a game center, gachapon machines, and even purikura photo booths. It was the perfect place to wander around after dinner!
I've covered the MaxValu supermarket in a separate post. Here, I'll dive into my experience at the Tokutokuya 100-yen shop and the gachapon area on Tiara Mall's second floor.
Izuhara Shopping Center Tiara
Operating Hours: 9:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM
(1st floor MaxValu operates separately until 10:00 PM)
It's easy to get the closing times mixed up – the mall itself closes at 8:00 PM, but MaxValu stays open until 10:00 PM. I definitely thought they were the same at first until I visited!
Tokutokuya 100-Yen Shop

This 100-yen shop, Tokutokuya, is located on the second floor of Tiara Mall. Much like a "dollar store" or Daiso, it offers a wide array of everyday essentials and fun trinkets at incredibly low prices, making it a perfect spot for some casual browsing during your Tsushima trip.

You'll find everything from laundry supplies and pouches to coin purses, slippers, and dishes. The variety of household goods was surprisingly extensive!
Keep in mind that while many items are just ~$1 (100 yen), you'll also find some products priced around ~$3 (500 yen), so it's always a good idea to double-check the price tags.

During my visit, it was the season for strong sunlight, so there was a dedicated section for UV protection items. If you're traveling to Tsushima in the summer of 2026, it's a great spot to pick up sunscreen or cooling products.

They also had "freeze-and-eat" ice treats, similar to ones I'd tried from Kaldi. My main shopping goals were detergent and beer, so I intentionally skipped liquids, but now I wish I'd grabbed one!

Of course, a 100-yen shop wouldn't be complete without bath bombs, konjac jellies, and individually packaged snacks.

This Calbee BBQ snack is my absolute favorite – if you see it, definitely grab a bag (or ten)!
Game Center & Gachapon

Across from Tokutokuya, you'll find a small game center area. While there aren't many major arcade games, the claw machines (UFO catchers) are a bit of a disappointment – the claws are incredibly weak, barely able to pick up even the lightest prizes! I'd recommend saving your quarters on those.

The beloved Anpanman character seems to be quite popular in Tsushima, and you'll find a selection of Anpanman-themed products here.

There's also a charming corner dedicated to character socks! Featuring popular figures like Pikachu, Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and Hangyodon, these character socks make for fantastic souvenirs since they don't take up much space in your luggage.

I also spotted some adorable character face hair clips. Looking back at the photos now, I'm regretting not picking up that Crayon Shin-chan hair clip!

One section was lined with gachapon machines. While not massive, I was surprised by the excellent variety of character capsules available.

I couldn't resist trying my luck and pulled one, only to get the exact character I didn't want! Looks like I'll never get my Giyu figure. 😂
Purikura Photo Booths

Next to the arcade games, you'll also find a purikura machine! Since there isn't a ton to do in Izuhara in the evenings, we decided to try it out for some fun.

The results were... quite something! My boyfriend joked that it was a "plastic surgery machine," and I couldn't agree more. We had a good laugh looking at the exaggerated features!
While the second floor of Izuhara's Tiara Mall isn't a massive shopping complex, it's a fantastic spot for a light evening stroll during your Tsushima trip. There are plenty of things that kids will love, and I found quite a few tempting items myself!
Whether you visit before or after your grocery run at MaxValu, taking some time to explore the 100-yen shop, gachapon, and purikura is a great way to enjoy some casual fun.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the operating hours of Tiara Mall in Izuhara, Tsushima, and the MaxValu supermarket on the first floor?
Tiara Mall itself is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. However, please note that the MaxValu supermarket on the first floor operates independently until 10:00 PM.
Are all the items at the Tokutokuya 100-yen shop on the second floor of Tiara Mall exactly 100 yen?
No, they are not. While they sell a variety of affordable products like household goods and snacks, there are also 500-yen items on display. Therefore, it is a good idea to check the prices when picking out your items.
Are the claw machines at the game shop on the second floor of Tiara Mall worth playing?
We do not recommend using the claw machines because the claw grip is very weak. Instead, we suggest trying the well-stocked character gacha machines around the game shop or browsing the character merchandise.
What kind of entertainment is available in the evening on the second floor of Izuhara Tiara Mall?
On the second floor, you will find the Tokutokuya 100-yen shop, as well as gacha and purikura (photo sticker) machines. It is a great place to spend some casual time after dinner by doing a little shopping or taking photos in the purikura booths.
