I had really hoped to try Oden when I visited Osaka,
But all the reservations were full, so I couldn't go.
But here in Ginza Yurakucho, Tokyo,
I made it to the famous Odenya Takeshi!
When I arrived, I was surprised to see it packed and a long queue,
But I was determined to try it,
So I waited for about 40 minutes.
You'll find a variety of izakayas and bars,
Along with plenty of yakitori (skewered grilled food) spots!

Turned chilly in the evening, and it even rained briefly.
After waiting for 40 minutes,
I was certainly feeling the chill!
While sitting and waiting,
Many Japanese people passed by, commenting on the sight of us queuing,
As if to say, "Wow, that's dedication!"

Otoshi is basically a seating charge,
and while izakayas usually charge for otoshi,
I was surprised that here it was 330 yen per person, or 660 yen for two.
One of the otoshi tasted like marinated beef intestines.
The other was sweet kimchi...
I ordered quite a bit!
I ordered the mochi-filled tofu pouches,
but I got fried tofu, a different menu item, instead.
Haha, I was too lazy to ask them to change it, so I just ate it.
Next time, I'll definitely try the mochi-filled tofu pouches!
The interior isn't huge, but it's very clean.
The food wasn't too salty, and the quality was excellent.
There's usually a bit of a wait,
but trains pass by incredibly close,
so it was a lot of fun watching them.
There were also many locals, giving it an authentic vibe.
This unique experience, combined with the fun of watching the trains,
made it a truly happy place for me.
