Why did I pick it as #1, you ask?

It's directly connected to Shiodome Station, which made it incredibly convenient when bringing luggage from the airport.

Ginza is 10 minutes away, Tsukiji is just one stop, and Tokyo Tower is also close by, so my travel routes were always smooth.

What's more, the standard double room was about 18㎡ (approx. 6 pyeong), which is quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. I could even open my suitcase next to and in front of the bed and still have room to spare.

Since the train station is right in front, it was fun watching the Shinkansen zoom by outside the window. And thanks to the double-paned windows, there's almost no noise when they're closed.

To be frank about one slight drawback, breakfast isn't included in the room rate. If you add it on-site, it's over ~$21 per person, but if you book a room with breakfast in advance, it's around ~$14. So, if you plan to have breakfast, I recommend adding it when you book.

Why is it number 2, you ask?

Because the rooms are spacious!

While many say the basic Economy room (13㎡) is small,

upgrading to a Superior room (20㎡) for just about ~$21 more per day makes a world of difference.

If two people split the cost, for an investment of just ~$10 per person,

we could comfortably spread out two suitcases.

It's connected to Shinjuku Station,

and the airport limousine bus stop is right in front, making transportation super convenient. Plus, with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building just ahead, the location feels really secure and central.

One thing to keep in mind is the size of the basic rooms.

If you opt for an Economy room, it will be as small as in many other Japanese hotels.

So, I highly recommend booking Superior or higher, and always a Twin room here.

Twin rooms are a bit more spacious, even within the same category.

Twin rooms sell out fast.

Roppongi is known as a business district, so it was quiet and felt very safe.

Famous eateries like Tsujihan and Hirokiya are also within walking distance.

You're in a neighborhood with a distinctly Tokyo vibe, so much so that

Tokyo Tower is visible after just a short walk!

Having a massage chair in the room was fantastic for unwinding in the evening, and since the remm series specializes in sleep-focused hotels, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The cleanliness was also top-notch, so there was none of that lingering feeling you sometimes get with budget-friendly hotels.

There were a couple of things that left me wanting a little more.

The basic Double Room is 15㎡, which is a bit on the small side.

If you prefer more space, a Twin room (24㎡) is a great option.

Also, the Tokyo Tower view isn't automatically assigned;

you need to specifically book a Tower View Double room to get it.

I didn't realize this and ended up in a standard room, which was a bit of a bummer.

I was a bit worried being in Kabukicho, but it's actually on a street with many hotels, so it was surprisingly quiet and safe.

The front door is locked 24/7, allowing only guests to enter, which also gave me peace of mind.

The hot water flowed freely, and having a bathtub was a real plus! Shin-Okubo and Don Quijote are also within walking distance, so it's perfect if you plan on enjoying late-night dining and entertainment.

The only drawback is that the Small Double Room is the smallest room in this hotel, so it might feel a little snug for taller guests or two adult men.

But if you're a couple with an average build, it's perfectly fine,

If you want a spacious room, go for a Twin.Twin rooms are 24m², so they're quite spacious.
