Eastin Ashta Resort Canggu Review: Bali Value Stay

This was my second incredible trip to Bali! This year, my itinerary took me from Canggu to Seminyak, and finally to Nusa Dua.

Since I was planning a wellness club and running schedule in Canggu, I knew I wouldn't spend much time inside the hotel room. I set out to find a budget-friendly stay that didn't compromise on quality, and boy, did I strike gold! The location, facilities, and price were absolutely perfect.

- I actually caught a mild case of Bali Belly and had to visit the clinic at 7:00 AM. Thanks to an IV drip and some quick meds, I bounced back in half a day and fully enjoyed the rest of my trip! The clinic is literally in front of the hotel, and they can even send a doctor straight to your room.

We arrived on a late-night flight, but luckily, we had pre-arranged a hotel pickup service. Check-in was incredibly smooth and hassle-free even past midnight.

The lobby is impressively spacious!

We got assigned a room on the 5th floor. There are elevators on both ends of the hallway, so getting around was super easy and convenient.

At check-in, the staff mentioned we had an ocean view, and waking up the next morning, we saw exactly what they meant! You can see the sea, and the trendy Desa Kitsune cafe is right next door. Since we stayed from Saturday to Monday, noise wasn't an issue at all.

A cute towel elephant welcomed us upon arrival, and they even made us another one after we came back from our day out! The room itself is very clean. The only minor drawback is the slightly damp sheets from the seaside air.

Pro Tip!

If you're sensitive to textures when sleeping, here's a quick hack. I wrapped myself in a dry, fluffy body towel first, then pulled the blanket over me. The hotel is generous with towels, so this works like a charm to bypass that humid feeling! Plus, the weather wasn't overly hot, making it perfect for a cozy night's sleep.

The room is incredibly spacious—even with two large suitcases fully laid out, there was plenty of room to walk around. I also loved that the sink is located outside the bathroom, making it super convenient for getting ready.

The shower and toilet are completely separated, and you can easily swap in your own shower filter if you brought one.

To pack lighter, I skipped bringing a travel kettle this time. Instead, I brought some kettle cleaning tablets and gave the hotel kettle a thorough clean as soon as we checked in.

The balcony view is lovely, especially with the sun shining down. It's the perfect spot to dry your swimsuits, which dry in no time under the Bali sun.

After a 2-night stay, our shower filter was surprisingly clean! The water quality here is actually quite decent. I'll share my thoughts on the breakfast and other amenities in my next post!

My trip was in late June 2026, staying Saturday to Monday (2 nights, breakfast included). I booked it for around ~$96, but I've recently seen deals as low as ~$58 a night depending on the booking platform and dates. It's always best to get the same room for a better price!
