I'm heading to Tokyo in October!

you can't find in Korea.
That's often the case,
and I just love Tokyo so much!
Plus, you can visit Disneyland
and even take a day tour to see Mount Fuji!

The famous tuna auction originally took place here,
but it has since moved to Toyosu Market.
What remains at Tsukiji Market now
is an vibrant outer market brimming with fresh seafood
and delicious street food.
While store hours vary, Tsukiji Outer Market generally
opens around 5-6 AM
and closes around 1-2 PM,
so by 3 PM,
many shops will have closed.
Many street stalls
only accept cash.
Even if there's a long line at popular tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) shops,
the turnover is quick, so you can usually get your food fast.
If you want to see the tuna auction, remember to
You can easily combine this with a visit to the relocated Toyosu Market!
Between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM,
you can watch the bustling auctions through the glass windows.

Since the 1990s,
Odaiba has transformed into a comprehensive tourist hub,
brimming with shopping malls, amusement parks,
and a vibrant waterfront.
Here are the absolute must-sees:

making it easy to include in the same itinerary.

and finally to the "Falling Universe of Flowers," where you lie down and witness a stunning spectacle of blooming and fading flowers.

The fundamental difference lies in art you observe versus art you bodily experience.
teamLab Borderless is a labyrinthine space with no set path,
where lights and visuals flow continuously between rooms.
You walk around with shoes on,
and it features iconic rooms like the 'Forest of Lamps'
and 'Bubble Universe.'
If you're seeking an emotional journey where you can truly lose yourself amidst vibrant art installations, then Borderless is for you.
At teamLab Planets,
you take off your shoes and socks at the entrance
and walk barefoot
to experience three themes:
Water, Forest, and Garden,
in sequence.
Walking through warm water up to your knees,
accompanied by projected videos of koi fish
swimming through the water,
is the signature experience.
With an expansion in early 2026,
active spaces like "Athletics Forest"
and "Future Park"
have been added,
making it even more popular with kids.
If you're making a practical choice:
Traveling with kids / Want to experience it hands-on →
Planets
Want to quietly appreciate the art and take atmospheric
photos → Borderless
Both attractions have viewing times
that aren't overly demanding (1.5-3 hours),
so many people include both
in their Tokyo itinerary.
Their locations are also on opposite sides of the city.
Borderless is in Azabudai Hills (Minato Ward),
while Planets is in Toyosu (Koto Ward).
If you plan to visit both
in one day,
it's best to plan your transportation route in advance.

I'll write another post specifically about Disneyland!
Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea Tickets

First off, since I'm planning to book my accommodation in Shinjuku,
I looked into some must-see spots around the area:
In Shinjuku, you'll find the Limousine Airport Bus Terminal, the Narita Express (NEX) train service,
and it's a popular hub for day trip bus tours, too!
Plus, you can get to Disneyland directly by limousine bus, which is super convenient!
For my first day, I'll be exploring Shinjuku,
and on the second day, it's off to Disneyland!
On the third day, I'm planning to check out trendy hotspots like
Nakameguro, Daikanyama, Sangenjaya, and Shimokitazawa.
The fourth day will be dedicated to a Mt. Fuji day bus tour!
And for the fifth day, I'm heading to Odaiba to explore its unique attractions.
From Shinjuku as your base, you'll find it easy to explore these hotspots and many other amazing places!
A 4-night, 5-day trip might seem short, but it's packed with adventure! ^^
