The Anam Deluxe Room Review
Words & Photos by High Couple
If you're heading to Nha Trang for a tropical Vietnam getaway,
you're likely considering the resorts in the Cam Ranh area near the airport.
Today, I'm sharing my experience staying at
The Anam Resort in Cam Ranh, including a Deluxe Room review
and exactly why we chose this gorgeous property!

The Anam Resort Cam Ranh |
Check-in: 3:00 PM~ Check-out: ~12:00 PM Location: Approx. 15-minute drive from Cam Ranh Airport Nightly Rate: From ~$230 (Weekend base) Special Note: Evening turndown service provided |
The Anam Cam Ranh Resort is located just
about a 15-minute drive north of Cam Ranh International Airport.
There is a long stretch of resorts hugging the coastline right from the airport,
and this property sits towards the very end of that strip.
The nightly rate for a weekend stay is around the ~$230 mark,
which is the price point we paid for our Deluxe Room.

We debated heavily when choosing our accommodation,
but here is exactly why we ultimately chose The Anam:
1. Incredible ratings and reviews from fellow travelers.
2. Endless photogenic spots for the perfect vacation snaps.
The resorts in Cam Ranh generally have high standards,
so we knew the quality would be top-notch regardless.
More importantly, the more we researched, the more we realized
the resort grounds were packed with stunning, Instagram-worthy spots.
Since our main goal was to relax and take beautiful photos for a day,
the overall aesthetic was a huge deciding factor!
For reference, we opted for the budget-friendly standard room,
but their private pool villas tucked into the lush jungle
looked absolutely incredible for families or larger groups.

Next, let me walk you through The Anam's lobby vibe
and the check-in process.

As soon as our car pulled up to the resort,
the friendly staff immediately took our luggage and guided us to the lobby.
We were lucky enough to be greeted by an English-speaking
staff member named Ryan, which made everything a breeze.

The lobby features a classic open-air Southeast Asian design,
allowing the tropical breeze to flow right through.
What made the lobby truly unforgettable
was the view the moment you turn around.
The lush landscaping stretching out toward the ocean
instantly puts you in full vacation mode.

We were seated in the lobby lounge for check-in
and were served a refreshing welcome drink and snacks.
The sweet, iced tea was incredibly refreshing,
and the crispy coconut cookies were a delicious touch.

During check-in, they explained the resort's layout,
and I realized the property is surprisingly massive.
From the gym and spa to multiple restaurants,
everything you need is right here on the grounds,
meaning you honestly never have to leave if you don't want to.
Just a heads up: you will need a physical credit card
for the room deposit at check-in, so don't forget to pack one!

After check-in, we were escorted to our room.
Our Deluxe Room was located in the building right next to the lobby,
making it a super convenient 2-3 minute walk.

We were assigned Room 5216,
located on the second floor of this building.

As is typical with high-end Southeast Asian resorts,
the room was incredibly spacious and pristine.
I especially loved that they had already turned the AC on
before we arrived, so we were hit with a blast of cool air instantly.

We booked a Twin Room, which featured two beds
centered in the space, and charming wooden shutters
that opened right up to the bathroom and bathtub.
The twin beds were standard single size,
but the mattresses were wonderfully plush and perfect for resting.

Opposite the beds, there's a TV and a table,
along with four complimentary bottles of water.

Below the TV stand, you'll find the mini-fridge,
glassware, and other room amenities.
Keep in mind that aside from the coffee and tea bags,
everything else in the minibar is paid.
(Charges will be deducted from your card deposit at check-out.)

The entryway closet holds an iron, a safe,
and plush slippers. A uniquely local touch
was the inclusion of two traditional Vietnamese conical hats (Non La).
Wearing them while walking around the resort
gave us that authentic Vietnam vibe and was a lot of fun.

Right by the balcony doors, there's a two-person sofa
and a table set with a welcome fruit platter.
It included dragon fruit, apples, and tangerines,
making for the perfect light afternoon snack.

The balcony itself had outdoor seating and a drying rack.
Since we were on the second floor, our view was mostly obscured by trees.
We didn't end up spending much time out there,
but the blocked view was a minor letdown.

Moving on to the bathroom, the floor-to-ceiling
tile work gave the space a very luxurious feel.
The glass-enclosed shower and toilet face each other,
while the dual vanity sits directly across from the massive bathtub.

The shower setup is straightforward,
and they provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.
Personally, I loved the scent of their bath products,
so I didn't even bother unpacking the ones I brought from home.

Other bathroom amenities included combs, toothbrush kits,
and shower caps. Interestingly, they do not
provide disposable razors.
(I just used the one I brought with me.)

The soaking tub is incredibly spacious—large enough
for a tall adult to fully recline and relax.
After coming back from an evening massage,
I took a hot bath, and it felt like all my travel fatigue
just melted away instantly.
I highly recommend taking advantage of it morning and night!
But let's be honest, the most important part of a resort
is the pools and the private beach, right?
Let me show you the stunning water features
that The Anam has to offer.
There are three distinct swimming pools on the property,
each with its own unique vibe.

📍 The First Pool is located right in front of the lobby
and boasts a sweeping view straight out to the ocean.
As the main pool, it's definitely the most crowded,
and snagging a sunbed here can be quite competitive.

📍 The Second Pool is situated to the left of the lobby.
It has a much more private, secluded feel to it.
This is also the only area with a dedicated kids' pool,
making it the perfect spot if you're traveling with little ones.
It gets a bit less direct sunlight due to the surrounding trees,
but it was still packed with guests enjoying the shade.

📍 The Third Pool is located near the restaurant.
It is the largest pool on the property and generally the quietest.
You can enjoy the ocean breeze in peace here,
and the adjacent pool bar makes ordering drinks dangerously easy.
However, there is very little shade here, so the midday sun
is intense—make sure you pack plenty of SPF!

📍 Finally, the private beach is incredibly expansive
and kept spotlessly clean by the resort staff.
Even though we didn't go for a swim in the ocean,
just sitting at the beach bar with a drink, staring at the waves,
was the ultimate relaxing experience.
It was one of those moments where you think to yourself,
'This is exactly why people go on beach vacations.'
The Anam Resort was the absolute perfect place
to unwind and recharge on our first day in Nha Trang.
The entire property is landscaped like a tropical paradise,
making evening strolls incredibly peaceful.
Between the gorgeous pool vistas and the ocean views,
just laying on a sunbed all day felt like time well spent.
While it is a very popular resort among tourists,
that popularity translates to excellent service and
a very safe, comfortable environment for travelers.
If you are debating which resort to book in the Cam Ranh area,
I cannot recommend The Anam highly enough.
