Chiikawa Restaurant Ikebukuro: Reservation Guide & Menu Review 2026

The Chiikawa Restaurant, an absolute must-visit for any Chiikawa fan in Tokyo!

However, with Chiikawa's soaring popularity these days,

advance reservations have become pretty much essential

So, let's dive into everything from how to reserve your spot to what's on the menu!

Reservations & Walk-ins

First off, on days with available seats in time slots where reservation tickets haven't sold out,

you can check for same-day tickets on their official X (formerly Twitter)

or inquire with the staff in-store.

However, due to its immense popularity,

it's incredibly rare to find any open spots.

Even the photo I took, captured before weekday lunchtime,

shows everything completely sold out.

It's definitely much less stressful to just make a reservation in advance!

Currently, tickets for about two weeks from now are only available for about three days.

Standard seats include both counter and table seating, and each ticket

includes a 1,000 JPY meal voucher per person.

The Box seating features plush sofa tables,

includes a 6,000 JPY meal voucher,

and allows entry for up to 4 people.

Since there were two adult women in my group, I booked standard seats.

But once we ordered our meal and drinks, it easily went over 6,000 JPY.

If you plan on ordering several items, you might as well book a box seat!

Since it's on the 7th floor of Ikebukuro PARCO department store,

it's a great idea to browse the adjacent merchandise shop or

even visit Chiikawa Land on B2 while you wait.

The Chiikawa characters in chef outfits are absolutely adorable, but I was surprised by the limited amount of merchandise,

only to realize that most of it was completely sold out.

Oh, when will this incredible popularity ever die down...? 😭

Menu

When I arrived 10 minutes before my entry time,

they explained the guidelines along with the menu.

- Usage time is a maximum of 1 hour from when your first dish is served.

- Orders can only be placed once, with no additional orders allowed.

- No changes can be made after ordering.

- A maximum of 4 food and dessert items per person.

- A coaster is provided with each drink order.

Since they mentioned that no additional orders could be placed,

we ended up ordering 3 main dishes and 1 dessert.

It turned out to be far too much food for two adults!

I think two dishes would have been just the right amount.

I've listed the menu items I ordered in the table below.

Personally, everything was delicious except for the omurice.

Interior Atmosphere

The restaurant's interior is adorned with Chiikawa characters everywhere,

and an animation plays on one of the walls.

Our random coasters turned out to be Kurimanju and Usagi! So cute, Usagi is the best 💛

Food Review

📍Chiikawa, Hachiware Cream Soda

The Chiikawa one is strawberry flavored, and the Hachiware one is blue soda flavored.

With ice cream on top, they were even more delicious than I expected!

The character faces are just for decoration, so feel free to take photos and then remove them.

📍Hachiware Dry Curry Omurice

This omurice comes with Rakkō and Hachiware forks!

Since this menu item depicts Hachiware's conquest scene, the forks are even shaped like weapons.

It comes with salad and meatballs, so the overall combination is good.

But personally, the taste... it's not bad, but it wasn't as good as the other menu items.

📍Shisa Ramen

Ramen presented by the angelic Shisa!

It's topped with bean sprouts, vegetables, and generous pieces of meat,

served with traditional Okinawan seasonings and sauce.

The noodles are slightly thick, and the broth is rich and delicious.

After trying Ichiraku Ramen from Naruto, I developed a prejudice that all anime collaboration ramens aren't great, but this one was actually really good!

📍Hachiware Hamburg Steak

This dish features a hamburg steak topped with a fried egg,

accompanied by corn and vegetables.

You can choose between rice or bread.

Isn't Hachiware tucked under the blanket absolutely adorable? Hehe.

Personally, this was the best dish out of all the menu items we tried so far!

📍Momonga Chocolate Banana Parfait

And finally, the Momonga Parfait.

The Momonga face on top is

vanilla ice cream wrapped in tteok (rice cake).

Below, you'll find bananas and chocolate.

It's exactly what you'd expect from a classic sweet parfait!

We ordered quite a few things, and it came out to 9,680 JPY, but

with the weak yen, I think we got a great deal and ate very well!
