I can't believe I've been sitting on these draft photos since my last trip to Kaohsiung, but I'm finally sharing this incredible all-you-can-eat Taiwanese BBQ spot!
If you're looking for a massive meat feast in Taiwan, you need to save this place.

Located right in the heart of the city, this spot is easily accessible.
For convenience, let's just refer to it as Tianji Yakiniku.
While I usually travel solo, tackling an all-you-can-eat BBQ joint alone can be a bit daunting.
Luckily, I met up with some awesome friends from my surf camp whose schedules lined up perfectly in Kaohsiung!
We decided to grab a huge meal together before heading to the airport.
We initially set out looking for a hot pot buffet, but then we thought: why choose when we can have a place that serves both hot pot AND endless grilled meats?
The pricing tiers are 618, 798, and 988 NTD per person.
In USD, that translates to roughly ~$17 to ~$22!
Compared to BBQ buffets back home, this is an absolute steal for the quality and variety you get.
The venue is surprisingly spacious.
They had a fun Minions collaboration going on, with cute decorations near the entrance.
The interior design was delightfully eclectic.
When I went up to the second floor to use the restroom, I found myself in a full-blown Harry Potter-themed zone! Haha, it was so unexpected and fun.
We were shown to our seats and our table was fully prepped.
Because they offer such a wide variety of ingredients, they also provide an impressive lineup of dipping sauces and seasonings right at your table.
You order the raw meats and ingredients online using a web app.
(I'll explain how to order below!)
But first, it was time to raid the beverage bar.
They have a great selection of soft drinks, teas, and even slushies!
They also have an incredible ice cream station.
Along with Häagen-Dazs, they also featured Cold Stone Creamery. That's how you know a buffet is top-tier!
To order, you simply scan the QR code printed on your receipt.
This opens up a mobile web page where you can select your items.
They also had a Line app membership event offering a 5% discount... why didn't we sign up for that?!
The menu is absolutely massive.
While there is an English option, some translations can be a bit confusing.
Pro-tip: Just open the link in Google Chrome and use the built-in Google Translate feature for an easier experience!
Here is our first round of meats and our hot pot broth!
You can choose from three different soup bases for your hot pot.
We opted for the mildest option, which was a light, comforting Japanese-style dashi broth.
Of course, we couldn't resist throwing in some kimchi to give it a little kick!
The kimchi was a bit sweeter than authentic Korean kimchi, which is pretty common for local adaptations, but it still added nice flavor to the soup.
The grilling is all DIY, and we had a blast cooking up a storm.
With three of us, we kept ordering all our favorites non-stop!
We focused heavily on the beef and pork cuts.
We noticed the local tables ordering massive amounts of seafood too, which looked amazing!
We did balance out the meat with some veggies and scallops!
Grilling seafood can be a bit tricky to time perfectly, so we stuck mostly to the quick-cooking meats.
They also had the puffy Japanese-style mochi (the kind you see in anime like Crayon Shin-chan!).
We ordered that twice (there was a minor ordering limit on it), and my absolute favorite—beef tongue—we ordered at least four times!
It was so tender and delicious.
And of course, we finished everything off with some delicious Häagen-Dazs ice cream.
With completely full and happy bellies, we headed off to the airport for our flight home.
