I actually didn't snag a reservation beforehand,

but managed to get in by applying for a same-day waiting ticket!

How to Make a Reservation

To make a reservation, simply select the Tokyo store on their official website,

then pick your preferred visit date, time, and the number of people in your party.

When you arrive, just show the electronic ticket QR code you received via email.

However, due to ongoing reservation system issues,

the purchase of priority admission tickets is temporarily suspended.

Just a heads-up: all November slots are currently completely sold out,

and even for December, only about a week's worth of slots are left.

The popularity is so intense that even I couldn't snag a reservation,

so I ended up going with a same-day numbered ticket instead.

Same-Day Numbered Tickets Without a Reservation

The Chiikawa Bakery Tokyo branch prioritizes guests with priority admission tickets from opening until 3 PM,

and starts distributing same-day admission tickets after 3 PM.

You can find that day's admission ticket registration link

on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Once you click the numbered ticket URL and enter your email,

you'll proceed to the next page. Then, within 30 minutes,

you'll need to complete registration one more time via the URL sent to your email.

I arrived around 3:30 PM and managed to register for a 4 PM slot.

Since the system only allowed registration for one person at a time,

my companion, who joined me a bit later, tried to access it too,

but the 4 PM slots were already fully booked, so they registered for 6 PM instead.

Just enter the email address where you want to receive your call notification one more time, and you're all set!

It turns out your registration number doesn't really hold too much weight!

I registered for 4 PM, and the moment the clock struck four,

I got a notification to enter.

My friend, who was with me, asked the staff,

and they were super helpful, offering to switch our 6 PM slot to 4 PM instead.

So glad we didn't have to wait ages to get in!

Oh, and a quick tip! There's actually another Chiikawa Bakery pop-up shop

on the B1 floor of Laforet Harajuku!

This spot operates as a separate store with free entry,

so if you're only interested in grabbing some merchandise and not necessarily the bread,

heading here might be your best bet!

Just remember, it's a different location from the bakery on the 3rd floor of Omo-Kado!

Chiikawa Bakery

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi

all dressed up in adorable bakery-themed outfits! And look, Shisa from the ramen shop is there to welcome you too! 🩷

Honestly, the bread looks even cuter in real life!

But I heard so many unfortunate rumors about the taste not being up to par, so I decided not to buy any.

Still, just seeing them was a complete delight and totally satisfying! Haha.

Here are the Chiikawa characters in hotdog and snail bread versions.

When I saw them in person, they were a tiny bit disappointing, so I ended up not getting them.

But oh my gosh, these little guys are insanely adorable!!!!!!

Look at Momonga, who's supposed to be working at the bakery, but is instead munching on some bread... so perfectly Momonga, right? 🩵

It was so Momonga-like that I simply couldn't resist!

I also snagged some soft plushies of Usagi and Momonga.

You'll find plenty of practical goodies too, like cups, tumblers, plates, and clothes.

Perfect for adding a touch of cuteness to your everyday life!

However, fair warning – most of the popular items were already sold out. ㅠㅠ

Good news for fashionistas – there was plenty of clothing in stock!

With the weather turning cooler, I'd definitely recommend going for the long-sleeved options over the short-sleeved ones!

Just a heads up, though: the material is pretty thin.

Who cares if the material is thin when it's this incredibly cute?!

Even if you missed out on making a reservation, don't fret! You can often snag same-day entry tickets without one,

and remember, you can also grab some amazing merchandise at the Laforet pop-up shop.
