When you're planning a trip to **Tokyo,** a must-visit destination is
none other than Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea!
As a huge Disney lover,
I always make sure to include either Disneyland or DisneySea
in my Tokyo itinerary!
Especially if you're visiting in **September or October**, it's the
**Halloween season**, which means even more to see and do than usual!
If you prepare in advance,
you can make the most of your visit! 🩵

In 2026, **Disney Halloween** will be celebrated at
both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea
**from September 16th to October 31st**.
The catch is that **during the Halloween season**, the
**ticket prices for weekends and popular dates go up**, and your
**desired dates might even sell out**.

**
I'll neatly organize everything for you, from
**Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea ticket prices** to
**how to book, how to get discounts,**
and even some great tips for making the most of the Halloween season!
★ | Tokyo Disneyland vs. DisneySea: What's the Difference? |
At **Tokyo Disney Resort**, you'll find
**Disneyland and DisneySea**, two fantastic parks.
First-timers often wonder which one to book.

**✔️Tokyo Disneyland vs. DisneySea Comparison**
📍 Tokyo Disneyland
1-1 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba 279-0031 Japan
📍 Tokyo DisneySea
1-13 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba 279-8511 Japan
Category | Disneyland | DisneySea |
Atmosphere | Classic Disney Magic | Exotic & Grand |
Key Highlights | Cinderella Castle, Parades | Fantasy Springs, Port Views |
Recommended For | First-timers, Families | Couples, Adult Travelers |
Halloween | Villain-centric Parade | Halloween Greetings |

**Tokyo Disneyland** is
truly what most of us envision when we think of Disney magic.
Right upon entering, you'll see Cinderella Castle, and with captivating
parades and dazzling fireworks, it's a place where you can fully immerse yourself in the classic Disney spirit.

On the other hand, **DisneySea** is
a **unique park found only in Japan**! So, if you've already experienced Disney parks in other countries like Shanghai or Hong Kong, DisneySea could be an exciting new adventure for you!
Of course, if you have the time,
visiting both parks on separate days is always the ultimate choice!
★ | Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea Ticket Prices |

Both **Disneyland and DisneySea**
operate on a **variable pricing system based on the date**.
Prices vary depending on the day;
weekdays are generally more affordable, while Japanese holidays and weekends are a bit pricier.
2026 1-Day Ticket Standard Prices |
Adults (18+) From 8,900 JPY~ |
Junior (12-17 years old) From 7,400 JPY~ |
Child (4-11 years old) From 5,300 JPY~ |
Children **3 years old and under** can enter for free. |

‼️However, during the Halloween season,
you can't just budget based on these lowest prices.
For instance, an adult 1-day pass for DisneySea in October 2026
is priced anywhere from 9,900 JPY to 12,400 JPY depending on the date.
Even though it's the same park,
depending on your visit date,
there can be a difference of over 2,000 JPY.
So, if your travel schedule is flexible,
just like with airline tickets, compare Disney ticket prices too,
checking the prices for dates around your intended visit.

★ | How to Book Disney Tickets |

For Tokyo Disney Resort,
you need to decide on your visit date and park to purchase tickets.
Tickets for the same date, two months prior to your visit,
are sold daily from 2 PM.
For example, if you're visiting on October 20th,
you can purchase tickets starting August 20th.
However, while Disneyland tickets
are generally fine to buy one to two weeks in advance,
they might sell out if you try to book the day before or on the day itself.
So, it's definitely more reassuring to purchase them in advance before your trip, wouldn't you agree? ;)

You can certainly book directly on the official website, but
for international theme park tickets, I personally
prefer to buy them online in advance.
Sometimes the prices are cheaper than on the official site,
and you can easily purchase them immediately without needing to sign up for a membership,
which I find super convenient!
Booking Site | Price | Link |
Trip.com | 7,626 JPY | |
Klook | 7,050 JPY | |
Prices based on the same date.
May vary depending on JPY and exchange rates.
When I made my purchase,
the Trip.com price was lower,
so I purchased it from Trip.com!
Since prices vary by date,
make sure to compare them all :)
As of now, buying from Klook offers the best deal!
When booking, after selecting the park and date you wish to visit,
you can enter directly with a QR code.
There's no need to find a separate counter
to exchange for a physical ticket, which I found really convenient!
2026 Tokyo Disney Halloween Period

This year, the 2026 Tokyo Disney Halloween season
runs from September 16, 2026 ~
until October 31.
While it takes place at both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea,
the show contents are different!
At Disneyland,
you'll find a parade featuring Disney villains called
The Villains’ Halloween
Into the Frenzy.
In the evening, there's also the
Night High Halloween Fireworks with Halloween music planned! 🩵
At DisneySea,
you can see Mickey and his Disney friends appearing on boats during the
Disney Halloween Greeting.
If you want to fully immerse yourself in the Halloween atmosphere,
it's best to plan your visit for dates after September 16.

Also, from September 16 to November 2,
various areas will be decorated with themes from the movie Coco,
so if you enjoyed Coco, you'll love it even more! 🩵
‼️ Double-check Halloween Costume Dates
Normally, full character costumes are not allowed at Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea,
but during the Halloween season, they are!
However, for 2026, full body costumes won't be permitted for the entire Halloween period.
🎃Full costume allowance dates are:
September 15 to September 30
October 16 to October 31
From October 1 to 15,
the official notice requests guests to refrain from visiting in full costumes.
So, if you're specifically preparing a costume for Halloween,
make sure to check these dates carefully.
Changing clothes or applying makeup in park restrooms or lockers
is also prohibited.

Also, just because it's a Disney character,
doesn't mean any costume is acceptable.
Excessively revealing costumes,
costumes long enough to drag on the ground,
or makeup that makes it difficult to identify your face
are restricted.
Tokyo Disneyland Halloween in September/October: Don't Miss This!
If you're heading to Tokyo Disneyland during the Halloween season,
make sure to ride the Haunted Mansion!
From September 15, 2026
to January 7, 2027,

so if you're visiting Disneyland, definitely add it to your itinerary.
Starting September 15, 2026,
the Haunted Mansion will also be eligible for DPA (Disney Premier Access),
and it costs 1,000 yen per ride!
If the wait time is long,
it's perfectly fine to check the DPA price on-site and decide then.
Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea are
so incredibly popular that they're always crowded, no matter when you visit.
Once you enter the park, first things first:
check the Tokyo Disney Resort App.
📱iPhone Tokyo Disney Resort App
📱Android Tokyo Disney Resort App
Make sure to download it in advance, either in your home country or when you have Wi-Fi access :)
Head straight to the attraction you want to ride most, or
purchase a DPA – it's a must!

At Tokyo Disneyland, Beauty and the Beast,
while at DisneySea, Frozen, Rapunzel, and Soaring
are the ones to aim for!
As soon as you enter, **don't rush to shop or take photos first**!
Make sure to secure your reservations,
and prioritize the **popular rides! 🩵**
Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan
is truly a destination where you can always return to your childlike wonder! >_<

Especially during the **Halloween season**,
with limited-time parades and merchandise,
various decorations and costumes everywhere,
you can enjoy an atmosphere unlike any other time of year.
