If you're looking for amazing restaurants in Bali's Uluwatu, make sure to save this!
The restaurant I visited this time, Teja, had very few reviews from Korean visitors,
so I decided to book based on Google reviews.
And let me tell you, it turned out to be one of the most incredible restaurants in Uluwatu,
that truly stole my heart!
Exotic ambiance + stunning sunset views + delicious food
It was the perfect trifecta – everything just clicked!
I'll give you a detailed breakdown of why this Uluwatu gem is a must-visit.
Details about the birthday cake I received, plus
insider booking tips, how to snag the best tables, and more
will all be shared at the end of this post :)

➕ Tip!!
While there isn't a strict dress code,
most of the Western guests visiting Teja Restaurant
do tend to dress up a bit.
Given the restaurant's beautiful ambiance and stunning sunset views,
and abundant photo opportunities,
it seems everyone makes an effort to look their best.
So, I highly recommend dressing up a little to match the vibe!
Since popular Uluwatu spots can get busy, walking in
might mean difficulty securing a table or a long wait,
so I highly recommend making a reservation in advance of your visit.

An Exotic Atmosphere Awaits!
From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the incredibly exotic atmosphere.
The wood-toned interior, complemented by lush palm trees on the terrace seating,
and from a prime sunset spot, the distant Indian Ocean stretching out before you –
it was all so breathtakingly beautiful, photos simply can't do it justice.

Both the indoor and outdoor spaces boast unique, charming views,
but I made sure to reserve an outdoor table in advance.

This photo captures the view from the terrace table near the entrance.

And this is the view from the indoor seating behind our table.
Even the indoor seating, excluding the main hall, is open-concept,
so you still get unobstructed views.
What makes Teja Restaurant stand out is that
each table offers a unique vista,
making it perfect for soaking in that truly exotic vibe.
Let's Talk About the Food!
Teja Restaurant's menu offers
both set course meals and a la carte options.
If you're a honeymooning couple or celebrating an anniversary,
the course menu would be a fantastic choice.
However, we opted for a la carte dishes.

For two of us, we ordered the following dishes:
Pork Tomahawk 550g 470,000 RP
BBQ Octopus 220,000 RP
Heirloom Tomatoes 70,000 RP
Asparagus 95,000 RP

First, we were served some delicious pre-meal bread.

I've often found that restaurants with spectacular views
don't always deliver on the culinary front,
but Teja Restaurant genuinely surpassed all my expectations!
Every single dish we ordered was incredibly delicious, without exception.
Personally, I especially recommend trying the octopus – it's an absolute must-have!
It's unbelievably tender and flavorful.

The plating is also beautifully done, making it perfect for those Instagram-worthy shots.
But best of all, the direct view while enjoying our meal
was absolutely spectacular!
With the distant Indian Ocean stretching out before us,
it made for an incredibly atmospheric and delightful dinner.
This spot isn't just a famous restaurant in Uluwatu, but also...
the prices don't seem overly expensive either,
and most importantly, I feel like the quality totally matches the price!

For dessert,
we ordered the Dark Chocolate Tart (85,000 RP).
I'll tell you all about the special birthday lettering service in the 'Pro Tips' section below,
so keep an eye out for that!
➕ Pro Tip!!
There's a minimum order of 550K RP per person,
and all menu items are subject to an 11% tax and a 6% service charge.
We ordered two main dishes, two sides, one dessert,
and two drinks, which was more than enough to meet the minimum charge.
If you're not big eaters,
the menu combination we chose should be perfect for you.
Keep this in mind when you order!
Sunset Timing
I made a reservation for 5:30 PM and visited the restaurant.
Each table has a seating limit of 2 hours.
If you arrive too early, the sunlight can hit directly,
making it quite hot and requiring sunglasses.
That's why if you book your visit for 5:30~6:00 PM,
you'll have plenty of time to enjoy everything from the stunning sunset to the beautiful night view.

Teza Restaurant is renowned for its sunset views, but
its night view is just as spectacular!

There are also tables located below the main terrace seating,
including some standing tables.
Even further down, you'll find spots that are even closer to the incredible sunset views.
It's a popular spot for people to head down after their meal to enjoy another drink or two,
and soak in the vibe.

As darkness falls, they light bonfires,
and the lights twinkle on, making the night view absolutely stunning.

It truly is an Uluwatu restaurant with an incredibly beautiful view.

Even the pathway to the restroom is beautifully decorated,
with a wonderfully exotic interior.

And the view on the way out of the restroom?
The sunset is truly like a masterpiece painting.

The restrooms are clean, and even the floral decorations inside are beautifully arranged.
Teza Restaurant: Overall Review & Pro Tips
My Top Tips!!!
✅ How to Snag the Best Seat in the House
The table I booked offered both a stunning sunset view and a panoramic Indian Ocean view,
allowing you to take in both at a single glance.
It's truly a prime, front-and-center spot.
From this spot, you can enjoy the magnificent view,
and you can also see people enjoying themselves standing on the lawn area in front.
It's a fantastic seat because you get to take it all in!

This is the table where I sat!
When choosing your table on the website,
select "Mezzanine" and then
in the booking note, simply write "mez 8 table".
That will ensure you get this exact table!
I actually asked a staff member directly via WhatsApp about how to get this table, after seeing it in Google review photos.
However, make sure to bring sunglasses – they're an absolute must!!
And definitely apply sunscreen before you go :)
✅ Birthday Lettering Service
Since it was my friend's birthday around the time of our visit,
I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask if they had any cake options.
They replied that they have various dessert options,
and if we ordered one, they could add a special birthday lettering service!
So I kept that in mind.
On the day of our visit, we ordered a dessert,
and I honestly had forgotten all about my earlier inquiry.
But guess what!!!! The staff members
brought out our dessert with candles, singing a cheerful birthday song!

It was such a delightful surprise, even for me who had initially asked!
They must have made a delicate note of it,
They prepared it for us when we ordered dessert.

If you're planning to visit for an anniversary,
definitely ask them on WhatsApp! :)
From the food to the service, I was
so, so satisfied!

There were hardly any reviews from Koreans,
so I visited this Uluwatu restaurant purely based on Google reviews,
but after going, I can confidently say it's one of the best for a sunset dinner
restaurant.

If I go to Uluwatu again,
I would want to revisit Teja Restaurant so much that
it was such a satisfying sunset dinner.
If you're heading to Bali, save this spot
and definitely keep it in mind!!
