01. Tokyo Disneyland Ticket Prices and Reservations
Tokyo Disneyland (東京ディズニーランド) is
one of two theme parks located within Tokyo Disney Resort,
and it's definitely a must-visit destination in Tokyo.
Since it's a separate park from Tokyo DisneySea,
when purchasing your tickets,
you need to be sure to distinguish between Disneyland and DisneySea.
The standard One-Day Passport is the most commonly purchased admission ticket,
allowing you to enter the park for one day on a specified date and for a specific park.
Prices vary on weekends and popular dates,
so it's a good idea to compare prices for different dates,
even if it's within the same travel period.
Ticket Type | Adult Price | Available From |
1-Day Passport | 8,900 yen~ | Park Opening |
After 3 Passport | 7,900 yen~ | Weekends & Public Holidays from 3 PM |
After 5 Passport | 6,000 yen~ | Weekdays from 5 PM |

You can book Tokyo Disneyland tickets
through the official app/website or travel platforms,
Snagging your tickets with a 10% discount from Klook or Trip.com,
and simply scanning your QR code to walk right in,
it's so much faster, more convenient, easier, and even more affordable! Trust me on this one. 😉

02. Beauty and the Beast DPA: Is It Worth the Splurge?
Without a doubt, the absolute highlight of my Tokyo Disneyland trip was the incredible
Beauty and the Beast 'Enchanted Tale'.
To be honest, thrill rides or anything too scary usually isn't my jam,
thanks to a bit of motion sickness.
So, instead of rushing to hit every single attraction,
I happily soaked in the Disneyland atmosphere
and wandered around, snapping photos.
Yet, even for me, Beauty and the Beast became my absolute favorite ride across
both Disneyland and DisneySea!

You'll find 'Beauty and the Beast' nestled in Fantasyland.
It's more than just a ride;
it feels like you've truly stepped right into a Disney animated movie!
I genuinely loved this attraction so much that I felt it was worth coming to Disneyland for this ride alone.
Maybe it's because I grew up watching Beauty and the Beast, but I'll let you in on a little secret:
I found tears streaming down my face without even realizing it!
Before my trip, I'd seen people on YouTube saying they cried watching Disneyland videos and I just didn't get it.
Well, now I do — and I was pretty surprised by my own reaction! 🙈

Beauty and the Beast DPA: The Price Tag
Disney Premier Access (DPA) is essentially a special ticket,
much like a FastPass, that you purchase for an additional fee.
Unlike your park admission ticket, you can't buy DPA online beforehand.
You can only purchase it through the official Disneyland app
*after* you've entered Tokyo Disneyland.
You simply select your preferred time slot within the app and complete the payment right there~
Whether you use a credit card or an in-app payment method, it's super convenient!
The DPA for Beauty and the Beast costs
2,500 yen per person.
So, essentially, you're deciding if you're willing to pay a bit extra
to skip the long wait for this one fantastic ride! It's like buying back your precious time, and in my opinion, it's absolutely worth every yen!
Category | Details |
Official Name | Beauty and the Beast 'Enchanted Tale' |
Location | Fantasyland |
Ride Duration | Approx. 8 minutes |
DPA Price | 2,500 yen per person |
Purchase | Via official app after park entry |
Features | Moving cup ride synchronized with music |
Caution | Spinning, dark scenes, loud noises |
If you're like me and Beauty and the Beast is
*the* one ride you simply can't miss at Disneyland,
then definitely put DPA at the top of your list!
Just a heads-up: DPA has limited availability
and can sell out,
so make sure to check the official app for sales status
right after you enter the park.
But don't panic! It usually doesn't sell out *too* early in the morning.
I actually managed to purchase mine around noon.

The number of attractions eligible for Tokyo Disneyland DPA has greatly increased!
Before, it was mostly just Beauty and the Beast and Baymax, but now you can even use DPA for Pooh's Hunny Hunt and Big Thunder Mountain!
Prices are subject to change, so please double-check on the official app on the day of your visit.
03. Is it okay if I'm not into thrilling rides?
To cut straight to the chase: you can absolutely have a blast even if you don't go on a single ride!
I didn't go on any scary rides myself. Aside from Beauty and the Beast, I mostly stuck to attractions that were easy to enjoy.
Picture this: enjoying the healing vibes while riding gentle attractions like the Pinocchio-themed ride (perfect for kids and parents to enjoy together!) or "it's a small world"!

Tokyo Disneyland isn't just about thrilling rides; it's also a fantastic place to simply explore fairytale worlds and soak in the magical atmosphere!
Especially if you love photography, just exploring Cinderella Castle, the surrounding streets, and themed areas is an absolute joy! If you time it right for a parade, that's a huge bonus too. Just a heads-up: during the Baymax parade, be careful! Lots of water splashes, so your clothes and camera could get wet.
Category | Admission Ticket | DPA |

04. Tokyo Disneyland Photo Spots
During this Tokyo Disney visit,
instead of riding a lot of attractions,
I took my time taking photos and soaking it all in.
Tokyo Disneyland is amazing because
each themed area has such a unique atmosphere,
so just walking around offers plenty to see and discover.
Cinderella Castle, in particular,
as the iconic symbol of Disneyland,
is a fantastic spot to capture some memorable photos.
The fairytale-like buildings in Fantasyland
and the streets around World Bazaar
are also perfect for experiencing that unique Disney magic.

For those who love the unique atmosphere of amusement parks and theme parks,
rather than trying to squeeze in too many popular attractions,
I recommend allowing ample time
to simply explore and enjoy the sights at your own pace.
Attraction | Feature | Recommended For |
Beauty and the Beast | Music, Story, Immersive Ride | Disney Charm, Emotional Experience |
Pinocchio's Daring Journey | Classic Indoor Dark Ride | Those Who Love Fairytale Stories |
Pooh's Hunny Hunt | Honey Pot-shaped Ride | Families, Character Fans |
Baymax's Happy Ride | Music and Spinning Movement | Those Who Love an Exciting Atmosphere |
"it's a small world" | Dolls and Music from Around the World | Families, Gentle Sightseeing |

05. Things to Know Before Visiting Tokyo Disneyland
Before you head to Tokyo Disneyland,
it's good to keep a few things in mind.
First, your park ticket and DPA are different.
Your park ticket is what gets you *into* the park,
while DPA (Disney Premier Access) is a separate paid service
you purchase to gain priority access to some popular attractions or shows.
Second, check DPA availability after you enter the park.
For highly popular attractions like Beauty and the Beast,
DPA can sell out quickly.
Be sure to check the official app for availability
and available time slots right after you enter!
Third, it's totally okay to not ride every single attraction.
Tokyo Disneyland is such a magical place that
just taking photos, strolling through the themed areas,
and soaking in the unique Disney atmosphere
makes for an incredibly charming trip on its own.
Especially if you're not a big fan of thrilling rides,
focusing your itinerary around attractions like Beauty and the Beast
is a wonderful way to plan your visit.

Tokyo Disneyland Review: A Complete Wrap-up
Tokyo Disneyland was truly
a theme park that you can thoroughly enjoy,
even if you're not into scary rides.
I used DPA for Beauty and the Beast,
and for everything else, I focused on enjoying lighter rides and
capturing beautiful photos.
If you're planning to book Tokyo Disneyland tickets,
I highly recommend comparing prices based on your desired visit date first,
and if there's a must-ride attraction on your list,
definitely consider whether using DPA is the right choice for you.
And because Tokyo DisneySea has a distinctly different vibe from Disneyland,
I've put together a separate review for it too!
