Hirata Bokujo Kiwami Tonkatsu
While there's a tonkatsu restaurant on the 6th floor of KITTE's dining area,
the KITTE Garden free observation deck is also on the 6th floor,
so I visited both at the same time!

Weekdays: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Please note that the deck may close depending on weather conditions.
You can get a wide and excellent view of Tokyo Station
and the Marunouchi buildings.
The weather was great, and it was absolutely stunning!
KITTE is a multi-complex space that was renovated from the former Central Post Office building.
You can enjoy shopping, delicious restaurants, and even a free observation deck here.
The classic charm of Tokyo Station
coexists with a modern vibe.
KITTE is conveniently located right next to Tokyo Station,
making it easily accessible via various lines like the JR Yamanote Line, Chuo Line, and more.
They sell everything from Japanese designer brands to local specialties,
cafes, kitchenware, and clothing.
On the 6th floor, you'll find:
1. ARCANA Tokyo (French restaurant & bar)
2. Sumibi Sushi Kushiro (Charcoal-grilled Sushi Kushiro)
3. Hirata Bokujo Kiwami Tonkatsu
4. Uozen Hyotei (Sea Bream & Beef Course Cuisine)
5. Luxury Chinese Cuisine Terrace Kawamonka
Kushiro, where you can enjoy meat and sushi,
was another restaurant I wanted to visit.
However, it was fully booked, and the wait was too long,
so I couldn't get in.

They say it's premium tonkatsu made from Golden Pig pork
sourced from Hirata Farm's own ranch.
The Golden Pig is known as a "phantom pig,"
a rare breed even worldwide.
They also offer a half-and-half Golden Pig Tonkatsu set, featuring both tenderloin and loin cuts.
While the price might not be the cheapest,
cabbage and rice refills are available!
They also serve other delicious dishes like Shabu-Shabu, fried oysters, and fried shrimp.
Hirata Farm is located in Yamagata Prefecture,
and even their sauce ingredients are said to come from Yamagata!
They offer perilla seed sauce and a minced onion dressing.
They even provide instructions on how to best enjoy your tonkatsu,
and the staff are incredibly friendly!
I didn't realize it at the time, but I found out later that BTS's RM
had also sat here and eaten tonkatsu!
What an honorable spot!
I even tried grinding the sesame seeds myself!
It somehow feels even fresher knowing it's sourced directly from the farm!
That makes it feel even fresher!
It's tender, juicy, and delicious!
And miso soup arrived too!
It wasn't greasy at all when dipped in mustard.
Enjoying the beautiful view of Tokyo Station
and savoring premium tonkatsu just made my day even better!
After finishing our meal, we headed down to the first floor, hoping to grab a coffee at a cafe, but
the lines were just too long for the places we wanted to try.
It was incredibly crowded!
Be prepared for a wait.

Sembikiya Main Store
It's a parfait specialty store,
but there were no seats available!
They also have a magnificent Christmas tree!
The Christmas tree itself was beautiful and had such a unique vibe.
After about a five-minute wait, we finally found a spot for coffee.
We had to catch the Narita Limousine Bus back to Korea soon,
and time was running out,
so I was really sad we couldn't explore KITTE more.
We made it to Bourdi Cara Stand!
This place is famous for its incredible croissants.
The croissant was absolutely delicious, and after savoring some delightful coffee and dessert, it's time to head off to Narita Airport!
Imagine catching a breathtaking sunset from the KITTE Garden observation deck as dusk settles! You'll also get to take in the iconic Tokyo Station and the expansive Marunouchi Plaza. While you're at KITTE, be sure to indulge in a variety of delicious treats and explore the captivating special exhibition art installations. I truly hope you have an incredibly enjoyable time discovering it all!

The tonkatsu restaurant visited by BTS's RM, located on the 6th floor of the KITTE building at Tokyo Station, is called 'Hirata Bokujo Kiwami Tonkatsu'. This restaurant sells premium tonkatsu made with 'Kinka Buta' (Golden Pig) sourced from Hirata Farm.
The free KITTE Garden observation deck operates from 11 AM to 11 PM on weekdays. On weekends and public holidays, it operates from 11 AM to 10 PM, and may be closed depending on weather conditions.
Hirata Bokujo Kiwami Tonkatsu uses 'Kinka Buta' (Golden Pig), a rare global breed directly sourced from Hirata Farm. Tonkatsu prices range from ~$12 to ~$19.
This restaurant sells half-and-half tonkatsu of Kinka Buta (Golden Pig) tenderloin and loin, and you can also enjoy shabu-shabu, fried oysters, and fried shrimp. Cabbage and rice are refillable.
On the 6th floor of KITTE, there are other restaurants such as French restaurant Arcana Tokyo, charcoal-grilled sushi Kushiro, and Uo-shogunhei, a specialty restaurant for sea bream course meals. The cafe where the author had coffee on the 1st floor is 'Broody Gala Stand', famous for its croissants.
