This time, I've brought you a golden tip for comfortably getting from Disney to Shinjuku for **just 1,000 Yen**!

1. Shinjuku ↔ Disney Express Bus Basic Information

While most people usually transfer to the JR Keiyo Line from Tokyo Station, if your accommodation is in Shinjuku, the express bus (shuttle) is overwhelmingly more convenient.
Fare | Adults 1,000 Yen / Children 500 Yen |
Travel Time | Approx. 50 minutes ~ 1 hour (Varies depending on traffic conditions) |
Advantages | No transfers, 100% reserved seating (you can sit the whole way!) |
2. [Departure] Shinjuku Station → Disneyland, DisneySea: How to Buy Bus Tickets

I used the subway when departing from Shinjuku, but I've put together this information for those who might be looking for it!
Where to Board:
Busta Shinjuku (Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal 4F)
How to Book:
Purchase tickets for 'Disney Resort' at the automatic ticket machines inside the 4F terminal.
Tip:
They say it gets crowded in the mornings, but surprisingly, many people don't know about taking the bus, so when I checked the next morning, it was quite uncrowded!
However, during peak season or on weekends, it's a good idea to arrive at the terminal in advance and check ticket availability, just in case!
If there are no bus seats available, you can still get there directly by subway from Shinjuku Station, so don't worry!
3. [Return] Disneyland, DisneySea → Shinjuku Station: Where to Catch the Bus
If you leave right at closing time, the subway is already a "hell train"...
I chose the 1,000 Yen bus, and it was truly an excellent decision!
Since it goes straight to Shinjuku Station without any transfers, I would have been dozing off standing on the subway. But with the bus, **my tired legs finally got a rest**
**+ I completely dozed off and fell asleep!**

Where to Catch It?
Disneyland: Bus Stop #2
DisneySea: Bus Stop #4

You'll find numbers above the bus stops,
so you'll spot yours in no time!

※ Important Tip
Bus stop numbers can change based on local conditions,
so always double-check!
While 'Shinjuku' is written on the bus,
if you don't know kanji or Japanese,
staff members are usually standing at the bus stops,
so just ask, "Shinjuku bus?" and they'll help you out!

Payment Method
There's no separate booking system;
you simply queue up and board in order!
You'll pay the fare when you board.
Cash or major transportation IC cards
like Suica and Pasmo are all accepted!
However, please note that Travel Wallet and Toss Card are not accepted.
4. Subway VS 1,000 Yen Bus Comparison (+ Information for Other Stations)

✔️ Escape Tokyo Station Transfer Hell
Anyone who's transferred to the Keiyo Line at Tokyo Station knows the struggle...
You have to walk for almost 15-20 minutes,
and after walking 20,000 steps all day at Disney,
that's practically torture. ㅠㅠ
✔️ Reasonable Price
Subway fares can quickly add up to 800-900 yen with transfers,
but for just 1,000 yen, you can go 'seated' all the way to your accommodation?
That's not just good value for money; it's an absolute steal!
✔️ Luggage Storage Available
Since it's an express bus, you can store suitcases or large shopping bags
in the luggage compartment below. It's perfect for those who've bought a lot of souvenirs!
Category | Using the Subway | Using the 1,000 Yen Bus |
Fare | Approx. 800-900 yen | 1,000 yen |
Transfers | 1 or more (Tokyo Station transfer hell) | Direct (0 transfers) |
Fatigue Level | High (high chance of standing) | Low (comfortable seating) |
Recommended For | Those confident in walking | Families with children, those who want to conserve energy |

Bonus Time!
My accommodation wasn't directly at Shinjuku Station either,
but it was just two stops away, so I still went to Shinjuku Station!
For those thinking, 'But my hotel isn't near Shinjuku Station?',
I've got you covered!
If you're heading to other stations,
check out the table below!
Prices are as of February 2026,
and may change, so always carry some extra yen!
