Heading to Tokyo Disney in 2026? Unravel the magic of tickets, Disney Premier Access (DPA), and essential app strategies for a seamless day at Disneyland or DisneySea!

If you're visiting Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea for the first time,
you might feel a bit overwhelmed by the many ticket types,
from admission tickets to DPA and Priority Passes.
I recently visited Tokyo DisneySea,
and after experiencing it myself, I found that it wasn't as complicated as I thought
once I understood just a few key things!
First, before your visit, you only need to prepare your 1-Day Passport.
Once you're inside the park, the key is to quickly grab your DPA and free passes
through the app.
I'll break down everything from how to get the maximum discount to app registration,
DPA types, and even recommended rides.
1. Disney Tickets

Tokyo Disney Resort is divided into
two parks: Disneyland and DisneySea,
and you need to purchase admission tickets for your desired park separately.
The admission prices for both parks are the same,
but you can think of them as having different characters and rides.
· Disneyland: Mainly features charming characters like Winnie the Pooh and Beauty and the Beast,
along with rides primarily for children.
· DisneySea: Focuses on characters like those from Toy Story, Frozen, and Peter Pan,
along with thrilling rides. (Plus, it has a unique marine concept!)

📌 Tokyo Disney Resort Ticket Concepts Explained
· 1-Day Passport: This is the basic ticket that allows you to enjoy one park
(Disneyland or DisneySea) from opening time.
· DPA (Disney Premier Access): This pass allows you to pay an additional fee to experience popular attractions
with a shorter wait time at a designated hour.
· 40th Anniversary Pass: This pass allows you to ride certain attractions for free,
but it's only available until August 31st.
· Entry Request: This is an in-app lottery service to participate in certain programs,
such as performances and shows.
→ In conclusion, the only thing you absolutely need to buy before your trip is
the basic admission ticket, and DPA and the 40th Anniversary Pass can be used
through the app after you've entered the park.
2. Admission Ticket Prices

The admission ticket prices for Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea
vary depending on your visit date, and you can only purchase them in advance.
📌 Tokyo Disney Resort Ticket Price Comparison
Category | 1-Day Passport | 1-Day Park Hopper |
Klook | ~$56 | ~$97 |
KKDAY | ~$61 | ~$105 |
When I made my reservation, Klook was the most affordable option,
and I was able to apply a discount code, so I purchased my tickets there.
❗ As a side note, if you're visiting until September 14th,
you can also purchase a Park Hopper ticket.
(This ticket allows you to visit both Disneyland and DisneySea in one day.)

3. DPA Types

Once you've purchased your tickets, the next important step is app registration.
I highly recommend registering the QR code from your voucher
in the Tokyo Disney Resort App in advance.
By registering in advance, you can immediately participate
in DPA ticketing after entering the park. (It's super competitive!)
Tip: After downloading the app, simply tap the "Scan Ticket" button
to scan your QR code.
(Unfortunately, you can no longer register your credit card in advance ㅜㅜ)

You can purchase Tokyo DisneySea DPA after entering the park,
directly through the app.
📌 Tokyo DisneySea DPA Prices & Types
[ ~$12 ]
Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey
Rapunzel's Lantern Festival
Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure
Soaring: Fantastic Flight
Toy Story Mania!
[ ~$9 ]
Tower of Terror
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Shows like Believe! Sea of Dreams
are currently sold for ~$16.

DPA tickets are limited in quantity and can sell out quickly.
If you definitely want to ride the popular attractions,
it's best to check the app as soon as you enter the park.
Tip : For popular DPA, it's best to 'open run' (arrive early at opening) to purchase them,
and 'open run' usually means arriving by 7 AM...😂😂

The most popular DPA are undoubtedly
the Fantasy Springs attractions and Soaring.
That's why I purchased Soaring immediately
after the park opened.

You can select your desired time slot for purchase,
and the QR code will activate at your boarding time once purchased.
Just show your QR code in the designated line and you can enter.
(Seriously, you can ride in 5 minutes flat, capitalism rocks! 👍🏻)
❗ You can't purchase multiple DPA tickets
continuously and without limit at once.
After purchasing one DPA, you can buy another
either after 60 minutes have passed, or after you've ridden the attraction you purchased it for.
4. Attraction Recommendations

If you're looking for thrilling rides at Tokyo DisneySea,
I'd first recommend Tower of Terror, Journey to the Center of the Earth,
and Raging Spirits.
From my perspective, Tower of Terror
felt the most thrilling,
while Journey to the Center of the Earth and Raging Spirits
were enjoyable enough if you're somewhat accustomed to thrill rides.

If you visit Raging Spirits within August,
it's eligible for the 40th Anniversary Priority Pass,
so it's a good idea to try for a free pass first.

If I had to pick just one must-do at DisneySea,
I'd recommend the Fantasy Springs attractions.
Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey is a large-scale attraction that follows the Frozen story,
Rapunzel's Lantern Festival lets you experience the lantern scene by boat.
Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure is a ride that combines 3D visuals with boat movements,
offering more immersion than thrill.

For me, enjoying the park atmosphere was just as important
as the rides at DisneySea.
Buying headbands, eating popcorn from seasonal souvenir buckets,
and hunting for different popcorn flavors in each area
actually ended up being quite memorable.
I highly recommend buying merchandise like headbands and, of course, popcorn!
📌 Review Summary
