This Tokyo trip was with my mom!
For my mom, who usually loves beef,
I searched for a **great yakiniku restaurant in Tokyo** and found this place!
It's **Hirokiya, a must-visit yakiniku spot in Shibuya.**
**From Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare) and beef tongue to various cuts of Wagyu,**
**you can enjoy a wide variety of meats here.**
Each cut had a different texture and seasoning,
making it fun to compare them as we ate.

📍 Hirokiya
Japan 〒150-0042 Tokyo, Shibuya, Udagawachō, 34−6 1F

Located near Shibuya 109 and Don Quijote,
it's a **great location to combine with your Shibuya itinerary.**
There are plenty of places to explore around before or after your meal!
The restaurant has both counter and table seating,
with a total of about 16 seats.
It had a great atmosphere for grilling meat comfortably with your companions
and enjoying conversations.

02. Google Reservation Guide and Course Information
**Hirokiya Shibuya makes it easy to**
**book your table via Google!**
🔻 **Book Hirokiya Shibuya via Google here** 🔻
On the Google store page, under the reservation section,
you can check available dates, times, and select the number of people.
Since seating is limited, if your travel dates are set,
**I recommend booking in advance.**

The Wagyu + all-you-can-drink course I had was
**11,000 JPY per person, tax included**!

Since each course has different components and drink inclusions,
please check the reservation screen for your desired menu.
We started with a refreshing Nama Beer for our first drink!♥

Ordering drinks was easy because
we could do it via the QR code on the table. Haha.

03. Yukhoe and Beef Tongue Served with Seaweed
First, the **Yukhoe** was enhanced with a special **tare sauce,**
giving the **savory meat an umami flavor.**
The seasoning for this yukhoe (beef tartare) was different from what I've had in Korea,
making the very first dish quite intriguing.

Eating the yukhoe with a bit of bean sprouts on seaweed
added the savory crispness of the seaweed and a delightful crunch.
We could also enjoy it with baechu kimchi (napa cabbage kimchi),
which was perfect for balancing out the meat between bites.

The beef tongue had a distinct charm compared to wagyu.
It was wonderfully bouncy yet chewy,
and a savory aroma wafted from its grilled surface.

Eating it plain at first, then adding a squeeze of lemon,
made the aftertaste incredibly refreshing, so I enjoyed alternating between the two.

04. The Diverse Flavors of Wagyu by Cut
The wagyu immediately caught my eye with its beautiful marbling.
As it cooked, a rich, savory aroma filled the air,
and it tasted best when eaten right off the grill, still warm.

The thinly sliced sirloin melted in my mouth,
offering a deeply rich and savory flavor profile.

Dipping it in egg made the taste even smoother,
allowing me to enjoy a different combination of flavors.
It was almost like a tender sukiyaki! ♥

Eating various cuts together made it fun to compare the richness of the fat and
the different textures.
The seasoned meats were perfectly flavored,
so we didn't need to add much extra sauce.

There were options to grill the meat yourself or have the staff grill it for you,
and they explained the best way to cook each cut!
Ensuring each piece of meat is cooked to perfection
is definitely one of the joys of enjoying yakiniku, right? 😄

With unlimited drinks, it was great to be able to pair beverages that perfectly complemented the meat!

05. Finishing the Meal with Naengmyeon
After all that meat, I wrapped up the meal with naengmyeon (cold noodles).
The cold broth and chewy noodles
were the perfect refreshing finish after the rich flavors of the meat.

I absolutely loved Hirokiya!
It was fantastic to savor yukhoe (beef tartare), gyutan (beef tongue), and wagyu, each offering unique textures and flavor combinations.
And if you're like me and want to sample a little bit of everything,
the course menu is your perfect gateway to a delightful culinary journey!

So, when you find yourself in Tokyo, craving a bit of retail therapy and a truly unforgettable dinner,
make a beeline for Hirokiya in Shibuya — it's a culinary gem you won't want to miss! :)
