Next, I'll introduce you to the best locations for travelers preparing a trip to Tokyo to find accommodation.

Personally, I highly recommend staying near Shinjuku Station, the heart of Tokyo. It offers fantastic transportation convenience and is perfect for a food tour.

In fact, every time I visit Tokyo,

I stay in Shinjuku for at least one night.

The biggest reason is, undoubtedly, its superb transportation convenience.

Shinjuku boasts a wide array of stations, lines, and subway services, including Nishi-Shinjuku, Seibu-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-Nishiguchi, and Shinjuku Station itself.

This means you can easily travel to other nearby areas with incredible ease.

Plus, if you take the Narita Express (N'EX) from Narita Airport, you can get directly to Shinjuku, making airport access a breeze!

The second major advantage is the abundance of incredible eateries.

Shinjuku is bustling with both tourists and locals, which means it's packed with fantastic restaurants.

Especially since the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is nearby,

you'll find tons of great spots popular with local office workers.

Third, there are plenty of restaurants open late into the night.

Kabukicho, located northeast of Shinjuku Station, is Japan's largest entertainment district.

It's much livelier and more crowded at night than during the day.

With many bars open late, you'll find an equal number of late-night eateries, ramen shops, and more.

For those who love to enjoy a food tour late into the night, Shinjuku is truly the unparalleled place to stay.

However, if there's one downside to hotels near Shinjuku,

it's definitely that the accommodation costs are quite high.

My Review of Premier Hotel Cabin

The fantastic value-for-money hotel I chose was Premier Hotel Cabin, located near Kabukicho.

Even though it was a Saturday night stay, I was able to snag a double room for just around ~$73 per night!

Let me share my detailed review below!

Premier Hotel Cabin is nestled on the north side of Shinjuku's vibrant Kabukicho area.

Now, hearing "Kabukicho" might make some of you wonder about safety, right?

But don't worry! This particular spot isn't right in the bustling main downtown area, so it wasn't overly crowded.

With a moderate flow of people around, I personally felt the area was quite safe.

What's more, the inner door of the hotel lobby was always kept closed for extra security.

This really made me feel secure, even late at night.

While the interior design of the hotel's hallways and elevators

did feel a little older,

it was still impeccably clean and well-maintained.

I stayed in a Semi Double room,

and was assigned to Room 308 on a lower floor.

Even though it's called a Semi Double, it's really more like a cozy single room,

perfectly sized for a solo traveler.

(It *can* accommodate two, but it might feel a tad snug!)

The room might be compact, but it features a wonderfully soft bed and

a convenient single-person table.

With the desk conveniently placed right next to the bed,

it was perfect for enjoying a little late-night snack after a fun convenience store haul.

While there was a TV at the foot of the bed,

I mostly watched Netflix on my phone,

so I didn't end up using it.

The aisle space in the room, as you can see from the photos,

is wide enough to lay a 20-inch suitcase flat.

You could easily manage even a 24-inch suitcase without much hassle.

As for in-room amenities, you'll find hangers, a small clothes rack,

along with complimentary coffee, tea, and water.

Plus, they provide a hairdryer, coffee pot, and even a deodorizer,

so pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay is right there!

Next up, while the bathroom wasn't huge,

it did come with a bathtub.

Thanks to that, after a full day of exploring,

I could soak my body in a relaxing bath.

As for bathroom amenities, all the basics for personal hygiene were provided,

like cotton swabs, razors, combs, toothpaste, and toothbrushes,

and even shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were ready for use.

I didn't need to bring anything extra from home,

so my stay felt incredibly convenient.

Overall, considering the price point of around ~$73,

the room's setup and offerings were very satisfying,

so if you're looking for a great value-for-money hotel, this one is definitely worth checking out!
