Sunrise Nha Trang Hotel Review 2026: Ocean Views
Discover why Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa offers some of the best value ocean views in Vietnam. Read our full 2026 review with room and pool tips!
It's the perfect time of year to pack your bags for a Southeast Asian getaway.
During my recent 6-day trip to Vietnam, I spent three nights at this hidden gem.
Here is my honest, unsponsored review of Sunrise Nha Trang.

Overall, I was incredibly satisfied with this budget-friendly, ocean-view hotel.
If you are planning a trip to Nha Trang, it should definitely be on your radar.
I'll be covering the location, basic info, room condition,
amenities (pool, bar), and my personal pros and cons.
There is nothing quite like escaping to Southeast Asia during the colder months!
The dry season runs from January to August,
making early-year travel the absolute best time for breezy, comfortable weather.
Sunrise Nha Trang
When choosing where to stay in Nha Trang, you generally have two options:
the airport-adjacent Cam Ranh area or the downtown city center.
The Cam Ranh area is packed with luxury resorts perfect for a secluded beach vacation, while the city center is known for high-value, budget-friendly hotels.
If you want pure relaxation, go for a Cam Ranh resort.
If you want to sightsee and do a foodie tour, a downtown hotel is much more convenient.
Because I wanted the best of both worlds—relaxation and city exploration—
I spent 3 nights at Sunrise Nha Trang and 1 night at Fusion Resort.
Basic Info & Pros/Cons
Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 12:00 PM
📍 Why I Chose It:
1. The Ocean View (It is absolutely breathtaking!)
2. Location
3. Incredible Value
Usually, location is my number one priority when booking accommodations,
but I fell in love with the ocean views at Sunrise Nha Trang first.
After looking into it, the location, price, and pool sealed the deal.
📍 Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa
12-14 Trần Phú, Xương Huân, Nha Trang, Khánh Hòa 650000 Vietnam
✔️ Address
12-14 Trần Phú, Xương Huân, Nha Trang,
Khánh Hòa 650000 Vietnam
15 to 20-minute walk to the main downtown hub
Grab ride: 36,000 to 40,000 VND
While it's a bit of a trek to walk to the main downtown area in the midday heat, getting a Grab is incredibly easy and cheap, so it wasn't an inconvenience at all.
Honestly, I actually preferred being slightly removed from the main strip.
The dead-center of downtown is packed with tourists, honking cars, and noisy motorbikes late into the night, which would have made relaxing difficult.
Lotte Mart is a must-visit for souvenir shopping in Nha Trang,
and the hotel is super close to the Lotte Mart Nha Trang Gold Coast branch.
I think I ended up going there once a day... haha.
The views and room condition speak for themselves!!!!!
Waking up to this ocean view for less than ~$77 a night is an absolute steal! ♥
There are cheaper room options available, but you MUST book the ocean view!
Taking in the sea from the balcony of this antique-style room
made me so happy every single morning~~~
You can even see a peek of the pool from the balcony, which I loved.

The pool has a very unique, beautiful aesthetic.
The water is clean, and it wasn't overly crowded, so we could really relax.
Aside from not having a private beach, Sunrise Nha Trang
has everything you need for a fantastic staycation.
If I had to point out a downside, the building itself is older, so some areas show their age. However, it's very well-maintained, giving it more of an elegant, antique vibe rather than just feeling old.
✔️ Deluxe Ocean View King Room
They have various room types, but I highly recommend the ocean view!!
The bed felt like two single beds pushed together—it was massive.
It almost felt like sleeping in a twin bed because there was so much space.

I had read some reviews mentioning weak water pressure, so I was a bit worried,
but the pressure was totally fine and the hot water worked perfectly.
(Pro tip: Bringing a filtered showerhead is a must for Southeast Asia!)
Amenities included:
Toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, body wash, and shampoo.
✔️ The Pool
Hours (Free for guests):
6:00 AM ~ 8:00 PM

A Roman-style dome pool that feels like an ancient temple.
It gets deeper toward the center, reaching a maximum depth of 5.9 feet. There are free life jackets available, but note that there is no air pump for inflatables.

We ordered a burger and some beers while swimming, and it hit the spot!
A beef burger and 3 cans of beer came out to about ~$23.
The burger was good, but the french fries were absolutely top-tier.
✔️ Lobby Bar
Hours: Until 10:00 PM
This bar is located right in the lobby of Sunrise Nha Trang.
There isn't always a bartender standing behind the counter, so it might look closed,
but just let the front desk know and someone will come right over to serve you.

Classic Cocktail: 105,000 VND
Johnnie Walker Red Label: 60,000 VND
Johnnie Walker Black Label: 80,000 VND x 2
Total: 325,000 VND
(Approximately ~$14)
Because the prices are so reasonable, it's definitely worth
grabbing a nightcap here if you are staying at the hotel.
✔️ Breakfast
6:00 AM ~ 10:30 AM
Imperial Restaurant (across from the lobby)

The dining room itself is stunning,
but the breakfast was just okay... the pho was the only standout dish.
Since downtown Nha Trang is packed with incredibly cheap and delicious local restaurants,
we only ate the hotel breakfast once and dined out the rest of the trip.
Being slightly removed from the busy downtown area might be a downside for some,
but if you prefer a quieter environment like I do, it's actually a huge plus.
There are plenty of budget-friendly hotels in downtown Nha Trang,
but when you factor in the views and the unique architecture, Sunrise Hotel is tough to beat!
With its gorgeous pool, it's the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway ♥
✔️ Pro Tip
I had a specific room request, so I emailed them
before check-in, and they happily accommodated me.
If you have any special requests, definitely shoot them an email^.^
Their response time is incredibly fast!
