Tejaprana Bisma Ubud

Tejaprana Bisma is a 4-star pool villa resort (with near 5-star quality) located about 1km from the center of Ubud.

📌In fact, hot spots like Pison Ubud, Monkey Forest, Deus Ex Machina, and the Ubud Palace were all within a 10-minute walk.

Since every room has its own private pool, you rarely bump into other guests, making it incredibly private.

The Room: Pool Villa Valley View (Jungle View)

For my stay at Tejaprana Bisma in Ubud, the room options included Garden View, Forest View, and Valley View. I chose the Valley View, which offers the best scenery, and I bet anyone visiting on a romantic getaway or honeymoon will absolutely love it!

The high ceilings (around 4 meters!) give the room an incredibly luxurious feel, and the Balinese-style lighting creates a beautiful, warm atmosphere.

The bed was even larger than two king singles joined together, so I slept like an absolute baby.

The room is so spacious that it easily fits a sofa and a dining table. I was so touched to find welcome fruits and a handwritten letter waiting for me when I checked in!

The bathroom and toilet are separated from the bedroom area, making the space feel incredibly spacious and clean. Plus, having double sinks makes it absolutely perfect for couples or honeymooners!

During our two-night stay, we loved having plenty of closet space, and the rattan details added that perfect, dreamy Balinese vibe.

I loved that we could easily attach a shower filter in the bathroom, and all the toiletries were from Sensatia Botanicals, Bali's premium luxury brand. Hotels in Bali that stock Sensatia are usually high-end 4 to 5-star properties, so definitely keep an eye out for their amenities!

The terrace with the private pool was incredibly private and serene.

With a luxurious stone bathtub for a spa-like soak and an outdoor sofa table, it was the perfect romantic spot to read a book in the morning.

For proper swimming, we headed to the main infinity pool, but having our own private pool to lounge and enjoy snacks in our room made our stay so cozy.

📌Since Ubud accommodations are nestled in the jungle, I was a bit worried about mosquitoes. However, the staff frequently asked if we wanted mosquito coils lit, and they took extra care to manage it in the evenings. Thanks to them, I didn't get bitten once!

Floating Breakfast + Infinity Pool

Breakfast at Tejaprana Bisma is served à la carte with unlimited options. I ordered a floating breakfast the day before!

First off, the main infinity pool overlooks a lush jungle and looks absolutely breathtaking at sunset. Maybe everyone was chilling in their own private pools, because there was nobody else at the main pool... It felt like I rented out the entire place for myself!

The reason I went with the floating breakfast was because out of my 2-night stay, I couldn't have regular breakfast on one day anyway, and I wanted to make the other day extra special by taking fun photos. (And honestly, floating breakfasts look the absolute best in photos!) haha

You just need to pick whatever you want from the breakfast menu above the day before and schedule your preferred time.

After taking tons of photos and splashing around in the jungle-view pool, the water was actually a bit deep... haha. So we ended up having our actual breakfast at the table. The staff were incredibly sweet—they moved everything over and set it up for us perfectly! So kind... 😭

I was so hungry after swimming that I scarfed it all down and forgot to take close-up photos of the food...

✅ We had eggs benedict, avocado toast, a smoothie bowl, an omelet, croissants, and more! Everything was... absolutely delicious...

Oh! And since we stayed for two nights, we let them know we couldn't make it to breakfast one morning because of an early East Bali tour. To our surprise, they offered to pack us a breakfast box!

I told them just a couple of simple sandwiches would be more than enough, but they packed so much more—pastries, fresh fruit, and orange juice! We shared it with our tour guide, and it was such a heartwarming gesture. (Seriously, I love the Bisma staff... they are so incredibly kind! 😭)

Spa & Massage

Before starting the spa session, we went through a professional consultation with a checklist to specify which areas we wanted to focus on or avoid.

Along with a refreshing welcome drink, we got to choose our favorite scent for the massage oil.

Walking down the incredibly luxurious hallway led us to our private couple's massage room.

I was absolutely blown away by how elegant the spa room was...!

The ultimate reason for booking a pool villa in Bali is to enjoy a true staycation where you can experience everything without ever having to leave the resort.

Since we were completely exhausted after our East Bali tour, we decided to get massages right at the hotel. Having it in a quiet, private couple's spa room made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing.

During this trip, I completely fell in love with Balinese oil massages. Even with a medium pressure for just one hour, all the tension in my shoulders and sore leg muscles completely melted away.

It was the best feeling ever because after the session, we could just head straight back to our room and fall asleep! It was a moment where we truly experienced top-tier, luxury service at an amazing hotel.

We debated having dinner via room service, but in the end, we decided to dine at the hotel restaurant.

Barramundi is a premium Asian sea bass that's also highly popular in Australia. The flesh was incredibly tender and paired perfectly with the sauce. Enjoying it with a side of mashed potatoes made it taste so wonderfully clean and savory.

✅ Spanish Prawns

For our appetizer, we had the Spanish Prawns! If you're a seafood lover, you're going to love this. The texture of the whole prawns tossed in a garlic butter and olive oil-based sauce was incredible. They were plump, bouncy, and had a lovely hint of smoky char from the grill that took them to the next level.

✅ Beef Rendang

This was once voted the world's #1 dish by CNN! If you're visiting Bali, this is a must-try. Beef is slow-cooked for hours in coconut milk and a rich blend of local spices. The texture is incredibly tender—similar to braised beef brisket (or Korean jangjorim) but with a much richer, melt-in-your-mouth sauce. It's a crowd-pleaser for sure!

✅ Balinese Roasted Duck

I actually just found out on this trip that duck is quite famous in Indonesia! This is duck roasted in the traditional Balinese style. It was wonderfully crispy on the outside, and paired beautifully with the accompanying dipping sauce.

I especially love herbal dipping sauces, so this was right up my alley. However, if you are a bit sensitive to local spices, you might want to try one of the other options!

✅ Dessert - Between the brownie and the strawberry gelato, I highly recommend the brownie! It is so rich and fudgy, and paired perfectly with the vanilla ice cream.

My Final Thoughts

Tejaprana Bisma, our Ubud oasis, has an amazing location, making it incredibly easy to plan our daily itinerary and get around during our 2-night stay.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and since the resort is made up entirely of private pool villas, we rarely ran into other guests, which offered wonderful privacy.

Best of all, the villa was by far the most spacious room of all the places we stayed at during this Bali trip. Plus, the staff remembered our names and greeted us personally—their incredible hospitality made us feel 100% happy throughout our stay.
