I recently enjoyed a fantastic 3-day, 2-night trip to Tokyo in late October 2025!

This particular trip was all about shopping and relaxation, and honestly, the destination was chosen because there was one specific hotel I was absolutely dreaming of staying at.

I booked two different accommodations, one for each night. Since my dream hotel was on the pricier side, I opted for just one night there, then spent the other night at a more budget-friendly option.

To my pleasant surprise, both experiences offered something unique and were incredibly satisfying! I'm excited to share them with you today. :)

There are two TRUNK Hotel locations in Shibuya.

The rooftop infinity pool is exclusively available at the Yoyogi Park branch.

It was the stunning infinity pool in the photos that convinced us to choose Tokyo for this trip!

The heated pool operates year-round, so you can enjoy it anytime.

Located right next to Yoyogi Park, the hotel's entrance boasts lush, green landscaping, giving it a unique and fresh feel, typical of a trendy boutique hotel.

Every room here features a terrace.

We stayed in a "Standard Room."

It's wonderful to just relax on the terrace with a cup of tea in the morning.

Given that it's a newer hotel, the in-room dishes and coffee maker were spotless and designed with a stylish flair.

The inside of the coffee maker was practically brand new, which made enjoying a morning tea truly delightful.

We returned to the hotel in the early evening and spent time at the infinity pool until late at night.

Since it's a heated pool, it wasn't cold to use even in the fall. In fact, the cool air combined with the warm water made it even more enjoyable!

Even when we came out to the daybeds, there were heaters nearby, so we didn't feel cold at all. It was truly wonderful!

You absolutely must try the jacuzzi next to the pool. It's perfect for melting away travel fatigue. I personally recommend using it from late afternoon into the evening rather than in the morning.

On one side, there's a cozy sofa area where you can enjoy food while watching a fire pit, but we had dinner reservations elsewhere, so we didn't get to use it.

There's also an oyster bar and outdoor shower facilities, which are great for a quick rinse before hopping into the pool.

We did a lot of searching and managed to book our stay for around ~$384 per night.

Looking now, the rates seem to be in the range of ~$512 to ~$1,280 per night.

This was our accommodation for the second night:

The remm Roppongi hotel. We booked it for about a third of the price of our first night's stay! It's located right in front of Roppongi Station, making its location incredibly convenient.

With the entrance directly on a main street, it felt safe and comfortable even when returning late at night.

When booking, I specifically requested a high-floor room.

While it's definitely smaller than our first hotel (you'll have to step over your luggage if you open it), the Tokyo Tower view from the window was the main draw.

The room also has a massage chair. It's not incredibly powerful, but the leg massage after a day of exploring was definitely a treat!

The bathroom and shower are combined. While compact, it wasn't overly inconvenient, and with the blinds down, the glass partition wasn't an issue.

While there are many even more budget-friendly options, we chose this one for several reasons:

A reasonable price point,

An incredibly convenient location for getting around (restaurants like Meat Man and Don Quijote are all within walking distance),

And that stunning Tokyo Tower view!

Thanks to these advantages, our second night's stay was also fantastic.
