Tsushima Cash Withdrawal 2026: Izuhara Post Office ATM Guide
Learn how to easily withdraw cash in Izuhara, Tsushima, at the Japan Post Office ATM using your Travel Wallet card, with a step-by-step guide.

Planning a trip to Tsushima? One of the most crucial things you'll need is cash.
Tsushima doesn't have many convenience stores, which means ATMs are few and far between. Plus, many local shops still operate on a cash-only basis.
Even more importantly, when you return to Busan, you'll need to pay the departure tax in cash, making it absolutely essential to have Japanese Yen on hand.
I successfully withdrew cash using my Travel Wallet card at the Izuhara Post Office ATM, and I'm here to walk you through the entire process, step by step.
If you're in a hurry and standing right in front of the ATM, just scroll down to the table at the end for a quick reference!

The ATM I used is conveniently located at the Izuhara Post Office, right in the heart of Izuhara's downtown area.
It's also right next to the Toyoko Inn Tsushima Izuhara Hotel, which I reviewed in a previous post, making it incredibly easy to stop by right after leaving your accommodation.

The post office's operating hours and the ATM's operating hours are different!
The ATM operating hours are:
Weekdays & Saturdays: 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
Sundays & Holidays: 09:00 AM - 08:00 PM

As you enter, you'll find two ATMs located on your right.

6. Enter Withdrawal Amount
On the AMOUNT screen, enter the desired amount and press YEN!
📌 You can withdraw up to 50,000 JPY (approximately ~$306) per single transaction. For example, you can withdraw 5 x 10,000 JPY bills or 10 x 1,000 JPY bills.

A screen will appear asking you to confirm the withdrawal amount. After verifying, press ENTER.

Next, you'll see a notice about potential fees. Press ENTER to proceed.

Even if you withdraw the maximum 50,000 JPY, the fee remains the same at 220 JPY. Once you've confirmed, press ENTER to move on.

9. Collect Card / Receipt / Cash
Finally, your card, receipt, and cash will be dispensed in that order. Make sure to collect everything, and you're all set!
