The Airport Rail Link used to be my go-to, especially when I arrived during the daytime. Back then, ride-hailing apps like Grab and Bolt weren't as common, and I had a bit of a preconception that taxis would be too expensive. If you're arriving in the daytime and want to use this method, just follow the signs for the 'Airport Rail Link' downstairs. It's a straightforward journey into the city, connecting you to the BTS Skytrain system.

You'll need to grab a queue ticket from a machine, which helps ensure you get a metered taxi and avoid being overcharged, a definite plus! The only real downside is that the queue can get pretty long, especially during peak hours. Just follow the 'Public Taxi' signs, and you'll find it easily.
Using a ride-hailing app like Grab or Bolt is super popular. Generally, Bolt cars tend to be quicker to find, but sometimes Grab can be slightly cheaper – though prices fluctuate constantly, so it's not a hard and fast rule. When you book via the app, it'll show you the designated pick-up spot. Just head there and wait for your ride. Among the many Bangkok airport pick-up services, I first spotted the KKday sign, then found my name on their list. Once I confirmed my name with the staff, they gave me my vehicle number.
Just like that! After a short wait, the driver and vehicle arrived, and I simply hopped into the correct car. Easy peasy.
The boarding area was also quite crowded. Since I'd already entered my hotel address when booking from home, all I had to do was make sure I got into the right car. The fare was also pre-paid, so there was nothing else for me to worry about.
I arrived safely and comfortably at my accommodation.
