01 After Arriving at Takamatsu Airport
The flight time from Incheon to Takamatsu is
about **1 hour and 45 minutes**.
Compared to Fukuoka, which is 1 hour and 20 minutes,
it's just a little bit longer.

Takamatsu Airport is quite charming, reflecting its smaller city size,
especially when you compare it to Fukuoka! 😊

After getting off the plane,
the immigration process and baggage claim are super quick, too! Haha.

Even though it's a smaller city, many people are traveling to Japan's charming smaller destinations these days,
so you'll find helpful Korean signs everywhere.

And the airport Wi-Fi works wonderfully!

From here, I immediately headed to the airport limousine bus
to make my way into Takamatsu city center.

4 Ways to Get to the City Center
There are four main ways to travel from Takamatsu Airport to the city center:
**limousine bus, taxi, rental car,**
and **airport pick-up service.**

so let's explore them!

Most tourists will likely opt for the **airport limousine bus**.
The airport limousine bus conveniently connects Takamatsu Airport to key city areas such as **Takamatsu Station, Kawaramachi, and Hyogomachi**.

The airport bus takes about 35 minutes to Kawaramachi and approximately 50 minutes to Takamatsu Station, so the city center isn't far at all.

🚕 Taxi
For those who find everything else a hassle,
simply hop in a taxi, it's the easiest way! 😉
If you have a lot of luggage
or are traveling with a group,
the biggest advantage is being able to go straight to your accommodation.
However, if you're traveling solo or as a pair,
the cost can add up quite a bit.
Unless it's your very last day,
I'd personally opt for the airport bus! 😊

🚗 Rental Car
If your plan is to explore not just Takamatsu city
but also the surrounding areas of Kagawa Prefecture,
then a rental car is an excellent choice!
At Takamatsu Airport,
you'll find various rental car companies like Toyota, Nippon, Times, Nissan, Orix, and more.
They also offer free shuttle services
between the airport and their respective offices.
The city itself is compact, which also makes driving on the right side less intimidating.
🚗 Airport Pickup Service
For family trips or when traveling with a larger group,
using an airport pickup service is also a great option.
You can reserve a larger vehicle,
and it can take all your luggage at once
and drop you off directly at your accommodation.
With a professional driver taking care of everything,
reliability is another big plus, wouldn't you agree?

How to Ride, Timetable, and Location
Upon arriving at Takamatsu Airport,
I immediately purchased my limousine bus ticket.

You'll find the
self-service bus ticket vending machine
in the arrival lobby on the 1st floor of the airport, so it's super easy to locate.

From here, you simply select your destination
and purchase your ticket.
Most people usually go for Option 2: Towards Takamatsu.

If you prefer a paper ticket,
you can buy one this way, but these days,
you can also tap your card

or purchase your ticket in advance online

04 My Experience Riding the Airport Bus

I headed towards Exit 2
to catch the bus into Takamatsu city.

Getting from Takamatsu Airport to the city center
is incredibly easy!
(It feels even smaller than Jeju Airport! >_<)
As you wait in line,
the driver steps out and kindly
helps you load your luggage onto the bus.

Since you're traveling with people who were mostly on the same flight,
most of them are Korean, haha!

The bus also offers Wi-Fi,
so you can check your next itinerary
or maps while you travel.

While enjoying the views outside,
we arrived in the city center before we knew it!

We got off at
Kawaramachi Station, which was close to our hotel.

The bus driver is awesome – they even check your luggage tag
and unload your bags in order! 👍
Takamatsu Airport is quite small,
so even traveling to the city center by bus on the first day
didn't feel tiring at all! 🥰
